Lance shares his findings with the others then nods and moves on again. When they reach the next room, Lance checks all the lockers for anything valuable or for more clues about the facility. He cautiously examines the storage crates as well and attempts to determine whether the computer could be powered on again or whether it is damaged (in addition to being powerless. Also, what is the market value on computers?). Lance then searches the surroundings for other doors and exits. Lastly, he adds:
"I think this was a mining facility of some kind. We'd be best served to stay out of its depths. Seems like it'd invite them to hound us." The way he says 'them' is clear that he's referring to Revenants. "If we must go into the depths, I'd prefer we were expeditious about it."
[OOC]: Where are the ruins located? Did we fly out to some spire out in the sea? Is it on land?

Javad escorts Lance in and covers him while he checks lockers. Javad then covers any exits, and listens for movement on the other sides. "Hey, we gotta dig deeper if we're gonna make anything on this venture. Don't worry little guys, I'll get you outta here safe." Javad gives a grin as he surveys the room. If the computer does start back up, Javad will offer to help Lance in any security stuff he may encounter on it.

The ruins are one of the few spires in the sea east of the town of Avres. Some of the other spires are too unstable to search, while others have been thoroughly stripped of any loot there was. This particular spire happens to be the farthest from Avres. You can assume that this was an undersea mining station, so you would have to find some means of surviving underwater if you wish to enter the mines.
The computer, sadly, is built into the structure. You would have to break the wall to get it out, which might be unwise. You'd guess it still functions, if you can find a power source for it.
When you search the storage crates, you finally hit something of value. You find many pieces of salvagable MysTek gear, some raw materials, and an item which may provide a great deal of help - a Power Conduit. You are in luck, as it still works, although needs recharging.
[ooc] Special Rules time!! Thankfully, all of these are to your benefit as long as you work with it. It's pretty straight forward. [/ooc]

"I think it may be wise to try and get the computer started if possible. It may give us information that will help us find value loot or avoid potentially lethal traps. What does everyone else think?"

Javad picks up the conduit. If it can be inserted into the computer without destroying anything, Javad will burn the energy required to charge it and plug it in. If not, Javad says, "Allen, find a way into that thing. If you have to break some eggs to make the omelette, go for it. I got your back." He will then wait until a conduit point is revealed, charge the conduit, and plug it in.

Lance nods, "I think I could probably use my energy to boost this thing online. Thoughts? Though we might want to be careful because it'll may call Actualizers to it."

Adrian suggests that somebody charge the Power Conduit while he checks to see if there are any other obvious problems with the computer system.
[ooc] I'm just checking here, it seems like normal people can have supernatural powers, and anyone is able to charge a power conduit using their own reserve energy...
How is a mage in any way special? Do I get anything out of not spending my points through items? or should I redo half my character and double the strength of all of my powers...
Posting this publicly because at least part of it pertains to the qualification of the rules item... [/ooc]

Looking around, he shakes his head. "Man is this place a mess. Just once I wish we could find one with some salvageable paperwork, make sense of some of this." Shrugging, he follows the others into the next room, Mechanical Advantage once again in its holster at his side. Helping the others to search the lockers for salvage, he smiles when he see Lance pull out the Power Conduit. "Now there is something finally going our way. Lets boot up this computer and get some information about the rest of this place."

"I will guard the door." With that he draws the sword strapped to his back and steps to the door. He constantly listens for any sounds on the other side but doesn't open or touch the door. If he thinks something hostile may be on the other side he will activate his force field.

[ooc] Ben, we will get to your mage bit later, but in short, I figured you would have taken Item to some degree. It's more of a role-playing thing really. I should also note that your Compainion is also upgradable, since it is a MysTek Actualizer, and you can gain also specialized spells and items. Trust me when I say this: find a Magic Crest and you'll be awesome. Talk to me about on AIM sometime and we'll work this sort of thing out. [/ooc]
Anyone can power the Conduit. It takes 10 EP to charge it fully. You've heard about these rods, that all it takes is a simple tap and it'll send power to the object for a short period of time. Lance's theory about bring Actors to you if the computer is powered is valid, although you can also guess that the 'bots already know of your location and if they were going to come to you, they're already on their way.
If you guys power the computer, roll me Computer skill check.

Adrian still does as stated earlier, suggesting someone power up the Conduit while he checks the computer. Once the computer is powered, he concentrates a bit and retrieves the information that is needed.
Uses Computer Scanning...
[ooc] I suggest someone that doesn't actually use their Energy to spend the energy to power the computer. Apart from that, my statement stands. [/ooc]

Computer(Security): 7+2=9 (Javad probably just glances over and stops somebody from doing something completely stupid)

Adrian - you scan the computer without issue, although it looks like you can't get very deep into it right off the bat. There's a number of security protocols installed that keeps you from getting all the info, but you do get a map of the facility. It seems to be dated, as the hole you guys made on your way in isn't on the map. You see an elevator at the end of the next hall, but it needs a large amount of power. Your knowledge of Mana tells you that the Power Conduit is not enough to get that elevator off the floor. Thankfully, in that next hallway is a door that leads to the generator. You also know that if you power the computer, it will be somewhat easier to hack, and Izzy may even be able to help you from the Wind.
Still going to need that Computer check from Adrian, if he's going to hack into the system. Javad or Lance aid you.
[ooc] I'm Ret-Conning my own ruling now. Only Adrian, Lance and Thrand are able to charge the Conduit. Makes more sense that way. Trust me, there's good reasons for all three of them. [/ooc]

"Alright, somebody charge this thing up for me, would you? We need to get moving here." Looking at Javad, he motions for him to toss it to whichever of their three resident MysTek powered people volunteer. After having it charged and handed back, he will find where it goes on the computer, insert it, and power up the computer, motioning for Adrian to do his thing.

If nobody else seems willing to charge the Power Conduit, Adrian sighs and charges it himself...
He will attempt to Hack the computer: 9 (2d6) + 4 (Mind) + 2 (Computer/MysTek Security) + ? (Assist) = 14+
Pending further possible information, Adrian suggests that the group proceed to the Generator to finish powering up the facility. Possible reasons not to include signs of increased security systems that could start up with such assistance...
