I am very interested in this game. I have an idea of what my character is going to be. I question though. Are races an classes and stuff going to be in pathfinder as well or just what is listed. I for one would like to play in the pathfinder system. Just throwing that out there.

I would personally prefer to use the Pathfinder rulesystem. Not sure who all has access to those books however.

The pathfinder SRD as everything anyone should need. That is what I have used for my campaign this year.

I'm not entirely sure how this is going to work, or if I like the idea of starting with such abyssmal stats and then getting bumps every level, but I'm will to give it a shot.
And as long as you're doing everything else so far under pathfinder rules, you might as well say that you are using the Pathfind rules entirely. That way people dont have to ask if this or that in particular are using pathfinder.
No idea what kind of character I'm going to play yet....maybe a ranger... be the guy who man's the crows nest.

I have some interest in this game but am truly at a loss as to what I'd play. Still workin' on that. Also a bit skeptical of that stat system, but ah well.

Full hp? Full at first rolled thereafter? How are we doing that.
Also, I dont care what alignment we play. You all decide. My character will probably be Chaotic-Neutral regardless, so I should be able to fit in wherever.
also, decided to play a ranger going for Arcane Archer. 3 levels of ranger to start.
Also, how many traits do we get? the standard 2? And is there a list of 'campaign traits' to choose from?

Also, when you say 1 ability score point gained at each level, does that include levels 1 2 and 3? as in we have a base 10 to buy our stuff, and then we get to add 3 points where we want them, or did you mean at each additional level?

I would be interested in playing either an Oracle or a Summoner, for those that don't know about the new classes that are in playtest from Paizo: Oracle is a spontaneous full 9-level divine caster. They get a curse, which is initially a fairly heavy penalty, but over time is lessened with some benefits. In addition, rather than domains like a cleric, the oracle has a focus which determines their style as well as giving them bonus spells and a list of possible revelations which are similar to domain powers or the sorcerer bloodline abilities. Summoner is a spontaneous partial 6-level arcane caster (like a bard). They can cast the summon monster spells a number of times per day, but despite not having 9 levels of spells, the spell they cast is determined as if they were a full caster (Summon Monster II at level 3, Summon Monster III at level 5, IV at level 7, and so on). In addition, their primary ability is called an Eidolon, which is similar in concept to the Druid Animal Companion or Wizard Familiar. What is different, however, is that the Eidolon is completely unique and customizable to each Summoner. The Eidolon has an evolution pool which is used to "purchase" different abilities that make the Eidolon more powerful.
Basically, as an Oracle I would most likely play a sort of ship's guide sort of role, while a Summoner would be more of a guardian, or at least keeper of the guardian.
Any thoughts?

A few responses for everyone,
I will be using the pathfinder rulesystem. Intead of gaining an ability-point at 4,8,12,16,20, you will gain one at 2,3,4,5,6,7,8, etc. For those of you looking at classes and such, you might want to hold off until next week when I have access to my .pdfs again (Using my work laptop this week while I am in Detroit). There will be a few additional base classes available that are not WOTC or Paizo approved.
World information will be forthcoming shortly, but will be somewhat restricted based on your current local.

From what i saw in the campaign info (which is supposed to have that question mark symbol I changed it to by the way, I'll let you fix that yourself, it is for forum aesthetic), is a lot of this custom made or in some book I can't get a hold of? The Paizo books being an example I can't obtain; because they have not allowed me to register to do the free downloads and no one will just provide me with a pdf (*glares at Ben*) and solve that problem.
Still not sure at all what I want to play, can I ask what the focus is going to be? Are we going from port to port a lot? Land battles? Adventuring to various islands? Sea battles? A mix of all? Just something that I can ask while I continue to ponder what to play.

The two main locations will be in Five Fingers, the port city and on-board the pirate ship. Other locations will come up, but that will be the main focus at the beginning.
