TURN 8 The zombie attempts to charge at Pierce, but is quickly dispatched by Arnik's guisarm. The skeleton sees two threats. Normally that would be a dilemma for a large mindless creature, but this one simply swings one massive morningstar at each. The strike against Morik was a bit to his left, and he expertly deflects it with his shield. The strike against Arnik comes down hard on his shoulder. A few inches to one side, though, and it would have been his head. (Arnik takes 13 damage) XP Awards everyone: 1 kill - 300XP Arnik - killing blow - 100XP Pierce - nothing this round Morik - bloodying a foe - 100XP BEGIN TURN 9

"Let me know if you need any help with the little one there Magey!" Calling over his shoulder to Pierce, he continues to put pressure on the bigger one, his shield held towards it and his axe coming around for another swing, although his taking time to talk to Pierce throws his aim off and his strike falls wide of its target.
+1 AC vs the Large Skeleton. Attack:2+5=7 Damage: 5+3=8
Total XP so far: 1700 (this is for my own records so I don't have to keep going back and counting....and I can't find my Character sheet or I'd write it down. Also, its only relevant to me. No idea if this matches what you guys have received.)

Arnik grunts again as his attacker connects with a solid blow, but it seems only to serve to make him fight harder. His resolve strengthened, he shifts into a defensive stance with his guirsarme ready to parry an oncoming blow while bringing his weapon up to jab at the creature's rib cage.
[OOC: Manuever Granted = Crusader's Strike - Giving me Charging Minotaur, Dousing the Flame's and Crusader's Strike available.
Free Action -> Switch to Martial Spirit Aura Move Action -> 5 ft step to (2,0) Standard Action -> Activate Combat Expertise (-3) + Crusader's Strike Attack -> 16-3+7+1=21 to hit Damage -> 8+1+4+1=14 damage AC = 20 until next turn Crusader's Strike Heal = 4+3=7 damage Martial Spirit Heal = 2 damage
As to the reason I only took one damage instead of 10; I activated Stone Bones on the turn he hit me, which is a Stone Dragon Strike. This gave me DR 5 and allowed me to use Stone Power giving me 4 temporary hitpoints. In this case, you are right that I should have simply taken the damage rather than putting it in my delayed damage pool because I thought both affects ended simultaneously, but Stone Power is at the beginning of my turn and Steely Resolve is at the end. So, I will do one less damage, but instead of putting it in the delayed damage pool I will just have the damage come off the top.
Current Health = [27/27] Delayed Damage Pool = [5/5]

Pierce takes a step back, "They're not so tough."
and casts another iteration of his disruption spell at the zombie that is following him.
disrupt undead, 11+3=14 touch. 4 damage
[Add the following if the zombie doesn't fall] "Or maybe they are, but I should be able to handle it. Take care of the big guy first"
Current XP: 1900
HP: 26/26 Spells Left: 0- 2/6. 1- 3/6

I drew the picture before I made the rolls. I went ahead and rolled Arnik's AoO's for him, and he ended up killing the zombie. It's not actually there anymore.
Perhaps I'll edit my pictures after AoO's are resolved from now on, to aviod this confusion.

ok... well that changes my action, not anyone else's, but I can just change my target. The numbers shouldn't be different.
Also, I don't take that five foot step.

Well, it does change my action, but only slightly. I'm going to take a 5 foot step to the west, so that the big guy would have to actively go around me to get to pierce. (that should put me back at (0,0) again)

Swinging again, he puts all his might behind it, wanting to get rid of this thing as fast as possible. As he does so though, he still keeps sure to keep his shield held towards at the right angle to deflect its attacks.

Arnik's weapon becomes a blur as he performs a series of feints towards the skeleton's torso before suddenly dropping to a crouch and hooking the creature's leg with the spike of his guirsarme and giving it a pull with all of his might. Watching the creature begin to lose balance, he pulls his weapon back far and lunges to further push it off balance as it crashes towards the floor.
[OOC: Reading back through the ToB, I realized that I can only ready 5 of my 6 manuevers at any time, so I will drop charging minotaur from the list of manuevers I am readying. Therefore, this round I have to refresh my list of manuevers and I am granted three new ones.
Manuevers granted this turn: Foehammer, Stone Bones, Leading the Attack
Standard Action -> Trip attack against the skeleton Melee Touch Attack -> 7+7+1 = 15 Opposed Strength-Check -> 16+4+3= 23 Melee Attack if that hits -> 9+7= 16 Damage -> 3+5+4= 12 damage Martial Spirit Aura -> 2 Damage Healed
Move Action -> 5-ft step one square north to (2,2)
Health [24/27] Delayed Damage [0/5]

[/ooc] What about the XP for killing the zombie? There have been 5 zombies so far, they are all destroyed yet we have only been given xp for 4 kills... [/ooc]
"This thing isn't dead yet? tch, but I expect there are tougher things around than that." Moving around and looking for more threats, Pierce casts a spell that creates a shimmering pane of force that acts as a shield.
Pierce moves to (3,-2) and casts shield.

"Heh, don't worry, this is as far as I go without you guys. I'm just looking out, seeing if or when we'll get our next batch of baddies."
[ooc] I'm actually one of the safest ones right now, with my AC up to 21 ;D [/ooc]
Oh, and since I forgot before:
Spells Left: 0- 2/6, 1- 2/6

It would seem that I did forget to give you XP for that one. Add 300 to all of your totals. I think Jordan has already noted the 100XP for the killing blow on his tally.
