Init: 14+4 = 18

Depending on the size of the path, Leon is probably 5 feet back from Devin and 5 feet off to the side. If the path is only wide enough for single file, then I will be directly behind Corvinus.
Initiative: 15+3=18
Also keep in mind, because of my stance, any ally who starts a charge attack within 60 feet of me will get +6 Damage, until I change stances.

Init: 11 + 3 = 14. But I am also surprised...
In the middle, so I assume between Juno and Leon.

Init: 17+2=19 and Juno would probibly be dead center (since I am the center of attention).

So, it looks like marching order is (right is front)...
************************Corvinus Mathias - Tobias - Juno - Renard - | - Devin *************************Leon
Dashes and lines indicate five feet.
Formatting sucks.

[ooc] It's like an arrow... And thank you Sean. [/ooc]
Combat, start.
Initative is as follows: Juno Leon/Corvinus (whoever's got better DEX) Tobias Devin/Renard (again, whoever's got better DEX) Mathias Monsters!
The monsters seem to be similar to trolls at first glance, but you're not sure.
Knowledge Nature DC 24 to know that these are actually Dusk Giants.
The creatures are currently 25 feet away, one to the left (Corvinus's side) and one to the right (Leon's side).
Chrissy, your turn.
[ooc] Sorry for the lameness of this post. I would have made it better, had I been at home instead of at class at the moment, where I have all my books. [/ooc]

[ooc] Because of Chrissy's lack of internet at the moment, I shall post her actions myself. Also, I forgot to mention that these dusk giants are large sized, and are carrying rather large great clubs that seem to be fashioned out of trees. [/ooc]
Juno begins singing a song of courage, inspiring her comrades to fight better.
[summary: Juno uses Inspire Courage, which gives a +1 to attack rolls and damage rolls, and a +1 to saves vs fear effects ]

Turning to his right, towards the nearest monster, he quickly snaps his whip from his side, flipping it out to his right as he suddenly rushes forward, lancing the whip through the air cracking it out at the end straight for the creature, putting quite a bit of weight behind it.
Corvinus actually goes first I believe, but I had a free minute and wanted to post my actions. And Nate, dont forget the +6 to damage if you charge the thing.
19+15+2 (charging)-5(power attack)+1(Song)=32 to Hit.
If hits: 1d6+6(str+magic)+5 (PA)+6(Stance)+2d6(If Evil)+1d6 Sneak attack+1(Song) (if they are still considered flat footed, as they haven't actually gone yet. up to DM, as I dont know how things went down exactly, didnt get a clear picture)=6+17+(3+4)7+5+1= 36 Damage.

DM Hijack - I'm sorry Nate, but I did mention earlier when I had you all roll for Init that you and Sean are surprised and thus cannot act during the surprise round. I'm sorry that I wasn't clear enough, but I have to uphold what I have said.
The dragon hilted katana jumps into Corvinus' hand as he takes off toward the closest giant. His blade is held low and he is running on the balls of his feet with his weight leaning in. When he gets to the giant he moves to the right and brings his sword up with both hands to the inside of the giants right leg. If his swords hits it should cut deep into the femoral artery.
[ooc] Knowledge Nature 16+8=24 Lesser Crystal of Return to draw my sword, and shift into giant killing style Ruby Nightmare Blade Concentration 16+16=32 vs. foe's AC To hit: 15+13+2(stance)+1(song)-4(power attack)=27 Damage:7(roll)+6(strx1.5)+1(magic)+1(song)+4(stance) +4(insightful strike)+6(power attack)=29x2 with successful Concentration =58

