The door does slide open, and does so with relative ease. Javad's hand cannon blasts away the closest Scarab, a nice hole punched through its thin armor. Javad gains 36 HP.
There's 2 Scarabs left.
[edit'd: talked to joe about teh vampiric stuffs. Didn't realize it had such potential to be hax. lol]

Allen raises his gun at the same moment, squeezing off a round at the nearest Scarab that isn't Javad's target, in a very non-chalant manner.
Attack: 8+6=14 Damage: (4x5)+6=26
FX: Ignores first 12 points of armor, Ignores first 8 points of Force Field

With a quick twist of the hips, Thrand is on his feet in split second after waking from the fall. He reclaims his sword and checks the area for any remaining enemies before moving to help his comrades. He remains quiet while the others discuss their plan and while he watches the door and ceiling for more enemies. He spairs a quick glance at his captain when he makes the remark about flying, knowing the captain would not have forgotten about his ability to scale walls with ease, but does not say anything.
He moves on with the rest of the group as they make their way through the complex. When they come to a door and enemies are IDed on the other side, he sheathes his sword and readies his bow. Upon having the door opened, Thrand waits for his two gun slinging shipmates to take their shots and then steps up to take his.
Attack: 10+6=16 Damage: 24

Between Allen and Thrand's attacks, the second Scarab falls. The third, however, makes it to the doorway and attacks the greatest threat it detects, Javad. Hit roll of 11 and does 10 damage with its spot-wielding pincers.
Adrian's up.

[ooc] Did you mean to say "If it hits, it deals 10 damage"? Are you rolling our defensive rolls (I think you should, it'd save time)? If so, are you aware that it can't hit me with an 11? If not, it can't hit me with an 11. [/ooc]

Adrian steps up and raises his hand at the remaining Scarab, focusing intensely. As one of his inert MysTek items begins to glow, the Scarab begins to power down.
Nullify: roll - 10 + 5 = 15, TN: 15; Success
[If there is room and the Scarab is within range to move up and touch, he moves up and "attacks", 6+4 = 10. Success means he steals the powers (In addition to Nullifying them). ]
[ooc] I'm not sure if the ability would completely shut off the Scarab, I figure it's a pretty weak creature so it might be fully effective like that. At the very least, it is weakened now. [/ooc]

The Scarab's spot-welders power down, and it seems that the actor's movement has slowed some.
Round 2 order: Lance Thrand Adrian Javad Allen Scarab
[edit: deleted something that should've been over PMs. My bad. ]

Javad goes in and gets in the way of the scarab, drawing its attacks. While doing so, he takes a look around, gauging the surroundings and getting on comm. "Iz, anything still moving? Besides one scarab?"

[ooc] I'm just going to assume one of you guys just kills the last one without issue. No point in continuing combat when the last one can't even attack. [/ooc]
Izzy responds to Javad's question. "I think I detect some more actualizers a few rooms ahead, but that room is clear."
Now that you don't have actors trying to kill you, you get the chance to take a better look at the room. It looks it used to be a small office, although by the looks of the single desk and the bookcases on the walls, it had be searched through ages ago, likely during the Mana Wars. Most of the books and paper work around had already deteriorated beyond use.
From the door you have entered, there's another door to your left.

Lance calmly looks around in the room, sifting through documents (even the worn ones, would occult skill play into any of this?) for any clues from the past. Anything that is still intact he'll place in his pack or hand it to someone else who may want it. Once again he closes his eyes and listens to the silence intently for a moment (Zen Direction). After, he motions to the next door. "Javad, I believe our strategy of my opening doors and you shooting anything on the other side will continue to hold for this ruin. Shall we keep doing it?"

The mystek golem stands still and waits for the group to search. He moves on with them when the make their way to the next room. He is constantly watching for enemies.

Adrian steps forward, laying his hand on the final scarab, completing the process as a pair of pincers erupt from formerly inert MysTek on his arm.
Afterward, he awaits for the others to deem themselves ready to move further within.

Javad nods. "Works for me." He scans the room quickly, gets everybody formed back up, and proceeds through the next door.

Lance - Sadly, most of the paperwork you find is in such poor condition that touching it causes it to crumble. Whatever doesn't totally disintegrate is illegible. One report you find, however, you can read parts of. Seems that this ruin used to be a mining facility. You're not sure of much else, since it seems to be nothing more than a profit report. You guess this place went out of business shortly after the Cataclysm.
Javad - you peek your head through the next room, discovering the lack of Actors. You suspect there'll be more in the next room or two.
The next room seems to be, from your best guess, a locker room of sorts. All the lockers are closed except for a few, which are busted in. The Scarabs didn't fix those, likely from lack of supplies or lack of priority. There's also some storage crates and an unpowered computer.
[ooc] Sorry about the wait - first week of classes and I needed to get myself situated somewhat. Been a hectic week. [/ooc]
