The wanderer shrugged once more. It felt like he had been doing that a lot today. And with that, he took the rear guard, following the others. Up ahead, the path curves around the main building, going in an upwards slope. After a good 30 feet of walking cautiously, the hallway turned sharply in towards the building, but not quite towards the center. It was a straight, level path, and a door could be seen at the other end which seemed to go further into the building. Nanaya suspected that the door would lead to a main room of some sort. The entire straightaway was about 50 feet long and 20 feet wide. [ooc] Oh yes, I forgot to describe what it looked like outside as you passed the bridge. I'll link a screenshot to give you an idea of what was down below. Link 1 and link 2Nick, I don't think Joe and James are hiding from the party. I think they're hiding from anything else that you guys will encounter. James, I'll IM you what you find so you can be the sneaky bastard that you want to be. lol [/ooc]

Rychar's chain now dips low to the ground, as he also follows with the group.
[ooc]max - you can't pick you you want to hide from, that doesn't make any sense (unless some sort of cover is involved), so while, yes, we can see them, its because they have no way to hide from us (since we could already see them) - not 'cause they want us to see them. They might, but its a moot point. [/ooc]

Moving across the pathway, he makes his way up to the next doorway (assuming nothing weird happens, like traps go off). Checking the door over to see how it opens, whether side to side like the last one or push open like the first one. After deciding which it was, he sets himself to prepare to open the door before looking over his shoulder at the gathering party. "So, are we ready then?"

One annoyed party later and door opening shenanigans later...
The next room was a massive circle. Or rather the center of a tower. There was a main path that spiraled upwards to the right - it was a solid 10 feet wide. Railings of spikes prevented the clumsy from falling off. To the left was a dead end - a wall of spikes blocked off the path. The tower-esk room was about 50 feet in radius. In the center was a huge flaming pillar that reached from the very bottom floor (about 80 feet down) to the very top ceiling (about 70 feet up). This pillar of flames was the only source of light in the room.
Sadly, the party wasn't alone. Up the walkway, about 30 feet away, was 2 more of the fiends they had seen outside. One wore armor and had a greatsword, the other was in black robes and had a pair of horns coming out of his forehead. They had just turned to see who was at the door...
[ooc] Yes... Fuujin's crazy and maybe stupid. You may get whatever bitching you like before the door is opened. Otherwise, roll initiative! For note keeping: Livio: 11, Fuujin: 23 [/ooc]

(Assuming I led the way through the door, as seems to be custom, since ive been pushing them open, and yes, He mostly ignores Fuujin's antics with the traps.).
Taking a quick scan around the room as he steps through the doorway, Lameth notices the fiends up the path on the right and turns, preparing to make his way towards the enemies as fast as possible, speaking to them happening to be on the bottom of his list of things to do.
(Init: 18 Yay for rolling well).

Mike steps through the doorway behind Lameth and looks around quickly. (FreeAction: SPOT:18+18=36, LISTEN:2+16=18) Mike looks up at the creatures and bears his trademark grin. "You boys really oughta put those weapons down, you could get yourselves hurt." At this, Mike holds up his unloaded Light Crossbow and points it at them (INIT:4+10=14, I wait for them to say something, if they haven't responded by the time Lameth gets to them, I free-action load and triple-cap the armored guard, and the first one eats 2 strength, attack rolls: 2,20,20 <double crits> 15/33/28)
<ooc>Let's hope they talk for the armored guy's sake.</ooc>
GM EDIT version 2: My bad, Joe. I skimmed thru your post and skipped over it. I am making edits as we speak to fix this idiotic blunder of mine.

Rychar moves into the room, loosing his chain. "I don't really feel like giving them much of a chance, I'm sure they deserve whatever we get them." He takes a stand next to whomever is in the front, shaping a shield onto his left arm.
[ooc] Init: 21 - I make a shield an then ready to trip an approaching enemy. Touch: 3+15=18, tripping roll: 16+6=22. I also start my Holy Fury [/ooc]

Nanaya blinked. Everyone was blocking the door to the next room. And judging from what those just past the door were saying, there were enemies about. Any normal person would've either pushed his way past or yelled for them to move. Nanaya had proven again and again he wasn't normal. Even if he wasn't particularly skilled at it, the wanderer knew a quick way past his allies. He took a quick step back and then barrel rolled past them (tumble check 14+5=19 passed).
Once in the room, the half elf noticed the two fiends. Standing back up from his tumble, he waved his hands quickly and said a short incantation. Once again, a barrier formed in front of him. He then shifted his stance for one-on-one combat.
[ooc] Post summation: Fuujin tumbles into the room, casts shield on himself and moves into the Stance of Clarity (dodge buddy set to armored fiend).
Posting order! Fuujin (done), Rychar (readied action posted), Lameth (incomplete at the moment), Mike (done), Livio (who has chosen to sit back and out of the fight for now), Baddies! [/ooc]

