In the Land of Fire, there is a grove of trees, unusually tall. They stand out in the forest, and tower over the other trees in the area. But other than that, there is nothing remarkable about them. Were one to go there, a brief ring of almost unnoticeable flowers is the only thing that separates this grove from the rest of the forest. Other than the height, the grove is really not worth commenting upon.
Or so the people of Yuugukure, Village Hidden in the Twilight strive to make other think. For, within the briefest moments of dawn, and the fleeting few seconds of dusk, the grove of trees come alive, and a bustling village shimmers into existence, full of life and vigor. Hundreds of people live in Yuugukure, each one of them charged with the mandate: Live So That We May Live. It is up to each individual to discern the meaning of this odd saying.
Yuugukure is both an old and new village. The founder of the village as it is today claimed the title of Yuugukage, and it was he who discovered the ruins beneath the trees and the ancestral spirit within that causes the large grove to disappear during the day and night. From both the ruins and the great spirit, the first Yuugukage learned much. He was much surprised to find that his family had once lived in these very same ruins, and even more interested to learn of the origins of his special traits.
The first Yuugukage and his clan were well known as excellent priests and exorcists, as well as exceptional ninjas. For most of history, when they were mentioned, they have been known as the Kuroana clan, and primarily served the powerful aristocracy. It was during one such generation of service that they were cast aside by an foolish feudal lord, who plotted their deaths for no other reason than that he did not like them. It is only through luck and what history records as heroism that the clan once known as the Kuroana family survived. The first Yuugukage, also the head of the clan, changed the family name to Nokemono, which means outcast. He did this as an act of defiance, and the rest of the clan now wears the name with a strange sort of pride.
Thanks to the immense powers of stealth that is provide by Yuugukure, the Nokemono clan became incredibly reclusive, and in several years, when the foolish feudal lord was overthrown, no one could find them to tell them to come back. The Nokemono would not have come back if they had been invited.
Within those few years, they had built houses for themselves, learned more about their selves then ever before, perfected many new techniques, and found the ruins to be both intriguing and irrisistable.
The Nokemono Clan grew in strength and power under the guidance of it's Yuugukage and the spirits that they found in Yuugukure. Slowly, they gathered other trusted families into their fold, and Nokemono, large already, grew to be the head of a respectable sized Hidden Village.

All righty. That right there is the most basic of the back story. Simply put, Yuugukure is a village very in tune with kami, ie, spirits. You are a young ninja recently out of the Academy and being placed into a three-man cell with a jonin or chunin leader. This formation is also known as a squad.
Currently, this is an INVITE ONLY game Do not ask for an invite. That is a way for you to immediately NEVER PLAY. The reasons behind this is (a) that I'm still learning the game a bit myself and (b) because it's three-man cells, it's a smaller game. I'd rather not invite someone than have to decide between characters.
For those of you playing (and I've talked to you three already), Character Creation is as follows:
-http://www.narutod20.com/downloads-2/ (with bookmarks! Trust me!)
-http://www.myth-weavers.com/ (Character Sheets / Fill In Name / Scroll for Naruto)
-4d6 seven times, dropping the lowest stat.
-Do this twice. Take your choice of the stat block.
-Reroll 1s AND 2s.
-Starting ECL: 6
-Occupation: Academy Student
-Do NOT take the Genin feat. If you pass my exam, you'll get it for free. If.
-With 3 ranks in Ninjutsu, you gain Bunshin no Jutsu, Henge no Jutsu, and Kawarimi no Jutsu.
-Both Optional Rules found on pg. 15 of the adobe file are in effect. Other Optional Rules are being looked into, but until otherwise specifically stated, assume they are not active.
This next one is the important one:
Rules from the book may, at any time, be thrown out the window in favor of doing it more like the manga or anime
::The caveats, of course, being that major changes will allow time for players to adjust characters as needed, and that even in the face of abject stupidity, it is unlikely to change during the current fight.
::We are using the book as a sort of guideline (See: Pirates of the Caribbean {the first movie, PLEASE don't see the second, I need your mind to be able to work}), so I'm gonna try some things and possibly change some things. I just want everyone to be aware of that. I won't be unreasonable in my changes, but if I am, you have permission to call me on it.
-There is a Bloodline Trait for the Nokemono Clan, called the Reihada. If interested, please ask me about it.
Above all, have fun.
p.s. Oh. Anasylum is NOT dead. Just on... indefinite hiatus. I WANT to play it. I just need to rethink it some.
