[mostly taken from the original thread] Now, to unveil the redone game plan for what I am to run.... XORVINTAAL!!! (See MM5)
This game begins at level 15 with 200,000gp. As with most of James' games, I will give you fair warning - it will be hard, not easy. So plan well.
Alright, so:
--Everybody has to agree to a single Dragon, please do so here (not just on AIM - talk on the board to keep it moving).
--Dragon descriptions are vague, once you've narrowed it down, I'll give you more info.
--Just like James' version, I'm not using standard exarch rules and favors and whatnot. So you can expect little perks depending on the Dragon chosen.
--You can use most any source when making a character, but if its abnormal, check with me first.
--Unlike James' version, the Great Game (Xorvintaal) isn't the only thing going on here. Nations rise and fall, people live their lives, etc. without interference normally. The Game is powerful, however, and when it gets in the way, its in a BIG way.
--Deities can be custom-made, along with religious orders, talk to me about it. Pre-existing ones from other sources may be used, but still check with me - I may use a different version of that God than you do.
--Other Planes exist, but are extremely hard to get to for any length of time. This won't affect any spells, except for those that require planar travel for more than 1 hour. Those will be handled on a case-for-case basis as to how they work.
--You cannot be related to any Great Dragon - deal with it.
--One 'background' flavored feat is given for free at first level. Stats will be done rolling 4d6 (drop lowest) 7 times (dropping lowest), rolling two columns (taking whichever you want). Money will be decided upon based on level.

Without further ado, THE DRAGONS:
Dragon Name:Mhyrdra Location:Unknown Titles:The Slumbering Master, Dragon of Dreams Xorvintaal Status: Mhyrdra is asleep. For as long as any mortal can remember, Mhyrdra has slept. She attracts servants that need little direction, although those not in her service don't know how or why she moves through the Great Game - just that she is a player to be wary of. Her moves are seldom, but always effective.
Dragon Name:Atarvalkkan Location:The fiery depths of Vulcan Titles:The Madcrafter, Sage and Savage, The Armored Dragon Xorvintaal Status: Atarvalkkan is an oddity among the Great Dragons in that he takes a personal hand amongst his followers. That is to say, he has been known to lead the charge of his troops into battle, arrayed in armor befitting a God. He attracts skilled craftsmen, as well as warriors, to his side, and it is said the best arms in the world come from his forges, mayhap even some he made himself.
Dragon Name:Gaul'jhar Location:The Walled Temple Titles:The God-Mage, Oathbinder, The Dragon of the Heavens Xorvintaal Status:Gaul'jhar is a lord that proffesses to serve another. He claims to be directed from his Master to keep order during the Great Game. Any who come to him in peace, asking for an Oath to be bound, are taken in and services are often rendered, but not always at a price the recipient likes. The God-Mage has much magickal prowess at his command, and often attracts those interested in such, whether they serve a God or use their own power.
Dragon Name:Aerelos Location:Citadel of Clouds Titles:The Phoenix, Dragon of Birth, Life-Bringer Xorvintaal Status:Aerelos uses untraditional tactics in the Great Game, even non-players can see that. Instead of attacking his opponents, he brings life to the battlefields where they fight each other. As a result, none of the other Dragons ally with him, yet none directly oppose the Life-Bringer either. Those attracted to his presence are often either generous healers themselves, or those his side has rescued from death before.
Dragon Name:Merendeem'an Location:The Deep Wood Titles:The Terror Claw, Old Fang, The Beast Xorvintaal Status:Merendeem'an makes swift, brutal strikes at her opponents. When a new strike is made, it may seem as though it is a random locale, but the Beast is cunning. Every stroke by her minions cuts a vital part of the enemy's defense, until nothing is between her and a cruel cut against her prey's life-blood.
