[ooc] My bad... I really need to get myself back on my ADD meds. My lack of concentration isn't doing me any good anymore. [/ooc]
Grey's grin only grew wider. He had two creatures in the darkness that aren't smart enough to run out of the rogue's playing field. It might take a bit, but the half-drow had this covered. All it took was stabbing them until they're dead. He was tempted to just walk out of the darkness and see what they would do, but instead he figured it would be better to just kill one of them first. So he did.
[ Grey continues his assault on the injured beastman. 12+16 = 28 to hit (in which it's denied it's DEX) 2+22+8=32 damage ]

Steelfire, seeing the body still shaking lets out what passes for a mechanical sigh and then, feeling rather uneasy about the way the beastmen died, draws Terminus and makes a round stabbing each of the bodies (beastmen, then wolves, then myrddraal) once squarely in the head with a swift and brutal coup de grace to put his mind at rest about whether or not they are all truly dead. Afterwards, he leaves the sword out and waits a safe distance from the darkness, watching for it to wear off or on guard for anything that might charge out.
He also occasionally glances around in case anything else might come from another direction.
Readied action to full-attack anything that comes out of the darkness at him. This is, of course, after looting the bodies completely (despite the Myrddraal's death throes, that might bother a fleshling, but Steelfire has no qualms stripping the gear off something still twitching and dying.)

Team Good: Balkoth.. leaves? Selterha brings back drinks i guess? People drink? I dunno. Whats going on with you guys?
Team Evil: The Hound that Grey stabbed for the second time drops to the ground unconscious. The other hound....doesn't seem to be there anymore. As if it vanished into thin air. It neither walked out of the darkness nor can be seen or heard inside the darkness. Consider yourselves out of initiative for now. Grey is still inside the Darkness. Steelfire is still standing outside readied to rip apart anything that comes towards him in a threatening manner.

Selterha strides over to the bar's owner, smiling. "Greetings, ma'am. My name is Selterha, and whilst speaking with your daughter, she pointed me your way. This may seem bold of me, but I notice you have no entertainment for your patrons. I have some talents in this sort of matter. Might you find my services amenable?" He bows ever so slightly as he introduces himself.

"I am going to look for information on whether this is the Waterdeep I know or if there are any differences. I am also going to try and find out if anyone here knows anything more about this phenomenon in which we have been caught." He waits a few moments before leaving and heading off to the city hall to look for current records. He keeps his eyes open and takes note of anything that would aid in his information gathering or anything that stands out more than normal.

Irestil nods at Balkoth's explanation. "Yes I understand then, but I'm not from your world, so I do not believe I could be of much help. Perhaps I will help in finding more information on this anomaly tomorrow, but for now I will relax. Don't stay out too late..."

Team Good: I'll get a post up for you guys tomorrow afternoon. Im just throwing something up real quick before I go to bed to maybe get max to post.
Team Evil: The darkness Disapates. Inside the darkness Grey is standing over the body of a single Darkhound, blood dripping from his sword, and looking rather battered himself. It is still initiative, and is therefore Max's turn. Post Max, whether you just talk or what. lol.

[ooc] Sorry for being late. [/ooc]
Grey looked around once the darkness faded. So the other did disappear. Very unusual... I didn't see it cast anything or even move. Did something pull it out? Then he noticed the scattered dead bodies by the metal monstrosity. "Well then... Looks like I owe you a favor, big guy." He quickly cleaned his blade and sheathed it, but paranoia keep him ready to fight. "I am Grey, Shadowlord of Telfammar. You are?" I don't think I can take that thing myself... Better hope I can talk my way out or run like hell...

"Until I find my Creator and Master, I must assume he is dead, and therefore... I am Steelfire, Lord of Blades of the Mournlands of Eberron, I am currently the ally of Lord Deimos of Waterdeep. Now..." Steelfire advances slowly and without sheathing his sword, holding the large and wicked greatsword in one hand one with alarming ease.
"Do tell why you stood there and allowed the monsters to beat upon you, then explain why you allowed one to escape... and do pray to your fleshling gods that your reasons placate my wrath as I assure you, your multitude of failures are steadily convincing me your equipment is of more worth than you are. If you feel this to be threatening, I will point out that it is only by fortunate chance that you still live at this point, my desire to carve the flesh of you fleshlings has been satiated for the moment. So, do tell what fleshbound fighting style involves allowing two enemies to maul you repeatedly and then letting one escape?" Steelfire waits impatiently and he seems very ready for combat still.

