Shaking his head from his stupor of thought, having been deep in thought (although probably more likely deep into a light form of MAKO trance) he looks around and sighs. Remembering Mercury saying he was going to check out the arena he shrugs and stands stretching. Looking at Adion he chuckles. "Tell Mercury that I went out to check out 'those bastards on the island' if he gets back before I do." and with that he strides out and heads towards the island and the odd feel that he felt earlier.

Eddie takes a long hard glance at Mercury before he finally seems to make up his mind and gives a visible shrug and acknowledgment. "Done. I'll set you up a meeting with Mr. Cloak, I'll even clear out as many of his goons as I can. Might still be outnumbered though, hard not to be when you're all alone, eh partner?" He gives you a smile, then turns and throws a series of hand signals at the other man who nods and walks off casually. "By the way, 'when you can' should be as 'soon as you can', not keen on waiting just like I imagine you aren't either partner!" He claps you once on the shoulder roughly with thickly callused hands that smell of the sea and pulls himself closer to whisper to you. "By the way, if you get into battles or whatnot, shouldn't need to be mentioned that any damages you cause are your fault and yours alone. Catch my drift partner?" He pulls himself back before you can even respond, claps your shoulder again once, and then says: "Private or public? Just the last little detail, partner." He gives you that same knowing-grin of a man that lives a dangerous life and waits for your response. "Aside from that, partner, I'll be sure to tell him to give you a fair chance. After all, you didn't just try to bring me in, hell, I even told you who I was and you don't mind, not bad at all partner."
---
Marius walks to the shore and sees the same boat from before... it definitely either followed you or knew where you were going to be, or simply approaches anyone near the water... of those you can't tell which. This time, however, a small figure is on the deck, a tiny hunched over shape in a heavy brown raincoat holding a lantern. The light from the lantern reflects in two luminous yellow eyes that seem to eye you coldly. As you approach the voice calls out: "Ferry you across? Not all return, not all leave, you are kin to us, but enemy to all, tell me Marius, what is it you wish?" the voice is oddly calm but seems to be speak as though in pain. You can't quite tell where its mouth is as you can't see into the hood beyond the yellow eyes. You're also suddenly distinctly aware of the knife it holds at its side in its other hand... something you're quite sure was not there when you first approached. The lantern's light glittering cruelly along a blade so sharpened you can't see the edge clearly. There is also a mist creeping in across the water that seems, in some ways, to be accompanying the boat as if to shroud it from others.

Mercury replies simply, "Of course I understand the want for urgency; as I'm sure you understand mine as well. As for the location, I would prefer a private location, but only so long as it is not his private location: I know you understand what I mean. Once this is arranged, I will uphold my end of the bargain as soon as I possibly can, you have my word." The SOLDIER is mostly immobile through the conversation, not being nearly so livid as the other man.

"Oh Gods! Oh gods! not a Tonberry!!! I'm doomed......"
"Yes, I had heard that there might be someone here with whom I could speak about gaining some knowledge I require. Perhaps you could help me?" As he talks he keeps very calm...and still. Something about the creature disturbs him, probably the weird MAKO energy coming from it. Ever alert though, he makes ready to react at a moments notice if the need arises.

Eddie nods again hands you a piece of paper, and calls out over his shoulder as he walks away: "Storage House, Number Four-oh-five partner", the paper itself reads: "Warehouse #6 by the shore in 45 minutes." you have no trouble locating the building, it only takes you about 20 minutes to find it, it's not locked and inside it is lit with some flickering torches. It is a vacant hold for ships that travel up the river from the coast, the goods have either been loaded onto a ship, or have yet to be unloaded. Otherwise, the place smells of moldy wood and damp metal. There seems to be no one in there yet, but there is a side room that seems to be a manager or guard room with torches lit there. --- "Speak to? On the island maybe. I'm the boatman. Take you there?" the hunched over creature shows no impatience or anger, it is completely devoid of emotion except for a general air of distaste for you but you get the distinct impression it's nothing personal, just the way these things are.

Mercury looks to the shoreline. {How quickly does it get deep? Could a ship sail up here, or have to anchor a ways out? Could Syldra swim here?) He then moves to investigate the side room.

"Yes I would appreciate it if you could take me to the Island. Is there a fee I must pay for your services?" Keeping a close eye on the creature, he continues to play out his sensory net for disturbances of MAKO energy, hoping to catch any signs of danger before they would normally be apparent.

