Introduces himself to Selterha as Quintis and explains shortly of his duties with the church of Lathander. He then takes a moment to digest what Irestil has said before replying,
"So, you mean to tell me I am in Waterdeep, but not the Waterdeep of which I am familiar? How odd, I may be in a spot more trouble than I had at first predicted."
He absent-mindedly adjusts the clasp on his cloak as he speaks, his head shifting from side to side as he debates within the recesses of his mind.
"What might the three of you be doing here in this Waterdeep that is not Waterdeep?"

Team Evil: Steelfire chucks one of the doors off its hinges... or attempts to. (you weren't around, so I rolled for you. You rolled a 10. Plus your strength doesn't beat what you needed to actually do that.) In reality, the door stays firmly in place, although it still looks as flimsy as ever. Feel free to shout at the thing anyway. Let me know.
Team Good: As you all are introducing yourselves one of the men that Irestil has been watching excuses himself from the other and gets up, making his way over towards your group. The man is currently wearing a chainshirt, with a longsword and a shield strapped to his back. His hair is tied back in a shoulder length ponytail and he is smiling as he approaches. "Greetings fellows. Sorry to interrupt." Looking straight at Quintis he nods. "Did I hear you say you follow the MorningLord as well? In what capacity if you don't mind my asking?"
Balkoth: You speak to the guard for a few minutes (Taken care of in IM) and then move into the building. Inside you find yourself in a rather smaller room than you expected with a young man sitting behind what seems to be a scribes desk. The rest of the walls of the room are lined with bookshelves filled with books. Looking up from his writing, the man smiles. "May I help you sir?"

(Was under the impression the doors were much more ramshackle, all the same, I just open one then, no biggie, proceed with shouting)
I get it now after some IM chat!!
Steelfire shouts the following message -before- his previous message, which he does shout: "Oh? A creature of chaos and shadow trembles behind his walls and in his ruined keep? Surely you have nothing to fear when Chaos may or may not protect you as it's will is fickle? Perhaps you should gamble more openly creature of chaos and try not to hide away behind walls, I thought you had no fear of me?!"

Grey mumbled to himself, "So much for stealth..." He follows suit and draws Lunar Edge. "Don't mind me if I vanish, Steelfire. I'll try to catch it unaware..." With that, he fades into the shadows.
[ hide: 11+24=35, move silent: 20+20=40. Remember, armor provides concealment vs darkvision (and only darkvision), boots prevent him from being located from scent. Also, he has the darkstalker feat. ]

(OOC:) Ok, I wish I could catch you online. But you haven't been. I apparently wasn't as clear as I thought I was. The doors do LOOK as ramshackle as you thought they were. Steelfire should have been able to flip them off and chuck them aside one handed. When he tried...they didn't budge. an inch. You try to push them open, they don't move. Sorry I wasn't clear before.(/ooc)

Team Evil: Suddenly the doors fly open, hanging awkwardly from the hinges that don't seem to attach them to the wall, almost as if the doors themselves were merely attached to something invisible that was then hinged and attached to the wall. A booming voice can be heard coming from inside the courtyard. "I'm not sure what you are or who you came from, and you are one sad example of a messenger Golem....someone must be paranoid... Regardless, speak your message whatever it may be and be gone with you. I have more important matters to tend to." The voice is obviously human, male, and obviously magically enhanced, sounding nothing like the shades
(Spot check DC 15) and coming from a human sized blue mouth floating in the middle of the courtyard.
Spot checks from both of you for other things.

Steelfire shakes his head and audibly sighs out: "I hate this accursed amalgam of planes..."
He keeps his sword out and in front of him as he takes a tentative step forward, seeing if it is open or not. "Voice, identify yourself, I'm in a foul mood and it grows ever worse the more I must deal with the shifting nonsense of this place, the last time I was here it was ruled by a chaos worshiping shade, now I find a different voice here. So in the name of Lord Deimos of Waterdeep and Steelfire, Lord of Blades of the Mournlands of Eberron, I ask whether or not you wish to join forces as a prospective ally. I warn you, my patience has been repeatedly tried as of late and I've come to the conclusion that all those who deny the offer of an alliance shall be put to the sword. So I say again, identify and discuss this with me so this needn't result in bloodshed, and if your important matters are something I may aid you in, then it may be in your best interest to speak with me if for nothing else than mutual gain. Refuse to speak with me and those important matters of yours may well find themselves interrupted all the same."
Steelfire leaves Terminus out this whole team and it seems like he truly has become irritated by the completely stubborn nature of seemingly every creature and being on this 'combination' of planes.

Kethen looks back and forth between the stranger and Quintis, with a slightly confused look on his face. Irestil however stays steadily set, watching the man from the gate.
[ooc] nudge: I believe we are waiting for how Quintis replies to the man that just approached us. If you prefer, Kethen would have replied: "we are explorers" to the question regarding our being in Waterdeep.

Quintis turns his attentions towards the man approaching their table. He studies him for a moment before replying,
"I have many duties within the church of Lathander. I am known both as a Morninglord and a Radiant Servant, although as of late I have spent a great deal of time traveling the trade roads to perform services for the faithful. Are you in need of something that I could assist you with?"
He seems glad to see another follower of Lathander, and eager to help the man should he need it.

