Appearance: Shakkin is a vibrantly red Kobold, a sign that many of his kin took to be a disease of some sorts when he was younger but it turned out to simply be his coloration as a rich dark crimson when he matured. His eyes glisten a dark red, so dark as to be almost black. He has a set of sharply rigid bumps on his head forming an almost V-shaped crown or crest. He's rather tall and well built for a kobold, standing at an inch or two over two and a half feet tall (2'7") and weighing just shy of fifty pounds (47 lbs). He carries a heavy pick adorned with one main red point and four smaller decorative points in blue, green, black, and white. He wears a polished mithril chain shirt over his body with a little trinket devoted to Tiamat over that that bounces noiselessly on his chest. He wears a pair of leather gloves over his hands as well. Overall he carries himself with a sense of pride not openly seen in most kobolds, he also has an air of confidence about him that many would probably find makes him a good leader were he not such a deviant in his own society.
History: Shakkin Kazjo was born a troublemaker. There's no other way to put it and no other kobold in the Kosjoth tribe would bother to nice it up. He's caused trouble since he was little and continues to ambitiously cause more now that he's older. Since a young age Shakkin possessed the kobold drive to work... unfortunately his was mostly selfish. For him, there is a definite drive to work for his own benefit, and often times little concern for what it does to others. From his earliest years Shakkin has been obsessively fond of the idea of being dragon descended and he eagerly awaits the day his fondness is rewarded. To such an end, Shakkin zealously worships Tiamat hoping the goddess will one day notice and favor him. Of course being young, male, and full of such grandiose dreams he no doubt hopes for things no kobold would ever bother to contemplate.
Fortunately for this kobold, he was found to possess the gifts of sorcery... unfortunately for his tribe, he turned down the rite of becoming an esteemed kobold sorcerer... instead stating he quite liked the feel of melee combat and that being a sorcerer would put him away from 'obtaining glory'. At this point the red kobold was regarded as somewhat of a bad luck person, a notion he took to far more gleefully than the tribe anticipated, embracing the path of a hexblade instead of a sorcerer. The tribe was quickly losing patience with the big-headed dreamer who had only managed to eke out a living in the tribe as a rather talented raider and defender. When the tribe was in trouble he pulled through marvelously even while new to the job, and when the tribe was not in trouble, he took it upon himself to be trouble. Another thing the tribe had working in its favor was its dragonwrought chief S'xxap. Shakkin sees him as a symbol, a divine one from Tiamat that this is where he should stay with the Kosjoth, and so while S'xxap is in charge, Shakkin will follow. Either way, Shakkin is currently the kobold that those in charge don't want to acknowledge but unfortunately must keep an eye on lest he cause undue trouble.
As it stands now, Shakkin is a raider and a fanatic of Tiamat, turning his cursing abilities, magical potency, and leadership/charisma skills towards the better of the tribe at the cost of its enemies. He even gets along amicably with other races (when it serves his motives). The Kosjoth Tribe is (he believes) still considering means of getting rid of him, as he has not proven to be a very good 'merchant' or the like that would normally allow him to branch off and form his own tribe.
