Dergon grabs a bench or otherwise comfortable spot and sits down to enjoy the spat. In addition to the entertainment, Dergon watches the people coming and going for a little bit, not hesitating to stare or listen to conversations.
[ooc] Sides of what? How many new students (a crowd or two people)? Actual heated tempers or just friendly competition/showboating? [/ooc]

Shrugging off the wave of sound, he begins looking around at the sudden lack of amusement, Sabatto frowns and looks down sadly at the unlit Tindertwig in his hand. After a moment he shrugs though, and with a flourish stows the Tindertwig in his pouch, turning the motion into a deep bow as noise erupts around the entire arena, as if a large group of people started applauding in unison, stomping feet and hooting and hollering. "Thank you! Thank you! Sametimetomorroweveryonewelovetoplease!" Throwing a wink at Dergon, Sabatto runs out of the room, chuckling, as the noise continues in his absence for a good 20-25 seconds.
Moving back to the dorm building, not really paying too much attention to the goings on of the other students, he hurries up the stairs to their dorm, skittering inside and grabbing one of the guide books (making sure that it is a full one), and moves into his room... almost slipping on the paper inside. Frowning he bends over to pick it up and can be seen opening it as the door closes behind him......
....and then suddenly bursts open again, slamming closed behind a quick running little gnome. "Moneyfundsmoneyfundsmoneyfundsmoneyfunds! TIMETOGETTOWORKFUN!!" Leaping the last couple of stairs, he seems to trip over his robes during his landing and ends up sitting at the foot of the steps, rubbing his head and looking at an open book in his lap -how it ended up opened to the page with a map of the school during the fall, we're not sure anyone will ever know-. As the dust settles around him, he stabs a finger down at the map. "AHA!!" and jumps up off the ground, the book disappearing into his robes, as he runs off.
After getting lost several times, and having to consult his book again, he finally finds what he was looking for. The place labeled 'Student Repository'. Walking up to the teller (Assuming there is a person there), he asks for a pricing list for supplies, trying to decide how much things will cost him here at the 'student repository' after getting a good idea of the cost of things at the school, he will then pull out 489 gold, 100 silver, and 100 copper (500 gold total), and make his way out into town (Assuming that it is still light enough that shops and things would be open in town.
He will order a few supplies, and then make his way back to his room, slightly disappointed, but still happy to have supplies to work on things now.
He then spends the rest of the afternoon/evening sequestered in his room, the scribbling of writing quite evident to anyone that attempts to listen at his door.
[ooc] Mesevan, how do you want to carry out conversations with shopkeepers in town? Here in the game, or via PM? Also, let me know if we are getting any discount on supplies for crafting and what not through the School, or if they are at base price, please.[/ooc]

Joe: Listening to the conversations, it appears that the two groups are trying to gain the support of new students as there is a bit of bad blood between the two groups. The students that stick around number 8-10, but few commit due to the aggressive nature of the recruiters.
Cadic: The repository only gives you materials to work with, not cash money. If you want to do a solo bit, PMs will work. There is no discount, just that you get direct materials instead of currency.

Andrezi glances quickly back when he feels Ingrid's hand on his shoulder, but at least at first he can't hear anything she says. After the priest's healing, the cat in his arms perks up shaking her head and mewing softly.
"Stala neithal Neila, issic tala nai?" Andrezi speaks softly in a strange language. "Tala nal, Ander", the cat speaks back in kind with a soft feminine voice. She stretches in Andrezi's arms and glances over his shoulder at Ingrid, "di kan bela teil."
"Her name is Neila, and she should be alright, that shout took a lot out of both of us." Andrezi gives her a quick squeeze as he looks over at Ingrid. He takes off his glasses and wipes his face before putting them back on. "That man, your.. father? called you Ingrid, right? I'm Andrezi, Andrezi Torizeus." He smiles meekly, getting over the bit of trauma.

Ingrid blushes, pushes her glasses up her nose, and extends her left hand. "I'm Ingrid. Ingrid Halvor." She still speaks very softly and with a touch of a northern accent, "I'm glad she's ok." Ingrid looks around, briefly observing everyone going their own ways and the rowdy upperclassmen outside. "Maybe... we should walk back together?" she asks shyly, blushing again.

The elven man holds his head until the ringing subsides and blinking, looks around. He waits until the other elf is finished talking and slowly begins to follow everyone out in the direction of the hole men. Once he hears and sees the wizard with the hurt cat he stops by the holy men in hopes that all will be healed. Once with his suspicions correct, he heads out back to the dorms. As he passes by the students fighting over faction he stops briefly and smirks. He makes his way to the dorm and looks for the manual mentioned earlier. With that in hand he makes his way to his room leaving the door open as he reads a letter.

Andrezi takes Ingrid's hand, "nice to meet you Ingrid." He lets Neila down and she brushes up against him and then stands by his side.
At the mention of the walk back to the dorm, Andrezi looks around as well and slowly nods. "Alright," and nonchalantly takes Ingrid's hand again to walk back to the dorm. Neila follows behind, staying close to Andrezi.
While walking, Andrezi starts asking questions casually, "so where are you from?"