Team Good:
"No, I dont need anything inparticular. I just haven't encountered many followers of the Morning Lord around here since the world shifting, so I thought I would acquant myself with those I found." With a nod of his head, the man is suddenly standing in gleaming armor, a tower shield on his left arm intricately engraved with the holy symbol of Lathandar. Over his right shoulder the handle of a beautiful cold iron longsword can be seen with a pommel jewel carved into the symblance of the rising sun of Lathandar. On the chest of his armor is yet another rising sun of Lathandar, its golden rays shining down resplendantly on a city which many may recognize as an artists rendition of Silverymoon. In the shadows of the city cast by the sun, engravings of men can be seen standing between the city and a shapeless mass of eyes in the shadows. Quintis (And anyone else from Faerun may make a knowledge religion check 25) recognizes this as the symbol of the Third regiment of the Knights of Silver (Who, in recent times, are mostly made up of worshipers of Lathandar). More commonly known as the Gray guards, or The Shadows of the Light.
"My name is Lt. Lameth Kaver, Third Regiment, Knights of Silver. My pleasure to meet another who follows the light of our Lord."
Team Evil:
As Steelfire calls this out the blue shape begins to grow larger, from a mouth, to a head, which grows a torso and arms, and then legs finally finishing out to a roughly medium sized humanoid male wearing robes with the hood down and his hair back and down past his shoulders. "You want... To ally? With me? Your master is either incredibly mad, incredibly misinformed, or a brilliant genius. I can't say I've had anyone approach me for YEARS, well beyond the odd straggler...not since that incident where we blew up the whole farm.... left quite a nasty crater that... really confirmed the name of the Harpells.... But at least I got out to carry on the name, however smudged. But I mean even once people realized I survived, they cordoned off a five mile radius of this place and almost no one comes near here..." Seemingly snapping back from his rant he looks over at you. "So... now what were you here for again?" The man says with a slightly confused look on his face.

Steelfire angrily folds his arms and repeats: "I am here for you to decide whether you wish to ally with me and my associate Lord Deimos of Waterdeep, I myself answer to no one save the former Lord of Blades should he have survived the merging of planes. Should he have not, then I ascend to his place as the Lord of Blades. I am Steelfire, you have identified as Harpells... tell me Harpells, do you wish an alliance in bringing order to this motley mash of planes? This chaotic state of affairs is intolerable and the weak need guidance from firm hands." Steelfire seems to be frustrated at having to repeat all the information he already spoke of, but he does so all the same. His offer before of helping with an errand or goal in order to 'buy' the alliance still seems intact, though the wizard can expect the terms to have gotten slightly steeper in response to the nonchalant and scatterbrained antics so far.

[ooc] Ok. So I haven't been around, haven't posted in this, and in general haven't kept up with my own game recently. Yes I know I told you I'd have a post James, and that was what 2 weeks ago? My apologies. Really. I've had some shit going on IRL the past couple of weeks and really haven't been around. As such, I haven't really had time to sit down and keep up with my own game. Because of this I'm going to put this game on actual hold (So that you all don't wonder where I am) until things settle down for me. Sorry for the inconvenience, and sorry for not notifying you all earlier. [/ooc]

Team Good: As the man, now identified as Lt. Kaver, finishes speaking a loud commotion can be heard outside the Inn. Several people get up to see whats it is about. Lt. Kaver seems to listen intently for a moment before shaking his head. "Sorry gentlemen, I must be going. Sounds like there is something going on outside the walls...and it doesn't sound good." Turning he jogs quickly out the door, calling behind him. "Come on Livio, we've got work it seems!" And with that his companion, whom at first had seemed to disappear from his original spot now that you look, appears from somewhere in the bar and walks (Albeit at a decent pace) out of the bar mumbling under his breath.
Team Evil: The blue person in the middle of the courtyard, from which the sounds of the man's voice seems to resonate, suddenly seems to decapitate itself, the body still standing while the head floats closer to you rather rapidly, spinning circles around you as if getting a good look. "Hmmm you aren't just a Golem are you? Interesting specimen. Aren't anymore of you I could study is there? Seems rather brilliant to give a Golem free will....or rather stupid.. Sounds like something Gregory would have done. I mean, after all, that one marshmallow golem he made was rather genious in some respects..but rather tasty I might add..." Stopping the mouth closes for a second and the eyes blink rather rapidly. "Sorry.. I do ramble on don't I. Did you say something about the Planes merging?" As he says this a large cracking sound can be heard off in the distance, as if the largest whip you've ever heard was suddenly used by an enormous being and made to crack. You can't really see anything through the wall in that direction but suddenly the voice gets very quiet. "Oh... this isn't good.. not good at all." And then the entire being suddenly blinks out of existance. Around you the plants suddenly stand up and move, taking the shape of various animals and things as if carved by a master of Topiary art. These plant being move to the entrance to the inner keep and stand guard, spreading out into a semi-circle defensively. The largest of the plant beings, what seems to be a Balor made out of a giant bush, stands directly in front of the door, blocking the entire entrance.
[ooc] And I reopen my game. I am sorry it has taken me so long. My apologies. But now let the game recommense![/ooc]

Perhaps I can finally learn a bit more about what is truly going on here.
"I shall assist you lieutenant, perhaps there are wounded I could attend to."
Quintis quickly climbs out of his seat, grabbing for his shield and heavy mace which he had laid next to himself before beginning the conversation with the others. His lavander robes flow behind him as he strides from the common room behind Lt. Kaver, mace and shield in hand.

[You need more to move the game along foo, as it stands you have basically given us one-sentence posts to make. Assume we do it if it's the only option given!]
Steelfire peers to see if he can get a look at what's coming that activated the guards. He also takes a quick glance at the structural integrity of the walls of the keep, intent on moving up a wall and fighting from there if it seems to be a good idea.
