Shakkin seems a bit bitter about being so badly wounded, but then again, his temper is nothing new to anyone and the healing aura brings him back up to his usual self, he searches and loots the bodies, helping divvy up the loot amongst his fellows.

Perhaps I should get off my lazy butt and run this thing again.
You guys find coins adding up to 535 gold, and those using detect magic see that their swords and armor glow. Upon searching the cart, you find an assortment of weapons varying from swords, to polearms. five of them glow as well: a Heavy pick, two bastard swords, a heavy mace, and a short sword. The bastard swords are medium sized, the others happen to be small sized.

No leather armor, it's all plate.

Saubwa chitters rapidly and snatches one of the small-sized shortswords, giving it a quick swing to test the balance before slipping it awkwardly into his belt loop. He glances about for more further intruders into their lands as he waits for the others to grab their share.

Walking over to the loot pile he spies the nice looking heavy pick and grabs it in one claw, hefting it and nodding approvingly. Slipping it through the strap where his normal one usually hangs, he holds his against his shoulder, looking around for more danger. If none immediately brings itself to bear, he turns back to the rest of the group. "We should continue on patrol. This threat is ended." Gathering up his share of stuff to carry, he stuffs it into his pack or straps it to him for carrying back home, before readying himself to continue on patrol.

Seeing the others taking from the possessions of the dead, Zaun runs over, and quickly scoops up his gold, the bastard swords, and two suits of armor. "I'll take these." He then pulls out his hammock and starts wrapping up the armor (split into its component pieces), adding weapons taken from the dead, until he can't fit any more in. Then he starts dragging it along behind him.

Zavorast joins in the gathering of loot. He takes his share of the gold, a suit of armor and as many magical weapons he can until someone protests, even then making sure he has at least a fair share. With all blades and points wrapped and blunted, he places all of the items in the bag he has strapped to his side. When everyone has had a go at taking things, Zavorast fills his bag with what ever is left that he can carry.

Lowering his head inches from the ground, Saubwa moves his head from side to side, sniffing at the tracks from the direction in which these intruders came.
"Maybe deez men not alone and how come they had so many pointies?" He scrabbles along following their trail from the direction in which they came, turning to utter a gutteral bark at the rest of the party to follow him as he continues the patrol.

Okay, so you set off with what you've grabbed (and Dave has managed to do what we talked about IRL) and the only tracks you see are theirs. This will take you back out to your borders, from which point I will assume you resume your patrol.
Everyone give me spot checks.

Good enough.
As dawn passes and you look for a good spot to camp for the mid-day hours, you find a nice shaded grove that several patrols have camped at before. The scent of dead animal seems close, but not that strong. In a forest, this isn't all that strange, so you aren't alerted until you see where it's coming from. Upon closer inspection, you see severed limbs and hands along with splotches of gore amongst the underbrush, some still holding weapons. Most of the bodies are missing, however, and the trails of blood and ruffled foliage strongly imply that they were dragged off.

What race does it look like the limbs and hands belonged to? What kind of weapons were they still holding and do those weapons look like they may be of any value or have they rusted over? (Trying to get a sense of time for how long they've been lying there while checking their value)
[OOC] Sorry, been busy lately and Shakkin is being rather mopey, so my posts from him were limited. Sorry 'bout the spot check thing though, away from my dice, went home from college for the weekend. [/OOC]
