A svirfneblin enters the room. Obvious Exits: North, Up, Not Dennis.
Svirfneblin advances you.

[ooc]Ok... so... sorry....... no real excuse.... just got distracted.... my apologies....[/ooc]
Moraad thinks for a while, looking at everyone. "Perhaps we should go meet this Lord of Flames. Any information you all have on him would be helpful. Also, any resources you can spare to help defend my students in my absence would be appreciated. Feldwin will, of course, be staying at the tower to run the academy, and will be able to answer any questions you have after I have left."
Looking around, he looks for agreement from the others, or comments and questions for anyone.

"No worthy alternatives come to mind, Moraad."
Gregor seems contented with the idea and the body of information which Moraad provided him in explanation. The recent events seem troubling to the Ruby Knight, but he is resolute that he is on the right path.
"Fetch the beast," he says to the small child carrying the bronze bell. The child turns and leaves, searching undaunted for the Rancor so that they can waste no more time in setting out.

A large barbaric looking human stand up. "My people's Dragons can move faster then any land based transportation. Do you require use of them?"

"Teleportation will be far faster, as much as I prefer the scenic route. We can go that way." Braeden stands up and steps in the direction of the door/teleportation pad.

Hsiao stays quiet, simply observing and remaining an unflinching 'presence' in everyone's mind. He sends a general 'thought/emotion' of compliance, seemingly bored and disinterested but still willing to tag along.

As the Rancor slowly drinks his life away, he yells "THE RANCOR WILL PUNCH A SPHINX IN THE FUCKIN' FACE!!!"

"Teleportation may be faster, but much can be learned by traveling on foot once and a while. You wizards tend to forget that, more often than not, I fear. Very well then, take us to our destination, wherever that may be."
He waits while the Rancor is retrieved so that they may be blessed with his presence once more. Gregor wonders how well Moraad can control the beast.

OK Rancor you have been drinking the bar out of booze quickly and the bartender has decided that hiring a full time carpenter to reconstruct chairs might be a wise business venture. About the time the bartender decides he has to admit that you are enjoying his last keg a young child appears with a bell. He looks quickly around the bar then zeros in on you. (Communism I am going to leave it up to you to voice the child.)
Assuming the rancor is reacquired by the party: Stormrage (the human who offered the Dragons) briefly instructs you in the intricacies of dragon riding (Long made short don't irritate the dragon or appear too appetizing.) and offers each of you a younger dragon. If you have anything you want to do before you begin the trek south to the Realm of the Lord of Flames speak now.

"As much I love taking the scenic route, haste is the weapon we must employ now. There is nothing wrong with using a little magic when the fate of the world may be at stake." Once the Rancor arrives, assuming he does, Braeden says, "If everyone is ready I can take us there."

The Rancor seems confused by a child with a bell. Assuming the child survives whatever Will Save it has to make to try and pull The Rancor from the bar, The Rancor will accompany him back. If he tries simply asking, he gets nowhere (but The Rancor does not yell at the child). I assume the child has done this before, so it probably goes mindbogglingly smooth (especially for witnesses). Upon returning, the Rancor screams, "WHAT THE HELL WAS THE POINT OF THE BELL!?!?!" The Rancor pauses, and makes a hash mark on a small wooden charm he's carrying, seeming delighted. There is only one other hash on the token. He then looks up, and resumes. "NEXT TIME, SEND A BEER!!!" The Rancor sees the young dragons. "THE RANCOR HAS A NEW MOUNT!!!" The Rancor runs over and pets said-dragon. At the suggestion of magical transport, The Rancor seems less excited. "THE RANCOR WILL TRAVEL HOW EVERYONE ELSE TRAVELS!!! BUT THE RANCOR CAN DRIVE A DRAGON BETTER THAN ANY OF YOU WHILE DRUNK!!!" He stands sullenly next to the dragon he would have ridden.
The Rancor then grins and you can almost see the lightbulb above his head. He waits unnaturally calmly for the teleport spell that Braeden suggested.
