Okay, I'm tired of sitting around waiting, so let's get this ball rolling with who we have.
You have just reported in for your regular patrol duty. Though there is a sort of military structure to the tribes warbands, it is mostly a loose one, without a distinct ranking system. Those who have proven themselves capable leaders, or have shown significant prowess are placed above those who have not, or simply have yet to. You guys fall under the "have yet to" category.
Today you have been informed that a patrol has yet to check back in, but should have days ago. You guys were scheduled to do border patrol, so you would be passing the closest to their originally intended patrol zone, which was in the north-central part of the territory. You are to start your patrol at one end, circle around the edge to the middle, find them, then finish the sweep of the border on the way back. You can choose which side to start on.
So, what do you decide?

Shakkin shrugs: "Start wherever, just start and be done with it I say."

Chayduf steps forward and looks at the group. "We'll start from the west and move east, I say." Stretching his wings slightly he looks around at the group. "Any other opinions, or shall we move out? And make sure to keep your eyes peeled everyone." With that everyone within 30 feet feels as if their senses and reaction time have become keener, their sight and hearing slightly amplified, their thought processes coming just a bit quicker.

Saubwa Vaess sneaks as silent as a dire weasel, climbing nimbly over rubble and keeping his keen senses turned outward towards possible signs of danger. He stops every one hundred to two hundred feet for a moment to check for tracks, keeping his long nose close to the ground as he appears to be sniffing for foes. As a southpaw, he holds his bow in right hand, but being somewhat cautious in nature, his left hand is never far from the snot green quiver which holds his supply of broad-headed bone arrows.
[Unless noted otherwise, I am thirty feet infront of the party. I hide and move silently at all times, unless I note otherwise. I am careful to look for signs of passage, unusual tracks, or traps and pitfalls.]
[Hide Check is currently +21, Move Silently +13, Spot +11, Listen +11, Survival +9, Search +15. I will allow you to roll any needed checks that may come up to speed the game up. You don't need to let me know what you rolled either, just give me an RP description if anything interesting happens.]

Taking the lead of the main party, Zaun walks along nearly unnoticed because of his small stature. His translucent tail swings back and forth as he walks, about as long as he is tall. His eyes dart back and forth, and his claws flex in anticipation of any challenges to approach.

Staying close to somewhere in the midst of the party, Chayduf keeps his eyes and ears open, looking for any sign of trouble or of the lost ones. Mostly he keeps an eye on the group, making sure nothing untoward happens to any of them. They are, afterall, his charge....or so he tells himself.

You patrol close to the border of your territory mostly unhindered, seeing nothing but a few deer until you come to the old trade route that runs through the middle.
Saubwa notices that there are fresh tracks there, barely a day old, if that. Definitely humanoid, and with a cart.

Kneeling for a moment in the dirt to trace the outline of the track and to measure its depth, Saubwa attempts to decipher the creator of the tracks in his mind, a bit of saliva building at the corner of his mouth as he thinks.
These tracks made by someone wearing heavy armor? Or, maybe simply farmers taking a cart to market. Either way, they may have something tasty to eat. We should follow them, I should tell the others!
Saubwa waits for the party to bridge the distance to him, before he motions for them to come and look at what he has discovered. He shows them the tracks and the direction they were traveling before saying, "We should follow them tracks and see whose been trepassing on our land! Maybe they've got something tasty to eat, and if not maybe we can just eat them!"

Walking over, Zaun looks a bit disgusted by his near-feral companion. "More importantly, they may have something worth taking. Finding out who it is would be good."

Shakkin readies his heavy pick: "Sounds fantastic, lets get to it." and prepares to follow Saubwa as he follows the tracks.

You hustle down the old road, and eventually find a small camp of travellers, all of which that you can see are armed and armored.
you can give me some spot checks for distance, Hide/move silently if you want to ambush, or initiative if you just charge in.

"It will be the heat they feel today. The fog idea I like." The pyromaniac sets his sights on his prey and brings to mind the spells that will make this kill a sweet one.

The wild-like kobold chitters softly to himself, "They trespassin' on our land! We'll get'em and show the chief." The hunt arouses his primal senses as he slinks off around the edge of the camp eyeing his prey. He prepares to ambush them from a second direction after the main combat has engaged. He crawls and slithers as quietly as a fox between trees and over rotting logs. When he finds himself in position, he draws an arrow from the snot-green quiver on his back and awaits his companions attack.

"Fog works, when it rolls in, I'll attack." Shakkin attempts to hide and quietly move in alongside his allies.