The side room is set up to accommodate some form of higher-up, you suspect it's the foreman's room to watch over the workers or to deal with clients, regardless, it is well suited to its task. It is roughly 20 ft. wide, and roughly 30 ft. long room made of the same material as the warehouse. There is very little in the way of distraction with nothing on the walls, and a clean fiberglass window looks out at the warehouse from within. The window itself is reinforced with metal wiring so it won't shatter if struck. There is a rectangular table set long-wise in the room, it leaves only a five foot opening at either side of the room with the door at one of these openings which would force people to enter or leave single-file. There are three wooden chairs on either side of the table and one ersatz chandelier hanging barely a few inches from the ceiling with small, crude, capped candles, they are currently all snuffed out; two bracketed torches instead provide a solid warm glow. Indeed, this room even smells cleaner, almost as if the light and warmth from the torches in the smaller room banished the stale air of sweat, moldy wood, and damp metal. As for the shore, the water is quite shallow for a ways out even around twenty feet out it's just then reaching chest level, you suspect larger boats must wait out on the river and lake and send smaller ships laden with goods ashore. Syldra would find it impossible to swim close to the shore here. You also speculate you have about 10 more minutes before the 'meeting' if you wish to set anything up in advance. --- It stares at Marius long and hard before shaking it's head almost reluctantly in a "no" regarding a fee. "All aboard." it says quietly and the mist seems to harden into an ominous gangplank in front of you. [Assuming you board] The creature shoos you to sit somewhere, then as it returns to the helm's steering wheel it doesn't seem to touch it but the boat scuds off across the water silently. Aquatic life seems to thrash about to get out of the way of the boat and aside from the occasional flustered movement noises and the gentle sound of the water, the night is still. The chill of the night abates slightly as you pull within sight of the island. The place is oddly lush in plantlife but in a subdued way. Here there are more things such as creepers and fungi, vines and lichen, low hanging willow trees and moss, that all seem to cover the area with an aura of green interrupted by odd colors. There is a distinct bio luminescence to the area as many of the mushrooms, vines, and moss glow unevenly with unearthly colors. The strange illumination is broken by concentrations of such light sources and the occasional lantern. It seems to be a village of the same creatures as the boatman with homes that are built directly into hills, trees, logs, and any other feature of the terrain that seems adequate for the purpose. They completely ignore you as you shamble on about your business. You also notice there is an occasional fairy like creature flitting around, hinting that more than just the creatures you see skulking around live on the island. The boat pulls up to the shore (or as close as it ever seems to get), the gangplank reforming, the boatman silently shoos you off the boat, but makes no effort to leave; giving you the distinct sensation he'll be waiting right here when you're ready to return to Tibris. It offers only one more statement as you leave: "Speak to Grav'iton." Then goes back to total silence unless you request to go back at which point it states "All aboard." again. The gangplank of mist vanishes once you step on to the island until you decide you wish to leave. www.megaupload.com/?d=ZKSJTJA4 --- Current Theme for both of you.

Moving off away from the boat a few steps, Marius takes a good look at his surroundings, never having seen a place quite like this. Something about it seems to give him the creeps.... probably the odd MAKO energy he was feeling earlier. Shrugging to himself he turns halfway back to the boatman. "Where might I find this 'Grav'iton'?"

(OOC: yes, well I wasn't sure if that meant that he wouldn't say ANYTHING else so I was just checking. Sue me. lol.)
When he doesn't receive a response he shrugs and walks away, looking for something or someone a little more talkative. He also cautiously keeps his senses out for any sort of odd MAKO signatures that might catch his attention. If he doesn't come upon anything obviously more talkative than the boatman, he will stop and try to get the attention of one of the fairylike creatures that float about. "Excuse me, might you know where I can find Grav'iton?"

