Mercury leans forward a bit, resting an elbow on the table. "Mr. Ceyx, I am not doubting your capability here. Of course I am a SOLDIER. I do think you should calm down a bit, as I am here to speak with you about something that concerns you, personally. Unlike some of my compatriots, no doubt, I do not wish for my organization to come to blows with you, or anyone else, unless necessary. The matter at hand is simple: several people in this area have died recently, of supposedly unexplained reason. You are the prime suspect for this. I am here to find out if this is truly what happened, and to deal with the results. My superiors want the guilty party brought in alive, if possible, and I would very much like to ensure that the correct person or persons are held responsible." He shifts a bit, clearly trying to make it apparent he isn't about to spring from his chair or anything like that. "Would that be you?"

---for Mercury---
Ceyx sits quietly, and leans back a bit, putting both feet on the table rudely: "So? What if I have? You make it talk about bringing in alive, holding responsible, and finding the right guilty party. You haven't made any mention of what happens to them when you bring 'em in. So tell me, what if I have killed those people? SOLDIER operatives spying on a good free town. Why, I'd be damned proud to take responsibility for that." You get the impression he isn't lying and you get the distinct impression it is in fact he who killed the various people. "So... deal with those results you SOLDIER dog. Do you want details? I s'pose it isn't hard to give details about killing monsters like you and your kind. Isn't that what adventurers do? Kill monsters?"
Ceyx seems to be intentionally baiting you into a battle, but you can't quite tell why, though your leading suspicion is to break off this 'conversation' as quickly as possible.
---for Marius---
"Oh~hh, looking for Ceyx or ah~h~h... his name is Dimitri isn't it... I believe I know who that is... poor boy, he is a puppet. Dancing to strings he unknowingly attached to himself. Ah~h~h, if you are looking for him I would've suggested not leaving your friends! Surely two heads are better than one... but oh~hh well. You're here now so let me tell you what I can little monster-child!"
She gives you a friendly and warm, almost motherly, smile as though 'monster-child' was an endearing term/nickname before continuing, "The truth is that Ceyx is but a willing sacrifice to a cause he has been convinced is his own. Even now he dances to a hand he does not truly know. Ah~h~h... poor little monster-child, you are being drawn into something awful, I can see a web of despair around you just waiting to snag. You must persevere or escape now, you'll not have a chance otherwise... oh~h~h but I am sorry to be the bearer of news so ill. I'll stop there, the destiny hanging around you and your colleagues... but no, that is not for now. Come back and see me when the sky rains red on a sunny afternoon. By that point... a~h~h, by that point you'll be ready to hear much more of what I have to tell you." She seems almost sad by having said what she's said, but adds one more thing: "By the way, steer clear of the angel, fate hangs heavily about him like a shroud, his destiny may well consume your own. I should not be telling you that, but ah~h~h, I feel an attachment to you." Another warm smile and then she adds an afterthought: "The energy? The king? Oh~hohoho... no, you're not ready for him. His knife will cleave through your body in one moment and carve your soul in the next! Think not on him his majesty waits and can continue to wait endlessly, when you return later, and I do so~o hope you will, ask then. I foresee you'll be ready then, let it be a lesson though, that energy signature you felt, that is an Eidolon's Aura, when you feel it, there is one nearby. Oh, and don't mind his bitterness, he shares the same fate as the rest of my great grandchildren and so his mind is buried in rancor just as theirs is... his is simply greater because his former position. Oh~h~h deary me, look at me ramble on. Now go dear, shoo shoo my little monster child, your friend needs your help, or rather, he should; but here, have a cookie before you go." and with that the ghost hands you a greenish crumbly cookie out of nowhere and vanishes just as quickly with a friendly atmosphere as though having to return to chores and such around a house.
You are left standing by yourself holding a green crumbly cookie, the native life moving around as it always has. The boatman and his boat where you left them.

Smiling slightly, turning the cookie over and over in his hand, he watches the woman fade from existance. " 'When the sky rains red on a sunny afternoon.' I'll remember and I'll return. Thank you." Slipping the cookie into a pocket for later he turns and walks quickly towards the boatman, calling out as he gets closer. "Good sir, I require passage back to the far shore." As he calls that out he sends his nets out towards the far shore, searching for Mercury by his unique MAKO signature, both his unique infusion and the new energy signature that he now knows to be that of the Eidolon that is Mercury's sword, remembering the conversation from earlier with Valgrind. Realizing that he needs to make haste, he moves onto the boat as swiftly as possible, trying to locate Mercury with all due haste.
[ooc] btw, when you say green are we talking moldy looking or just like... green almost like it had been dyed green or what?

[ooc: I mean green as in a bit of both, it looks edible, but questionable. Also, I will post a larger post when Dave responds as well.]

[ooc] Well in that case....[/ooc]
As he turns to start his search and to head towards the boatman, he breaks a small piece of the cookie off, dropping the majority of the cookie into his pocket. As he moves forward, calling out to the boatman, he pops the small piece of cookie into his mouth and chews on it, trying to determine what kind of cookie it is as he casts his senses out to find Mercury.

Calmly reaching for his face and pulling his goggles loose, Mercury shows off the intense white glow from his eyes. "Is that what I am? A Monster? I've been told that before, but nobody ever seems to know for sure. So I don't care anymore. Take me as a monster if you want, or judge me by my actions. Either way, I am just a man sitting across a table from you right now. And if you're so proud to have killed other like me, there must be a reason. I would very much like to hear it."

---for Mercury---
Ceyx gives you an unreadable smirk of smug satisfaction and retorts: "I do take you as a monster, I thought I made that abundantly clear. You're just a monster wearing a man's skin. You want a reason for killing you 'things'? When has there ever been a necessary reason for getting rid of evil and unjust? I thought that alone was reason unto itself! Maybe you could use your superior SOLDIER knowledge to tell me why I'm doing it if that isn't my reason!" He seems to be holding back on the matter, you suspect there is more to it than that, but again his driving motivation seems to be to end the discussion.
---for Marius---
As you eat the cookie piece there is the undeniable comfort of 'home' in its taste. There is just a sweetness of childhood memories in each chew. You find yourself greatly relieved after eating just a tiny bit, you imagine eating the entire thing would probably put your mind at ease (restoring or adding PSY).
You cast your senses out, searching for a MAKO signature as you ride the boat back towards Tibris. At first, you cannot detect anything outside environmental energies and natural signatures, but for a brief moment you get what may be Mercury's energy coming from one of the warehouses. A few minutes later (so Dave's next post will definitely occur before your actions) you arrive on the shore either on the outskirts of the city, or somewhere else if you say something about wanting to 'land' elsewhere.

I will indeed mention to the boatkeeper that I wish to land near the warehouse where I caught Mercury's energy signature.

(If you want to move this along with one person James, feel free. I'm ready whenever you are, and I'm going to see if maybe Lonewolf wants to join me.)
When the boatkeeper lands near the warehouse, Marius will move towards the warehouse carefully, keeping his aware of his surroundings, especially the MAKO energy nearby, trying to pinpoint Mercury's whereabouts.
