We're all huddled up now... Better draw it away from Braska. Zomiel grips his twin blades and starting running, strafing to the left around the shadowy monster. He moves 40 feet, keeping a good 20 feet between him and the monster. Flames arced around his blades just before he threw one with great force. Even if the blade did not connect, it returned to his hand.
[ Zomiel uses a swift action to activate his martial thunderous throw ability (uses STR to throw and can use power attack), moves 40' as he strafes around the demon, keeping 20' away, and then attacks by throwing a sword, power attack 10. To hit is 15+24+22-10=51. Damage is 8+3+32=48. ]
[edit: wrong ability name ]

"Hmph. This thing isn't getting through me." As Jecht braces his feet, planting himself right between the creature and his ward (Braska). "Looks like nothing more than a big black mutt to me." He then makes a simple arcane gesture.
[OOC]I'm making sure I'm far enough forward of Braska that I should get an AoO if the creature makes a move to hit him (you didn't say how big it is, so I'm not sure of the reach myself, IC I should have a good idea. I use aura of invincibility, then cast true strike on myself.[/OOC]

With a quick wave of his arms and a few arcane words, he lays down a layer of force over the ground under and around the group, centered on him, 250 square feet of ground is covered. "Everyone stay on the platform!"

(For Dave: The creature is Gargantuan {Tall} [albeit on the small side thereof] with a 20 ft. reach with its arms.)
As Zomiel hurls his blade the weapon passes through the creature completely and it seemingly ignores the deadly weapon that just flew through its body. The weapon returns to Zomiel's hand undamaged and the creature seems to growl as Jecht moves between it and Braska.
It's tertiary eye closes slowly and the two blue eyes open again and the creature glares at Jecht and suddenly surges forward bringing itself in range of Jecht and two of its arms come slamming down with full force, the first striking the ground in front of him (now a force barrier so the blow makes no noise although you're sure it would've cracked stone) and the second connects with Jecht's armor but glances off of it, the creature recoils angrily and growls louder than before as its first attack was thwarted.
Warshade, your turn.
OOC: It is now 20 feet away from Jecht and attacked twice, missing both times.

Warshade grins, watching the creatures actions. Then suddenly his face turns grim and angry, he calls out to the creature. "Stop this trickery! You shall fight us on equal ground!" Then proceeds to cast a spell. Ghost Trap (SC 103)
[OOC:] 125 ft. Emanation centered on Warshade. All incorporeal creatures within this field become corporeal. Creatures cannot become Ethereal while inside the field, and ethereal creatures cannot affect this plane while inside the field. [/OOC]
edit - added Spell Reference book/page

Zomiel grins as he witnesses the monster becoming solid (assuming the Ghost Trap works). Chance... "Oh, is it over already?" He narrows his eyes, his vision clearing. The blade master unleashed a barrage of blades.
[ Zomiel uses his swift action to activate thunderous throw again and then full attacks, with power attack 10, with his twin blades while using the thrown weapon trick 'dead eye' (crit mod increases by one for a total of x3) (from Master Thrower). The swords return as usual, as per Lightning Ricochet. Attack 1: 19+47-10=56. Damage: 10+6+31=47 Attack 2: 10+47-10=47. damage: 9+4+31=44 attack 3: 10+42-10=42. damage: 4+3+31=38 attack 4: 10+42-10=42. damage: 9+6+31=46 attack 5: 15+37-10=42. damage: 9+2+31=42 attack 6: 9 +37-10=36. damage: 7+5+31=43 attack 7: 16+32-10=38. damage: 7+6+31=44 note: second number in the damage is fire damage. ]
[ooc] On a side note, I'd like to request that people note what book their spells come from for easy reference (unless it comes from the PHB). [/ooc]
[EDIT: fixed the mess of number to make more sense ]

[unless told otherwise, I assume yon evil beastie is still alive, but corporeal; my post reflects this]
"Well, you certainly didn't think this was going to take very long, did you?" Jecht replies as he takes a gambit, moving quickly to close with the creature while making an arcane gesture. "How do you like this, then, beast?" He says as he arches his sword around his body in a massive swing directed at the monster before him.
[OOC] Robilar's Gambit. Move to melee range (provoking an AoO). Arcane Channelling: Scorching Ray. My AC for the AoO (assuming the monster is now corporeal) is the full 57(-5 after I've attacked once), but he gets +4 to hit me/damage from the Gambit. I power attack 20 this round, taking 5 from AC to add to attack. My AoO (after his attack on me, if he takes it). Then I close with him and attack, channeling Scorching Ray.
If this thing counts as a 'dragon' for my class features, I get +1 to hit/damage
1st attack this round(prolly an AoO): 19+48=67, 18+48=66 to confirm (no extra damage, I know) 2nd attack this round(only if he attacked me):3+28=31
Damage 1st attack: 2d6{6}+82=88 Damage 2nd attack: 2d6{5}+82=87 Damage Scorching Ray (wherever it goes in):4d6{18}+4d6{15}=33
I will fix this post if either of my assumptions were wrong. [/ooc]

Watching his companions thoroughly thrashing the beast, Braska merely floats there in mid air, his legs crossed as if sitting on air, as is his usual pose, watching the combat. Calmly he waits for a time when his skills might be more needed.