[Okay, for Mercury I assume you go and wait in the staff meeting room since you haven't posted anything else in over a month. Again I repeat please post your actions in this game, even if they are simple. With so few players I don't want to be taking liberties, especially in a game where the game is heavily driven through roleplay and storyline]
As Mercury stands in the room, back against the side without the plexiglass, a man fitting the description and what you saw before of Ceyx enters the room, axe-pistol at his side, a man at his side in a bulky robe, and Eddie behind that. Eddie remains standing in the doorway, somewhat blocking Ceyx and his no-doubt henchman from turning and running, he whispers a quick: "Hey, hey, this guy wants to meet you, give him a chance, eh partner?" Ceyx seems rather disgruntled but moves over to take a seat, his follower remaining standing behind his chair to the side.
The henchman wears a large thick robe and you see no weapons, but you suspect him to be a monk from the loose but ready way he carries and moves, every step he takes leaves no wasted motion. He seems to be a half-orc from what you see from his face and there's a musk of death around him, you suspect he carries poison somewhere on him or at the very least has used it before.
"Yeah SOLDIER? What do you want, and don't bother trying to hide it, I can smell that stink on you and I'm only here because I owe him," and he jerks a thumb at Eddie, "a favor." Ceyx states after he asks you his question in a bitter tone, you can tell he isn't pleased to be here and you can tell that Eddie is here because otherwise Ceyx wouldn't have been... though if you catch Eddie's eye (and you can only because I'm being generous from my laptop, PLEASE POST A CHARACTER SHEET) you can see him wink at you, apparently he thinks 2 versus 1 is unfair and is here to even the odds if it goes sour. He slyly brushes his nose at the monk-like fellow, implying that Ceyx is yours if trouble breaks out.
---
The creatures seem to either ignore you or regard you with cold stares or casual glares. You get a distinct unease, but they don't seem hostile towards you. There is a strange MAKO signature in the area that pulses in the area almost like a chant you can't quite make out the words of that continues to echo silently around. It does not seem welcoming to you, but unlike the surrounding little green creatures, this is a blatant dislike. It is reacting to your infusion and you realize you are standing in the sanctuary of an Eidolon, though you can't pinpoint its location and you suspect it is willfully masking itself from a Concentrated MAKO infused individual. If you ask any of the creatures about the presence of an Eidolon they just respond with: "...King." as if no more were needed to be said, and indeed they will say nothing further on the subject.
When you ask one of the fairy creatures, it chitters quietly to itself for a moment before saying in a childlike voice: "Grav'iton can be found over there!" and points to a particularly grim looking hill house covered in fungus. The house is made of a very old black-wood and looks quite sturdy. As you approach, the smell of a moldy grave is unmistakable, but there is also a truly rare feeling of purity from inside. As you approach the door, an image of a person appears: a ghostly woman.
She appears ancient, as though even in life she were hundreds of years old, possessing a frail and delicate grace as though in her younger years she must have appeared almost nymph-like in her beauty. Her features are not distinctly elven nor human and there are numerous tribal markings on her face and its ghostly nature are both further blurring what her race may have been while she lived. She wears richly tanned and decorated leathers, feathers, beads, bones, and tassles of colorful fabric adorning them luxuriously, and seems to evoke a sense of compelling richness of spirit.
"Ohh... hello there young man, what brings you out here? Ohh... and don't mind my poor great grandchildren, they were not always these 'creatures', the Tonberries are long since consumed by their own enmity and spite, their grudge changed them and now they stand as you see them. Theirs is no easy lot to bear, but they bear it still, even though few alive remember what grudge it is they bear. Ohh... listen to me go on, I haven't had an outside visitor in such a long time, so tell me child, what is it that brings you out here, I can tell you have something to ask of me and it would be my pleasure to answer."

Bowing slightly, he smiles at the woman, letting his eyes shine in the light. "Hello M'lady, thank you for speaking with me. My name is Marius. I am sorry to hear that your people are living in such hardship. Might you tell me the story behind their plight? I must admit that it intrigues me."

"Ah~h~h... not quite the time for you hear to that I don't think. I'm sorry little Marius, but you're not quite ready for that, so shelve your curiousity for now, it isn't like I'm going anywhere ah~haha..." Her slow drawling manner of speak is comfortable on your ears, it seems like she has a gift for speaking and telling tales, but you get the distinct impression the matter is closed (for now, at least) on the history of her people. "Ohh... So tell me, don't be shy, what brings you here, I can sense a purpose about you o' wielder of the planets might."

"As you wish M'lady, I will not press further into the matter. To tell the truth, I am here in my capacity as a member of Soldier, and I am trying to locate someone that we have reason to believe is in the town. More than that though, I am trying to collect any information on the person in question. Motives, location, dealings he has had. Any information would be helpful, but his location is paramount. His name is Ceyx." Pausing for a moment he looks thoughtful. "Beyond that, the energies of this island intrigue me greatly. I have never felt a MAKO signature quite like it. I would like to learn about it."
