Twilight Empire What would you do if you woke one day to discover that all your nightmares were true?“It happened almost 80 years ago now but old memories and beliefs die-hard. As I suppose do old hatreds. The world as you once knew it and took for granted changed when the moon eclipsed the sun and remained there. During those first few years the world was thrown into chaos. Belief fought belief, Science fought Magic, and old friends became bitter enemies. When the dust settled an uneasy peace had been formed between the surviving powers: The Fellowship of Light Bringers, The Empire of Shadows, and those of us caught somewhere in the middle; the Independents. You see some people you just cant trust or so we are told. Forgive me. Where are my manners? My name is Estaban, son of Draco vonUmbrech and Rebekah Lupine. Yes I know my heritage is a little unusual, son of a vampire and a half human, but such is our world now. Some of the mortal kings seeking a way to reinforce their claims to power in the turmoil of those early years added in the development of an alcamedical elixir that acted as a form of nourishment for the vampires that could replace their need for mortal blood. With this announcement many of the vampires decided this could allow them to return to the places they remembered from their mortal days and many of them moved back into the cities. Along with them the Lycanthropes began to return, recognized now as useful citizens rather then monsters. Don’t get me wrong there are still those on both sides who are monsters. Wild Lycanthropes and Evil Vampires, along with the more Wicked of the mortals are still out there, its just that no longer can you assume that one is one way and not another. As I said you might not recognize the world I have known my whole life.” Twilight Empire is based on D&D 3.5 with several differences. First there are still many gods but only 2 major religious factions represented by the Pope of the Sun (Fellowship of Light Bringers) and the Pope of the Moon (Empire of Shadows). Nearly all of the gods are represented in some form with in one of these churches with a few still holding their own shrines and small followings in the wilds. Magic and Alchemy have begun to merge and veer into wild new directions with far more power then ever before. After the Calamity of the loss of the sun many mages turned to seeking a reason for this and went down strange paths. Ancient Grimories of forbidden knowledge have begun to be taught at new academies of magic. Demonology, Necromancy, and other dark arts have become commonplace as Liches and vampires stroll the streets of mankind openly. New stranger magical practices of the Bloodcasters, Elemental-mancers, and Witches are now found out away from the tight control of the cities. People live in one of three places: Cities controlled by the Light Bringers, Cities controlled by the Empire of Shadows, or the occasional neutral city or town in the wild. All major cities lean to one faction or the other. While there is an uneasy peace between those who embrace their nocturnal brethren and those who do not there is a new thread in the wild. Some seeking an answer to the calamity have turned to the pits of hell it self to seek an answer. Doing so has brought the Abyss and the pits closer and the Demons, Fiends, and devils may now cross over easier into the Mortal world. All the races and factions face destruction from this new army of evil. As they assemble to lead a “Follow or Die” campaign across the mortal world. The Tempest Keep "Legends; at least thats what we have always been told. The prison of the dead gods, said to grant supreme power to whom ever possesses it. A place so powerful in magic that the Elder Gods bared it from existing in one plane, forcing it to jump from plane to plane. Some say its coming brings apocalypse. Some say that its a sign of great fortune. Only fools and drunks believe they know its location but one fact remains. After the world changed the powers began to mass armies and send out scouts. They are looking for something. Some point to the ancient prophecies and state that the Keep has returned to our world. But what do I know. I am merely a storyteller and a weaver of lore." So do you believe the bards tales? Do you believe that the keep might actually exist filled with untold wealth, power, and knowledge? Many do and many a ruler will pay handsomely for information on the Keep. In this game the party may choose to take up a contract to seek artifacts, or even the keep it self. Likewise the party might decide to find the Keep for their own benefit, or may decide that its a fools errand and work to help establish a peace (be it under a brutal dictator or via a true understanding and treaties.) The choices are yours but the world will be forever changed by what you decide. This will be a High Level game and serves both as an introduction to my world and as a start to (hopefully) a long campaign. But be warned in my games levels 1-20 are just the start. this campaign is designed to be able to challenge level 60.

A powerful caster in life he grew intwined in dark magics and eventually lead an assault on the Abyss it self. He returned after the loss of the sun to claim the throne in the Infernal Palace located in the center of the great lava lake. The Lady of Pleasures/ The Queen of PainKnown by both names but rarely spoken of the Lady of Pleasures/Queen of Pain is a truly Hedonistic deity. In her realm all manner of Vice may be found. the most permissive of the living divine some believe that she dose not care for the power but enjoys the benefits of it. Her followers range from Gladiator Masters and Slavers, to Bar Maidens and Harlots. Many pleasures and secrets can be learned from her realm, but everything has a price. The Bloody PrinceLord of all vampires. The Bloody prince is the epitome of the sophistication and decadence mixed with intrigue and murder that is the quintessential vampire lord. Since it seems everyone (Just about) Is living in my tower, I thought I would post the Info here.
Crepusculum Templum The Tower of the Arcane Arts, Moraad Selinska’s personal tower from which he runs an Arcane College of the Highest Caliber. The tower seems to float in mid air at the edge of a ¼ mile long peninsula, adding to the air of Mystery and Power about the place. It stands 14 floors from the ground level up. Gossips tells of basement stories that don’t seem to be there when one looks at the tower, and even other gossip tells of further stories higher up that don’t appear on the tower. The Tower has been around for many, many, years. The histories tell that the school has been open since even before the breaking. Many students have walked the halls and learned from the school over the years.