The creature makes no noise even though its face scowls as several of the attacks bite into it yet it seems to show no signs of slowing down in the slightest, indeed working itself more and more into a frenzy as it goes. However, as Jecht advances it seems loathe to take the bait and instead does not take it's free attack against him out of caution for the stance it seems to vaguely recognize (albeit it doesn't know for sure, it just simply deems Jecht far too much trouble to attack at the moment and Jecht's new stance is vaguely familiar to it which further dissuades it from attacking him).
>>>The joys of this style of D&D is that I can say something like that and you won't be able to pinpoint it's AC or track damage and etc. Huzzah. Although for fairness sake: Dave got one attack which connected, and two of Max's attacks connected<<<
It shifts it's focus from Jecht and Braska and it's tertiary eye flicks open and glares down at Warshade (DC40 Willsave) with a baleful force. As it glares at Warshade with it's third eye the other two move independently of the third and glare at Zomiel, bringing it's claws down in a large raking slash. The first arm is nimbly dodged but the second crashes into his chest with enough force to split stone although Zomiel sticks to his feet, the blow does indeed inflict some harm.
As the creature brings down its other arms Zomiel managely to parry one but the other manages to slip a claw past his defenses and slash across one of his arms tearing a furrow in the skin.
Zomiel receives 73 points of damage from the two blows and feels an odd suffusion of energy from the attacks as though something has seeped into him through the wounds although it's presence doesn't seem harmful at all. (No, there is no saving throw, it'll make more sense after the battle, consult your local physician and loremaster).
Warshade, it is your initiative (in your post please post your will save and await me to edit it for results if you fail, if you succeed then simply carry out your actions as nothing happens to you).

[Will Save: 9+36=45, (in case it matters: Immune to charms, compulsions, disease, poison, and magical aging, also +1 if it is evil, +2 if it has the shadow descriptor, or is any sort of energy drain or negative energy, +5 if it is a death effect, oh, and SR 25 though I doubt that one matters much)]
Warshade turns to the first injury of the battle and imbues him with healing over the distance. The sigils above his head begin to pulse and glow along with the spell he weaves.[Warshade uses Naenhoon Power sigil + Reach spell and spontaneously casts Cure Critical Wounds. Take back 49 points of damage, a +2 sacred bonus to AC for 4 minutes(thanks to Imbued Healing), and 13 temporary hit points(Thanks to Healing Kicker)]
49 hp, 13 temp hp, +2 AC (4 minutes)
[edit - modified modifiers (they were a little wrong)] [edit - delay] [edit - spell casting] [edit - Imbued Healing time added]

Getting slightly bored from just floating here, Braska decides to actually participate. With a few gestures and a few arcane words of power, he holds his hand up, palm first, at the creature and a black beam of energy shoots forth, slamming into the creature's chest, causing it to purge dire bodily substances in a very rapid, and rather disgusting, manner.
(OOC: Casts Avasculate. Spell Compendium PG. 19. 35 Touch attack to hit. If it hits (Which it does) the creature loses half its current HP, and must make a DC 29 Fort save or be stunned for 1 round.)
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is how an Action is done (>>>He means you Ben<<<). thank you. -takes his bows-

[ooc] I know Ben hasn't exactly finished his turn, but he's taking a bit of time to figure out what he wants to do, so I'm going to go ahead and make my move before I get distracted by shinies again. [/ooc]
Pain coursed throughout Zomiel's body. "Tch!" He could feel his wounds healing up already, but it was too slow for his liking at the moment. This isn't going to end well if this keeps up. We better drop that bloody fucker before it takes any of us down... I can't take too much more of that level of abuse.
Once more, the blade master unleashed a barrage of swords, this time aiming just to hit and deal damage than hit hard and miss too much.
[ Zomiel attacks, same as last time but decreases his power attack to 5. Attack 1: 14+47-5=56 ; damage = 10+4+26 = 40 attack 2: 16+47-5=58; damage = 10+2+26 = 38 attack 3: 10+42-5=47; damage = 4+5+26 = 35 attack 4: 4+42-5=46; damage = 2+2+26 = 30 attack 5: NAT 20!! (20+37-5=52); damage = 8+6+26=40 attack 6: 18+37-5 = 50; damage = 2+5+26 = 33 attack 7: 12+32-5=39; damage = 7+6+26=39
Zomiel also heals 3 damage thanks to fast healing. ]

[sorry for the wait, as I explained to Nick just last night, I don't have a working computer, so I have to resort to alternate methods to do this.]
"This thing's pretty cut up. I'm surprised its still moving. Not for long!" Jecht unloads at it.
[ooc] If this thing counts as a 'dragon' for my class features, I get +1 to hit/damage
Robilar's Gambit active. Power Attack 15. Heedless Assault 5. Full Attack. 1st:16+32=48 2nd:19+27=46; confirm:15+27=42 (no extra damage, I know) 3rd:14+22=36 4th:17+17=34; confirm:16+17=33

The creature lets out a long, pitiful, droning noise and tumbles backwards and falls through the floor as it dissipates into motes of black nothingness from the repeated blows. As the motes start to fade they suddenly suck together into a single shape, leaving only a black blade floating in mid air.
The blade is in the shape of a scimitar and possesses no discernible edge or the like as the blade itself is utterly black as is the rest of the weapon. There is no hilt guard (just a blade and a handle, no pommel either) and anyone of a good alignment is even skeptical of touching it. The blade hovers silently and as it floats the tunnel seems to reconstruct itself from the blackened stone blocks and the torchlights return. However... you feel as though you've moved from where you once were and Braska no longer has any of his surveillance eyes.
You're out of initiative, the flame lights extend 50 feet in both directions indicating a long hallway, however, 'forward' has a bit of a slant upward and 'back' has a bit of a slant down.

Floating forward he slowly circles the blade, looking it over silently as he examines every inch of it.