Dragon Name:Galynrinn Location:The Old City Titles:The Plotter, Dragon of Man, (never to it) Weakwyrm Xorvintaal Status:Often seen as a weakling, Galynrinn (gender unknown) uses the mortal races as more than just pawns. In fact, the Plotter uses almost exclusively the weakest races on the planet, but the most ingenious and resourceful at the same time. Nothing less than the oldest city of mankind itself serves as the base of operations for the so-called 'Weakwyrm,' as it plans its next move.
Dragon Name:Aurag'syxua (Aw-Rag-Sai-Zhu-A) Location:Roaming/Unknown Titles:The Tracker, Devourer, Dragon of Famine Xorvintaal Status:Rather than making concrete plans, the Devourer roams the planet, searching for something only it knows. It destroys anything and everything it finds offensive to its mission, to which there is no visible rhyme or reason. Those who enjoy destruction, as well as those whose great mission is to search swear fealty to the Tracker.
Dragon Name:Gathar Location:The Dismal Bog Titles:Trapsmith, Forthright Liar, Dragon of the Great Trap Xorvintaal Status:No Dragon takes alliance with the Trapsmith lightly, as this creature seems to turn on its allies in an instant. After every such event, however, it is shown that the damaged party somehow offended the agreement in such a way so as to warrant their punsishment. In fact, it would appear that Gathar has never lied in recorded history, yet appears to be the most devious of the Great Dragons. Those intrigued by such a life are often drawn to him.
Dragon Name:Alaerev Androloth Location:The Shining Spire Titles:The Bright Minstrel, The New Dragon, Great Lyrist Xorvintaal Status:The newest participant of the Great Game, the Great Lyrist seems to still be a bit Naive. Sitting atop his Shining Spire for all the world to see, the Great Lyrist makes a melody so awesome in sound so as to make any listener be drawn to tears by it. Seemingly uninterested in making progress in the Game, the Newest Dragon watches in rapt fascination at everything the other Players do, and often has his followers do nothing but experience what he cannot of the world.
Dragon Name:Deszeld Location:The Storm Heights Titles:Dire Lightning, Electric Dragon, Thunderhead Xorvintaal Status: Deszeld lashes out at all who come near him, ensuring that his territory does not reduce in size. The Thunderhead does, however, lose out on many who would be his followers this way, and has a small, but veritably indestructable array of warriors behind him. Once this number has grown large enough, he may begin to send them out to expand on the Dire Lighting's territory.
Dragon Name:Thanch'quirin Location:The Day-star Titles:Celestial Eye, Living Dragon, Star of Chaos Xorvintaal Status:Appearing along with the advent of a star that is seen in the heavens by day, the Living Dragon has not yet been seen on the face of the planet. Her minions come down, somehow, from the star in the sky to take what they can, before retreating. Those places that the Celestial Eye has begun to take control over on the surface have begun to change and mutate into a landscape beyond recognition. It is unknown how one may enter her service.
Dragon Name:Valgahl Location:Wyrmstone Keep Titles:The Ancient One, Dragonking, Monarch Xorvintaal Status:Valgahl is not doing so well as he once did in the Great Game. The oldest amongst the old, Valgahl begun the descent into depravity a long time ago, leaving much of his affairs to those in his service. Few join him anymore, usually only those loyal to liege-lines of blood. Of late, however, there have been rumors about eldritch energies flowing to and from the Wyrmstone Keep... Just what can that old King be up to in there?

You work for Atarvalkkan. The name is often also spelled Atarvalkaan. No one knows which is correct...
--Atarvalkkan is, by all accounts, a Battle Dragon, one of the rare planar varieties of dragonkind (see Draconomicon). This is pretty much always agreed upon, so little discussion about the subject is heard.
--Atarvalkkan requires a personally-made item of high quality as pledge to him upon entering his service. If the followers disobeys his orders, that item is destroyed.
--While highly skilled craftsmen abound in Atarvalkkan's domain, his closest servants are in fact warriors, something that is not lost on his enemies on the battlefield.
--Atarvalkkan keeps a strict leash on the off-duty activities of his servants, preferring they do something productive when not directly under his command.
