This is a thread to get everyone that is planning on doing the high level PFS games online through maptools. Although this may end up extending to new players if we like playing maptool games.See this for details on the organized play: paizo.com/pathfinderSocietyNate, Stella, Corienne, Dave, Ben and that other guy; I am prepping a scenario from PFS to run when we next have time. #25, Hands of the Muted GodWe will use maptools (version 1.3.b69), rptools.net/, for a game board and can either use a voice chat or just do the maptools chat for communication. It's free FYI. This format can allow for actually secret conversations (hurray!).Those of you mentioned above, please become familiar with at least the player side of maptools and post your availability.
See my post at the bottom of the page for what the new method is.

I can run it when you guys are ready to play. I can only play/run on the following times on a regular weekly basis.
Friday, 6 pm to late Saturday, 4 pm to late Sunday, morning to 10pm
Because I am already at 25 xp, you guys can play without me if my schedule restricts you guys. Also, I plan on running the most often for the same reason (not going to put GM rewards into my main character) unless you guys catch up.

As for Stella and I, most nights work well enough now. All we need is a little notice and we should be able to work something out.

Still not sure how my schedule will be, but I think at least Friday and Saturday evening are good. Depending on hours, other nights as well, and possibly most of the day Sunday.
Well, except the upcoming Saturday next week: I'm planning to go to Milwaukee for the Music Fest.
Anyways, as for running games, I'm fine. Mike and Dave have access to my adventures as well.
And on a related note, A-Team was fuckin' A.

I agree with the A-Team comment, do you guys think we should try for tomorrow or Sunday?

Either day is fine for me, just let me know as soon as possible: I was planning on seeing a movie Saturday, and going to the Taste of Chicago on Sunday.
What? It's summer vacation, foo.

Now that we are not worrying too much about the get to lvl 12 thing, we can wait until the 2nd (a week from now) to play since this weekend would be last minute.
Is the 2nd good for everyone? I am looking at doing it in the evening.

Alright, going to try this again except with a forum game instead of a live game (it is too damn hard to get people to commit to a schedule in person, let alone online).
I understand this method will mean that a 4 hr game would take over a month, but I think that this is better than nothing and the lack of time limit for people being tired will let us actually role-play and also complete the module instead of skipping things because its 2 am.
I also want some suggestions and feedback for the format and gameplay.
A few ideas I have are as follows:
I think it would be good to have characters posted by Real Name and ID number for the thread title and within the thread, you post your individual characters in order that they were created. This would help with reporting, which I would like to talk to Ben and/or Sean about.
Another is something to keep combat moving when someone is busy IRL or is slowing the game down by not posting. In your character post, put a tactics paragraph that is at most five sentences. The tactics is what your character does if you do not post two days after the round starts. In the games I run, I will have the players say what they wish to do and I will throw it into a round recap so that a round takes two days. We can adjust this if popular opinion suggests so.
