All creatures loose focus. Some call this sleep, others revery, still others meekly succumb to strong drink but all do "sleep". In this altered state of consciousness some say the mind and soul are free to do as they wish. In such a state you all find yourselves. Each of you, unbeknownst to each other, is also griped by a shared dream or vision. You are standing in a cool place, fog covers most of your vision and steam rises as you breath. Slowly the fog creeps away to reveal a face. "I am waiting for you. I am the bringer of all things and all things must bend their knee to me. You are so summoned..."The rest is lost into echos and gibberish. You then snap out of this dream or vision and back to your consciousness. [OOC/] I will periodically contact some of you via PM if there is something your character would know that others might not. This makes your choices of languages very important please be sure you have chosen carefully.[/OOC]

Hsiao slowly opens his eyes (which would be his normal two, he seldom opens his third eye without intent to use it) after the vision. His tentacles writhe in silent contemplation, always slow to react he quietly turns and looks about. "Interesting. I wonder..." his feet make a tiny clacking noise from their armored texture against cool moist tile as he walks into his symbiote lab and looks around their holding tanks. A quick perusal of their thoughts and then he returns to his meditation chamber. He sits quietly on a large, throne-like chair of stone and places his hands flat on the armrests. Slowly, his eyes closed again. A flickering/off-colored facsimile of himself appears standing in front of his inert form on the chair; an astral projection. It winks out of existence seconds later, only to reappear in Moraad's personal study (both knowing its location and having permission), looking for the wizard. When he finds him he says in a quiet voice (in draconic):
"Moraad. I have just had a most unusual experience. My symbiotes did not (or did, depending on DM info) experience it. An extraordinarily vague vision. Perhaps you might better understand the significance of this... if there is any?"

From the basement of the Moraad's place comes a loud, muffled bellow. "THE RANCOR WANTS INTO THE DAMN TEMPEST KEEP YOU BASTARD! THE RANCOR WAS NOT THAT DRUNK!" There is about a 5 second pause before a loud breaking sound. The Rancor can be seen staggering to the bathing area. He drops off a small note in the handwriting of a kindergartner in a box that seems well used labeled "Furniture to be Replaced." This particular note says, "CHARE."
After about 5 minutes, loud out-of-tune singing can be heard from the bathhouse. "THE RANCOR!!!! THE RANCOR!!!! THE RANCOR IS THE RANCOR!!!!"
After about 10 minutes of that, The Rancor wanders over to Moraad. "THE RANCOR HAD THE DREAM AGAIN! THE ONE WITH THE DOOR OF NOT-DRUNK!" The Rancor opens a pouch on his belt, removes a turkey that is obviously too large for the bag, and begins snacking on it.

"That was...odd." "What was?" Ultherion makes a perplexed face. "I saw an image of a face while trancing. And it said something." Kelnozz writes it down. "Sounds like you had what I think you mortals call a 'dream'." "Yes, perhaps, but the strange thing is that elves don't 'dream. When we trance, we empty our minds completely, and are rested after we finish." "Oh, yeah. Hmm...so should we consult the others about this?" "Perhaps, but after they've awakened."
Kelnozz then goes about his normal daily preparations, and makes his way to the 14th floor at breakfast time.

