Mathias walks over to Leon and, after intoning last rites on the two dead giants (which he ensures are dead with a swift blow from his hammer to their heads), slaps Leon across the back of the head lightly, dealing no damage but healing 20 with his lay on hands ability. "Be more careful Leon, these are merely grunts of the enemy, we must conserve our power as best we can... don't you always call the enemy leaders their bosses? It'd be best if you be careful of your health... especially if you don't plan on eating any of that magic turkey of yours this time around." Leon smiles at his friend and looks to the others: "Who is going to be in charge of searching these creatures and relieving them of their items for our own sale and use? The dead have no use for such things, and the evil deserve them not."
Mathias waits for a decision, if none is reached, he searches the corpses for items and relieves the dead of them, carefully noting each item found for later sale and distribution... fairly.

"Ha! Someone has to guard the flanks while you all smash the others to tiny bits. And not all of us wear such nice, bulky, shiny armor to take all our blows for us. But I'll take it under advice... I am rather sick of the bloody turkey." Standing up straight, his left shoulder still dragging slightly but the wheeze of his broken ribs gone, he smiles. "Besides, I've got plenty of energy to get through that castle. Have you ever seen a Belmont run out of Heart with which to fight?" Smiling at his friend Mathias he nods his thanks and looks to the giants. "You loot them Mathias, you know how bad I am about keeping track of multiple items... I always seem to end up dropping one or something when I pick up others..."

Quickly and smoothly sheathing his blades, Devin steps away from the rapidly cooling corpse. "I'll look after anything on these bodies while everyone else tends their wounds. It won't take long." Search: 20+12=32 I put everything found (that isn't huge) into a sack, then carry it over to the group.

Searching the bodies doesn't reveal a whole lot. They did have their large great clubs (which seem to be hand-made out of trees) they were beating the shit out of Leon, but other than that, there wasn't anything short of tattered clothes. It's not until very close inspection does one (in this case, Devin) find anything of interest. Each dusk giant had a rather plain pin stuck in their flesh on their backs. It looked like somebody had just stabbed them into the giants' backs. Detect Magic reveals a tiny aura of divination, but no other information is gleaned from simple investigation.
When you all finish your healing/resting/whatever and continue down the path, you finally come across Castle Einnashe's front gate. Giant, massive, and likely very heavy metal doors stand before you. A simple inspection shows that the gate is not locked, but it does take a good amount of strength to open it (a simple task if a few of you push it open). From what you can tell, there are no other entrances to the castle.
At this point, I grant you all a free Respec. This means you can change your character in just about any way you wish at this point, for whatever reason. You may spend this Respec now before entering the castle, or at any point while you are in town. If you do Respec, please notify me ASAP, and tell me the changes, along with noting all changes on your character sheet here on the forums.
[ooc] Sorry about the delay. Life sucked for a while, but things are getting back in order again. With a little luck, I can keep things going correctly. [/ooc]

I point out the divination pins, but don't take them. I suggest to the others not to take them, but will not stop anyone who does.

After clearing things up a bit, Tobias spontaneously casts Cure Serious Wounds on Leon healing him 32 hit points...
and a minute later he dismisses the Hell Hound, having kept it around just in case the giants had friends...
If it acts up earlier than that, he dismisses it then and there.

Mathias pushes Leon up to the gate... pauses... and shrugs: "Oh well, usually the big heavy gates open for you. I still don't know why 9 out of 10 unholy creatures want to welcome you in particular to their lair." With that, Mathias chuckles and starts to push at the gate to open it.

The door opens with a massive heave. Once it starts to open, the doors seems to open further on its own. This reveals a well lit long hallway, furnished with torches and a red carpet down the center. At the end of the hallway is a door. As you walk down the hallway, you notice a few corpses littered about, all of them stripped of their equipment.
Devin and co. will remember this room easily enough. There were no traps last time you were here, and you suspect there wouldn't be any this time. Although it never hurts to be a little paranoid.

Walking in first, to take the lead, Devin sets his plan, "Time for a castle exploration formation. I'm lead, to find traps. Mathias, just behind, to back me up. Leon next, to best utilize his weapon's reach. Then Tobias and Juno, in the protected area. Corvinus, then Renard to pull up the rear. Spread out when we enter rooms, but do not tread far from the group, or linger behind. Re-form for hallways and smaller areas. In wider passages, I will tread next to Mathias, just as Tobias and Juno should be side-by-side. Corvinus and Renard may move single or double file, as they see fit." Devin looks over his shoulder to the others, "Understood?"

Tobias nods in understanding. Not that he believes he needs protection, but he does seem to be the only one capable of casting healing spells.

Shaking his head at Mathias pranks, and nodding his thanks to Tobias; after stretching out his newly healed muscles, ignoring the slight twinges still in them; He silently takes his place in the formation, his hand on his whip, eyes tracking from side to side constantly scanning his surroundings.

Mathias opens the damn door already.
Move your game Max. Seriously. Enough slacker'age. You're already a level 99 Slacker. You can't gain more exp in the Slacker class. You've become an epic level Slacker that sleeps in a Prismatic Dragon's special place. That's enough. (I'ma get banned ;D lol)

As the paladin opened the door, jaws likely dropped at the sight. Many of you thought you were through with the forest and now finally within the castle, but what stood before you just denied that belief. More woods were before you, a forking path leading the way in two different directions (left and right). You can see the castle is not far, maybe a mile or so away. A crimson moon looms overhead, as if bearing witness to your finally beginning quest.
