Appearance: Zaun is a small kobold, standing only 1 foot and 11 inches tall, and he weighs a little under 30 pounds. He's full grown, and well below the normal size of a kobold. The differences do not stop there, either. Where most of his species have neutral scale colors, or maybe a solid color to match some ancestry, Zaun's scales are the color of charcoal, with the root-edges running a deep reddish tinge, making him look like his scales hide a river of magma underneath his skin. In addition, his eyes lack the normal look of the rest of his kin. Instead, only the faintest hint of the normal iris and pupil can be seen, replaces with a deep, dark red similar to his scale-roots surrounded by a black eyeball instead of white. This whole thing is covered in a pearlescent sheen that makes them appear nearly white while any light shines upon them. In fact, without darkvision, most would probably think his eyes those of a blind man. He seems to pay little attention to any odd looks he gets however, and if someone comments that he appears different, he gets a look of pride on his face and snorts at the comment (sending a small stream of frost from his nostrils.
History: Growing up, Kosj was always the runt of the litter. He was small, and he didn't stand out from the others in any good ways. Even when he showed promise in Sorcery, the dragon-wroughts and dragon-bloods got all the attention, leaving the little one behind. He mastered his powers and where did they send him? Somewhere important? No. He was sent to help with mining, as a sorcerer. Well, that was enough for the young kobold. He decided that he'd leave the lair and find something that nobody else had ever done for the tribe - he'd get them a Dragon!
Well, things turned out a bit harder than the boy expected. It took him nearly a year (!!) before he found a dragon that would even talk to him. It was a great white Master that found his offer interesting. But it didn't want to go back with little Kosj. It did talk to him, though, and the Master changed the mind of the little one. He didn't need to give the other kobolds something like the Master, instead Kosj would show them how useful he could be. The Master liked this, and agreed to enter into a bargain with the little kobold. The Master would make Kosj better, and then they would form a Pact. Kobold gives Master power, Master gives Kobold power. Kosj was overjoyed! When change was done, Kosj was given a new name to serve Master; now he was Zaun Haurach, master of his own fate. Zaun was a little disappointed that the change didn't make him look like Master, instead made him look like his ancient heritage of other Master. But Master wasn't upset, so they entered into the Pact. Now Zaun has returned to Kosjoth, and is better than the stupid kobolds born with Dragon's signs. He made his on his own, and it is much better! Now he just has to show that to everyone else!