[ooc] I know I haven't put up particulars about the tower yet (And I need to) But I'm waitig on Lone to get a chance to do a final approval. The short of it is that the Rancor's Room is in the.... I think its the 5th Basement (Don't have my chart in front of me), and Everyone Else who is in the party lives higher than the 10th floor. So, roughly 15 stories or so between them. I doubt we can hear ANYTHING from the Rancor's room. Regardless of that, I would say that we generally meet on the 14th floor when odd things happen (Main Dining Hall/Throne Room) Since most of you don't have access to my private quarters. And also, The Rancor would know to meet there if he needed to talk to Moraad. Also its where we would all meet for breakfast (Those of us that eat) as its where my table of Heroes Feast is at.) [/ooc]
Moraad wakes up slowly, contemplating the dream before he even opens his eyes. Finally he sits up, scratching his chin as he thinks. Clothing himself in his usual outfit, he snags his mask and slips it into his bag as he pads out of his bedroom and into his study, only to find Hsiao standing there, or rather the Astral Projection of Hsiao. Blinking a few times (As its not a usual occurence), he listens to what Hsiao has to say, without interruption. Frowning for a moment, shakes his head. "Odd indeed Hsiao... I believe we might have had the same dream. Which means it might not have been a dream, and instead some sort of actual message. I wonder if any of the others experienced it." Turning he pads from the room, motioning for Hsiao to follow him. Knocking on Feldwin's room, he waits for the door to open.
"Yes Moraad?" A tall young elven man asks upon answering the door. The elf is wearing his usual robes, with the symbol of Mystra stitched finely into the front, and a holy symbol around his neck made of pure silver.
Moraad spends a moment explaining the dream, finishing quickly. "Did you have a similar dream?"
Feldwin answers and then frowns (I'll wait on the DM to tell me whether my Cohort had it or not), before saying simply. "I will pray on this matter, and see if Mystra can shed some light on the matter."
Moraad nods to Feldwin, letting him go back to his rooms. Before Turning back to Hsiao. "Are you hungry my friend? I have a feeling that if any of my associates had this dream, they will be waiting in the dining hall for me to get my opinion... And as of right now, I don't have any more of a clue than you do." Assuming Hsiao agrees to come (Either physically or in Astral form), Moraad will head to the Dining Hall on the 14th floor, walking straight to the main table and saying a quick command word, the table instantly filling with all manner of food and drink, a feast fit for Heroes. Motioning to any of the others who might be already waiting he starts eating. "I have a feeling we have something important to discuss, but perhaps it is best to wait until everyone who decides to show up does so, to save us all our breath. Until then, we shall eat."

Hsiao's tentacles silently flop in what would almost look like a shrug mixed with a sigh. "I will never weary of your jokes, my friend." A small chuckle, "Do not worry, I am not hungry, and I have the necessary mind-fungus I must consume, but I grow my own supply steadily enough." Hsiao follows Moraad, the image flickering still an astral projection, finding others remain less nervous when he is not 'truly' there. Hsiao's flickering image stands to the side, far out of the way, as the others eat. Silently adjusting his Ring of Sustenance on his finger and noting that he should eat some of the specially created fungus designed to serve as 'brains' for his diet when he returns to his body.

[ooc] my above post has been modified, since I didn't know about the placement of quarters. Or how tall this tower is, for that matter. [/ooc]

The Rancor looks up at Hsiao after a flicker or two. He yells, spraying bits of food on a Burst 3 area in front of him, "WORMFACE!!! WHY ARE YOU SEE-THROUGH?! THE RANCOR HAD BAD DREAMS!! DO YOU KNOW WHO DID IT?!"

Hsiao makes a small disgruntled noise and then says aloud (having long since decided one brush with The Rancor's mind was more than enough) "Because I can do that at certain times. No, I do not know who did it."
[OOC]Would there a be a knowledge check of some kind to maybe recognize the face?[/OOC]

Cyrus awoke with a loud dull thud as he fell off his bed, face first. Pain surged through his hungover head. "Ugh.... That dream made no sense..." He finally got up and stumbled his way towards the nearest washroom.
It would be about half an hour later before Cyrus showed up at the dining room on floor 14. It was obvious that a splitting headache plagued him and so did the slight smell of booze. He paid no heed to the others until he had eaten something.

"That was disturbing." Braeden sits straight up from ground on which he fell asleep. He gets up and streches trying to push away the stiffness. "Now the real question is do I go to the bath house or go see someone about this dream?" The dog he looks at stares at him with a sleep grin and the look that says, "I have no idea what you are saying." "Oh, you're right. I should look into this, but who would know? Maybe the professor. He might have an idea and that would give me an excuse to open this bottle I found a week or so back. Lets go then."
I little bit later at the entrance to Moraad's tower: "Is anyone awake? I would like access. It's Braeden, Braeden Quinn. I have gifts."

Gabriel will come up for breakfast as always, he concurs the strange dream by simply nodding.
[ooc] I don't want to say much yet, as the character is not fully finished, but I do want to show my interest as much as I can. I will try to finish the character soon, but for now I can easily use the stats I have, as a Werepanther, Gabriel is fairly dangerous even without equipment. I would like to take this chance to ask about how the shifting will work, does equipment meld into the new form, or will I shred and/or shed any clothing or equipment that doesn't fit to the new form? If things don't meld, is there a special enchantment I could purchase to allow it to do so? That's all I can remember to ask for now...[/ooc]