Ingrid seems rather startled that Andrezi holds her hand as they walk, but she does not retract her fingers from his grip. She pushes her glasses up nervously, falling into step with him.
"Well, my parents are from the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, but Numeria is the only home I've ever known. They've lived there ever since Mother..." Ingrid hesitates, drops her gaze to the ground just in front of her and continues, "well... ever since I was born. Once they leave here I think they plan to journey back to the Realm of the Mammoth Lords. What about you? Where are you from?" She asks, turning inquisitive green eyes on Andrezi.

Ricneiros sways suddenly when hit with the sonic shout spell, a trickle of blood welling up inside his left ear. He staggers forward and seems unable to take action for the rest of the test. When the fight is over, he is the first to push his way over to the healers to have his wounds looked at. He complains the entire time about how horrible his injuries are, although he is not hurt that badly.
Upon exiting onto the school grounds, he takes a keen interest in the Chelaxian recruiters. He will pull one of them over to the side and begin asking questions about what they would have him do.

Dergon laughs when he sees the rich kid immediately begin rushing frats. Dergon heads out into the city to make some money with his evening off. Dergon keeps an eye/ear out for other interesting stuff that might be going on. He also will attempt to bring a girl back for the evening, if the night goes uneventfully.

Andrezi doesn't seem to understand any reason for Ingrid to be startled, so he casually ignores it. He listens intently to Ingrid's short tale of her parents' origin followed by their stay in Numeria, although the idea of moving there seems to confuse him.
"I'm from Sinaria which is part of Ustalav," Andrezi seems to be very matter-of-fact about his homeland. "This is my first time away from home too, but my family moved around a fair amount so I think I'll be alright."
When he sees the large group of students arguing and shouting for support he seems to tense up a bit. He squeezes Ingrid's hand a bit as he watches the group, cautiously making sure nothing dangerous comes from that direction.
Once they have passed the group he relaxes again and resumes the conversation, "Nana Iozala says that there are strange and dangerous things in Numeria, sometimes worse than the hordes that lurk in the wastes of the north..."
Andrezi trails off, realizing that he doesn't really like the topic he started babbling about. He decides to change the subject instead, "so what sort of magic do you like the most? you didn't cast many spells during our ..test."
[ooc] Before I keep on forgetting, it occurred to me that I may not have been as descriptive as I could have been. I believe I told a few people in person, but I wanted to be sure that everyone knows.
Andrezi is young, even by the school's standards. You would have to ask him to be sure, but he looks to be about 12 or 13. It shouldn't surprise most of you, he is after all only 4'6", which while tall for a dwarf is definitely under the minimum height for a human. [/ooc]

"I like Transmutation. My spells are all very useful things, nothing really for hurting or fighting. I've never really understood the point of all of that... the fighting I mean." Ingrid pushes her glasses up again with her free hand, this time with more of an angry gesture than a nervous one, "I mean really, what good is there in proving your superiority just by hurting someone? Isn't it more logical to just do something useful and do it better in some way... I suppose there is something to be said for defense... but if no one is fighting it isn't really as necessary, at least... I wouldn't think so."
As the pair approach the room, the hum of voices and activity can be heard from within. Ingrid opens the door and ushers Andrezi in ahead of her.

As the pair enters the dorm common room, they find two figures already within. One of them is a scrawny stick of a man, looking like a rattlesnake someone just stepped on, and currently on the floor. It might be assumed that he was recently tossed in that direction by the other man, a large Ulfen brute who some might recognize from earlier this day, when he brought Ingrid to this room originally.
The shaken one on the floor is rising to his feet, clearly about ready to leap for the much larger man when the duo enters. At this, they both turn in the direction of the door, and the Ulfen speaks up, only glancing to the door momentarily. "This young one belongs here from what I'm told. My daughter, think you you can find a warden for this one?" The man on the ground finishes rising, and seems to eye the two in the doorway before speaking. "My name is Hakner. I'm a student. This brute won't leave me alone. (looking to Ingrid, with a frustrated, yet still somehow appealing look on his face) Can you do something about him? I would appreciate it." He drops into a crouch, resting on the balls of his feet, and eyes the much more muscled man with suspicion.

Ingrid stands very still for a long moment, surprised not only to see her father again so soon, but also at the threat of impending violence if something was not done quickly to prevent it. Her fingers unconsciously moved to push her glasses up her nose again as she tried to puzzle out what to do, and quickly.
"My daughter, a warden, to restrain him if need be. Quickly, girl."
Jolted into action by her father's words, Ingrid whirled gracelessly out of the door with all the speed she could muster. Almost as quickly though, she turned and stepped back to the door, "Hakner, your name is? My father will not hurt you if you are still." Remembering the younger boy, still poised just inside the door, "I won't be but a moment, Andrezi." and she rushed out again and all but tumbled down the steps in search of school faculty who would be able to assist.

Hakner does not seem phased by this turn of events, but mutters quietly to himself. "Its not him I'm worried about..." He seems to have not even noticed the younger boy in the door.