Taking quick note of where Mike was aimed, and realizing that the unarmored foe is probably the more dangerous of the duo anyway, as he is most likely a spellcaster of sorts, Lameth smiles under his helm and rushes forward, his shield tilted slighty, giving his right arm full range of motion to come forward for the powerful charging slash. Just before he gets to his target he blinks as 3 crossbow bolts flash between him and his enemies, cutting into the armored creature on his left. Not even bothering to take notice of how many hit and whether or not the thing was still standing, he brings his blade to bear on the unarmored figure in front of him, his sword flashing brightly with the force of his Faith, his arm corded with the power of his strike. Following through with the slash and readying himself to take advantage of any openings.
[OOC:] Post Summation: Charged, letting Joes delay take effect right before I struck. Attacked: 15+9(14-Powerattack5)+5(Smite Evil)+2(Charge)=31 to hit. Damage will equal: 1d8+22 if it hits. With the Harrower(Currently a +2 Cold Iron Longsword Roleplayed still being in my stance:Thicket of Blades.[/OOC]
GM EDIT again: To keep the confusion to a min here, it's James' turn to post, followed by teh baddies and then back to the top. EDIT v.2: James has opted to do nothing this turn.

The robed fiend's eyes lit up as the paladin charged into it, cleaving into the arms the creature threw up in a horrible attempt at blocking the blade. It cringed in pain and throws the sword off its arms. Grumbling something in its bazaar tongue, the robed fiend waved its hands about. A fiery explosion erupted in the middle of the path, catching Mike, Rychar, Nanaya, and Lameth in blaze.
The armored fiend was equally annoyed. Taking two crossbow bolts to the chest, bolts that went clear through its back. It roared loudly and brought its greatsword around to cleave into Lameth. The paladin was lucky enough to have a shield, as he blocked a strike with it. His armor absorbed the second attempt.
Results of the Round!! Mike's damage to the armored fiend = 50! Lameth's damage to the mage fiend = 28! Damage to everyone but Rychar (who saved completely) and Livio (who was in the hallway at the moment) = 15!
Round 2! Fight! (lol)
Nanaya's eyes flared as shrugged off the effects of the fireball. One would expect gritted teeth and an angry expression from somebody who just took a blast like that. The half elf, however, smirked. "Pff. Can't you do better!" In what looked like an instant, the wanderer had cleared the gap between him and the armored fiend. In the next instant, his blade had cleaved into the creature, ignoring the fact that it had been wearing armor. And in the last instant of his attack, electricity was arcing off the blade from the fiend.
[ooc] Summery: Fuujin moves in, attacks with Emerald Razor (14+14=28 touch attack) and unleashed a shocking grasp stored within his sword (damage 1d10+4+ 5d6 electric). Armor'd fiend had dropped. [/ooc]

Rychar hops quickly up behind the half-elf that just dropped the armored fiend and brings his chain to bear, hammering into the unarmored caster. [charges, leaps a short distance, power attack 5, and attacks - mountain hammer tech./furious strike 11+15=26 damage 3d6+2d6(tech.)+2d6(holy fury)+24]

The robed fiend didn't last much longer than its friend. A chain slammed into its face. The sheer force knocked it down. Not that it needed that bit. It was dead before it hit the ground.
Results of the Round! (Damn that was short) Fuujin deals 24 damage to the armored fiend and kills it Rychar deals a massive 53 damage to the mage fiend (over kill much?)
Loot: +2 daedric greatsword unidentified magic rod 2 unidentified potions
Decent looting this time around.
Nanaya simply picked the rod off the mage fiend's belt and pocketed it. "I'll get this ID'd later and then figure out what to do with it then." Then, after scratching his chin, he spoke again. "We need a party loot bag..."

Looking down to the items laid out, Rychar shakes his head, "I don't have a bag, but I can carry some large objects, if needed..."

"Well, if its a Party Loot Carrier we need, I have something we can use...Although I'd prefer not to keep him here longer than needed." Stepping back to the entrance, which seems fairly clear and level, he focuses for a moment and the softly says "C'mere Fete, I need you for a moment." Immediately after he says this a yellow gold spark appears on the ground, expanding rapidly until it is a bubble of yellow gold light, similar to the sun, about 10 feet in diameter, before suddenly popping. Standing where it was is a graceful looking horse, which stamps its foot once, its head swivelling from side to side to examine its surroundings before focusing on its master.
Stepping up to it, Lameth changes into his lighter armor mid-step before wrapping an arm around its neck and patting it. "Good to see you boy." he says in a calm, soothing, quiet voice. The horse is lightly armored in what appears to be chain barding (Chain shirt), with a military esque saddle on its back and a backpack looking saddle bag hanging from one side behind the saddle. Turning back to the party he addresses them. "This is Fete. He's a friend and companion. He'll carry what we can't carry or don't need until we can get somewhere to dispose of it. I don't want to Overload him though, so don't just think of him as some packmule. Once we put what we need to on him or in the bag, i'll send him back." Smiling slightly he looks to see what kind of bizzarre looks he may be getting.

As the glowing spark starts to appear on the ground, Rychar begins to back away. By the time it has grown to its full diameter, he has withdrawn to behind everyone else, seeming to be rather uncomfortable in the new presence. With a rather disturbed look on his face, he turns away and backtracks onto the walkway, sitting on the path, looking down towards his feet.