Tobias turns to the Giant that stands alone (none within even whip range), and begins casting a spell.
summon monster III metamagic: rapid spell
[ooc: spell] I don't know exactly the rules on this one, but if people want to make spellcraft checks on my spell, you may notice that I am casting this spell with the [evil] descriptor. This is entirely based on DM interpretation as it is not blatantly stated in any rules to my knowledge[/ooc]
A Hell Hound appears on the far side of the giant accompanied by a cloud of smoke (Cloudy Conjuration) [Fort Save I believe].
In Infernal: "Destroy the large folk, they bother me, leave these fools alone." And he motions to the rest of the party.
Deceptive Summons: Bluff: 9+22 = 31 (Which I believe the Hell Hound cannot beat, therefore the spell is Extended)
Hell Hound: Uses its breath weapon (1+4 = 5 rounds before it can use it again) 5+4 = 9 damage Reflex DC 15 for half. (DC is boosted by 2 due to the Augmented Summoning which adds 4 to Strength and Constitution of the summoned creature.)
[ooc:] I believe that is all by the book, I am not at my own computer at the moment so I don't remember the precise effects of the Cloudy Conjuration, it may just auto make people nauseated... Its in Complete Mage, I will update later if DM intervention has not already done so...[/ooc]
Edit by nick: Cloudy Conjuration will make the Giant Sickened as long as it stays in it, or until Bens next turn. Whichever comes first. The sickened effect will end as soon as the Giant leaves the cloud. Its a 5 foot square cloud.. acts like a mini Fog Cloud.
Edit back by Ben: Actually I believe that it is a 5 ft. radius cloud, otherwise it would be completely useless...
Edit by Nick: ok, so excuse me for missing the word 'radius' at 1 Am in the bloody morning. Thats what I get for helping you out I guess. -shakes his head-

[ooc] I await Dave's post at this point. Nate, again, I'm sorry but you were surprised. As for the state of the giants, they are not flatfooted as they started combat. [/ooc]
Results thus far: Leon has charged and smacked the giant with success with his whip. Tobias successfully summons his hell hound and commands it to attack, dealing little damage. More colorful text to be added when I'm not brain dead during class.

[ooc] Sry about the delay. [/ooc]
Devin assesses the situation and charges forward. Heading to the giant creature that is further from everyone (a.k.a. not the one getting whipped), Devin plunges his blade into its body, hoping to strike past the thick hide into the meaty interior.
Using Death Mark. (its a 20ft radius, so the blast will hit both of 'em and not the party - the hellhound is immune, 'cause its fire). Attack -> nat 20 Confirm -> 10+10=20 Damage: they're flat-footed, so sneak attack is in here. 1d4(3)+8=11 crit:1d4(3)+8=11 Sneak:4d6(14) so the total is: 34
The blast does: 6d6(19) fire damage to both of the giants, DC 16 Reflex for half

Mathias advances on the left Giant, not charging, but slowly moving into range to attack as he mutters prayers under his breath.
Mathias takes a move or two to get into range with the giant on the left.

[ooc] I appologize for the confusing nature of my discription of the battle formation. Short version, one to the left of the party, one to the right. They're trying to flank you all. Not quite working since you charged them before they could close in, but they're far tougher than you might have imagined. I have created a diagram for ease, taking in what I believe was everyone's actions. That will be uploaded once Photobucket stops sucking so much. Oh, sorry Nick, but you got hit hard dude... It's what you get for taking point against things with really big clubs lol [/ooc] The giant on the right (on Leon) takes a 5ft step towards the lasher and unleashes a one-two swing with its massive tree trunk of a club, screaming loudly. Both swings connect painfully upon the human. The giant on the left, shaking off the pain from the fire, attempts to bring it club down upon Devin, but the phantom nature of the Diabolus results in wasted motion. It too screams loudly, but in frustration. Results of the round! Damage was done to the giants. Everyone's attacks has hit thus far. They are pissed, but show no signs of falling yet. Left Giant made the reflex vs the hellhound's attack, but failed vs Devin's Death Mark. Leon takes a crap ton of damage as he's hit both times with a large greatclub, taking a massive 100 damage between the two swings.
Beginning round 2 - Corvinus and Renard are no longer standing there twiddling their thumbs and can act from here on out.

(OOC: I realize Juno and Corvinus go before me, but This is something that happens when the creature attacks me.)
Taking the first hit across the shoulders, Leon realizes just how much trouble he might be in. Pulling his whip back he weaves it quickly around using it as part distraction, part deflection for the creatures second attack.
Activates Wall of Blades (Second level Maneuver (Counter) Immediate Action): Replaces his AC with an attack roll for one attack only. 18+10+1(song)=29. Not sure if that makes him miss or what. let me know so I know How much damage I took.