Grey stands he ground as the warforged advanced. "It's called 'endurance'. I've training myself to deal with the pain of being damaged. So far, I think I'm doing pretty good. I mean, it really didn't hurt that much. As for the one that escaped..." The half-drow looked where the two monsters had been standing during their bout in the darkness. "Something must have pulled it out through magic. I didn't see it move at all, so it couldn't have cast a spell or run away. It just vanished."
[Grey is bluffing: 15+12=27. Readied action to cast Dim Door if Steelfire starts moving faster, teleporting as far from Steelfire as possible towards any possible hiding location. ]

Steelfire seems to believe you... for what it's worth.
"Admirable though it may be to train yourself to not feel pain, to demonstrate it regularly is quite foolish, refrain from doing so if you wish to work un-... ... ...with me. Now, we are going, you need to rest and if we try to do so here, the one that escaped may return with friends. Also, I wish to discuss something with my partner." With that, Steelfire turns and marches in the direction of Waterdeep, greatsword still drawn and repairing himself any time Grey stops to rest.

Grey nodded. "Agreed. I do not like the training much, anyways." So I'm its underling for the time being? Well, if it gets me money, it may be worth it. And if this goes bad, I can ditch without a problem. "So, where are we going?" As they walked, the half-drow downed a potion of cure light, healing his wounds somewhat. If the trek back takes more than a day, Grey only rests during the night and keeps his sleep light.

Edit: As a note. I apologize to everyone for my lack of comittment to my game. It has been hard to keep myself interested in it when I only seem to see James interested in posting (Yes James, thank you for the interest. I truly appreciated it. I'm sorry especially to you for taking so long to post). Quite frankly I'd gotten the impression no else was finding it interesting (From the lack of posting by anyone when i did post) Apparently I was wrong, and was just not giving people enough to go on, and I apologize. I will try to be better about posting from now on.
Team Evil: You both get back to Waterdeep after a rather uneventfull 2 days or so of travel. You are both fully healed. I assume you remember how to reach the Lord, so should you wish? If so you get there with no problems, and can start your post at any point you wish, skipping straight to your entrance to his room if you wish. Anything else you need to know please let me know.
Team Good:
Selterha: "Oh, an entertainer? We'd love to have you. What kind of entertainment do you perform?" As she talks she continues wiping down the bar idly, her eyes never leaving yours, a small smile playing across her lips. "And how much is your fee?"
Balkoth: You leave the tavern and make your way around town towards the records hall, which you know to be in one of the minor lords towers. On your way you notice many odd things. Among them are the following, in order. Let me know if you investigate anything further.
1) A short ways down the street right after leaving you notice the two men from the front gate (The ones who had brought the man in to collect the bounty) walking along the street, talking about getting an ale. You can assume they are headed to the Swallow's Dive (the inn you just left) As it seems to be the only tavern on the block.
2) As you walk the streets you occassionally notice men in black cloaks with red crown emblems emblazoned on the backs. These men are given wide berths, and walk the crowded streets as if a bubble surrounded them almost, the fear of them the people have seems to be that strong.
3) Many buildings are under construction, and now that you are actually looking, you realize that the walls are more fortified and the guard contingent seems heavier than you are used to.
4) For the Jewel of a city that Waterdeep is known for being, you pass a good many smithies, the black smoke from their forges clouding the sky across the city. Occassionally the smoke is a different color, most often green when it isn't black. You can assume these are mage aided forges.
Nothing else of particular note catches your eye, beyond the normal hubub of the city, and of course many a pretty girl out shopping. Assuming you dont deter from your route you will make it to the tower of records with no problems. Out front a guard stands, crossing his pike over the door as you approach. "Halt citizen. State your business." He says in a business like way.
Irestil and Kethen: Both sit and drink their drinks. They also notice the two men from the city gates earlier enter the tavern, chatting amongst themselves, and seat themselves near the door, ordering a few ales. Other than that nothing of real interest happens at the tavern as of right this moment.

Steelfire sends a message through a reliable individual (preferably the sword wielder whom he met before) to the Lord he met with before (the contents of which will be included in a PM), and after that, sells off the gear acquired from the outing (splitting it with Grey), and awaits a reply to the message he sent. If no reply is heard after a day and a half in town, (exactly 36 hours) Steelfire sets out once more (presumably with Grey in tow) towards the ruins to the north he had ventured to once before.
[OOC]If you wanna talk at all or do townstuff, go ahead Max, also, you can IM me and talk there if you like and I'll do some rp with you and send it to Nick[/OOC]
