The Curse of the Pharaoh Campaign Information
The story so far....Khemti, the Kingdom of the Pharaohs, who have reigned for thousands of years amongst the sand and sun. A land of great desolation and yet also lush beauty. Your party has returned from a successful adventure into the mountainous North, where a dark warlock who sought to harness the powers of the dead had wrought ruin on many cities. Amongst his stores, a sceptre was uncovered, ebon wood with a golden head in the shape of a jackel. Unknowingly, it was taken and a powerful curse was unleashed upon one unlucky soul. His spirit was slowly draining away, day by day, but there is still hope. Khubsheth the Prophet, an oracle of great reknown may have the answer you seek. You cannot let your friends and comrades of many years down, so you have set out to hear Khubsheth's wisdom. That is where this tale begins. Races: Human (Pesedjer), Halfling (Asari), Half-Elf (Peseshet), Elf (Esteri), Dwarf (Ptahmenu), Gnolls (Anpur), and Gnomes (Sutekhra). Feats from other books are subject to DM approval. Restricted Feats: Leadership, LandlordClasses: Classes are allowed from the same list as feats without any approval necessary. Tome of Battle is restricted, but if you have any non-campaign specific classes you would like to play, just PM me or find me on AIM. Other Notes- Cleric spells are treated differently. Spontaneous Cure/Inflict spells are replaced by the following. A cleric chooses two domains at first level. Each morning, they choose one domain which will fill their domain spell slots for the day. The second domain is the one in-which they will be able to cast spontaneously.
- Paladins do not gain the services of a mount at 5th level. Instead they gain other abilities. PM me if you would like more information on them.
- The Gods have gradually withdrawn from the world, all but sealing the outside planes. The two available planes beyond the material plane are the Neter-Khertet (The Ethereal Plane) and The Dream World (The Astral Plane).

Since the character wasn't ever "fully" used, I was thinking about bringing Irestil back for this game. To make matters even better, he would actually fit in this setting!
There would be changes of course, he wouldn't have the Leadership feat and I would have to level him up, but otherwise it should make it fairly fast and easy for me to set up a character.
So, I would be a melee character, focusing on speed, defense, and a multitude of attacks.

James and I are pretty sure the only course of action here is to play Hak and Kang (respectively). More to come when we know for sure. I can't speak for him, but I'm like, 99% sure I'm at least playing Kang.
...rofl, my stats are awful. 10/16/8/13/11/11. Should be a good fight for a caster with no bonuses and HP penalties that can only cast 1st level spells.

Also, a question. Full HP? Rolled after first? How are we doing that?

Joe, I don't think any of us, besides you and James, know who Hak and Kang are supposed to be.
Anyways, I'm eyeing a monk/ninja build. This might be the first high level character I've made that doesn't delve into PrCs. This could be interesting...

We cast. A lot. In style. I promise. I guarantee you've seen them before. I'll give you a hint, they're Asian.

we're going to have fun without a healer, yay...
also, I'm pretty sure the intent is to make this game move quickly, so Max, if you're going to try and play, you're going to have to actually post more often than a couple times a month...

Hitpoints will be max at first level, rolled afterwards since you all wanted a slightly more difficult game.
Also, as a warning -- you may not be able to complete the adventure without trapfinding.

I wanted to make a suggestion and see what all of you thought about it.
The intent of this game is to post daily, it doesn't have to be the most detailed post, and it can even just be a thought that your character is having at the moment.
However, what I would like to suggest is that each person nominate one other player who will be their ghost for the game. If you are going to be gone for a few days, or if you are unable to post for more than 36 hours or so, that player can start posting for you until you return.
As soon as you return, you can post your own character and it will override your ghost's actions for the day you return to posting if you don't agree with whatever they have done. I don't want to resort to ghosting the players, I'd rather see all of you in control of what the party does.
Do you guys agree or disagree with this?

You'll have to forgive me for shit coming up followed by characters being out of the action (like Fade is) or opting to stay out of the dialog because nothing's actually going on (like Cyrus). Thankfully, school will be done for the semester in 2 weeks for me, and I'll likely be able to post more often after next Thursday. Big final project is due then. On a side note - I had considered going monk/cleric/sacred fist, but then I remembered that I suck as a caster. Now excuse me, I got my roommate's cat to kill. She keeps clawing at my door... -Max

James and I can heal, a lot. We're good at that too. Just keep me alive, because I have 22 AC and 57 hp, lol. At level 15.
Also, traps aren't a problem if you have a slinky, a rock, and a long stick.
First person to figure out who we are gets a bonus cookie. Next hint is that are a team that gets hired to kill people.

Traps shouldnt be a problem (Didnt ben say he was looking at scout? They get trapfiding.)
And as for you max, you don't suck as a caster.. lol.. Besides, Monk+Cleric (going Sacred Fist) is more a fighter type with bandaid as a back up. Very handy. lol
Oh, and as far as the slinky and stuff go Joe, unfortunately at our level most traps are magically set off by someone (not something) triggering them and therefore it really does require someone with trapfinding (or someone with really good saves and alot of HP. lol. Yay Swedish Trapfinders.) lol

As another note, anyone whose character is from the desert area can take Heat Resistance 1 as a bonus racial ability.
The benefits of Heat resistance 1 is that you are safe up to temperatures of 110 degrees without needing to make the requisite Fort save every hour or take 1d4 nonlethal damage.
