Suddenly, with no foretelling or noise to forewarn, the door bursts open and a dwarf steps into the room, proclaimig himself before the group. "Of course not, just a bit late for the full story. And since I really don't feel like repeating the whole thing.... There is a cave system we need explored and cleared out of monsters. Pay will be negotiated as you deem upon your return from the mission. Let me know if you need any supplies for the venture." Looking around he waits for any more questions from the group.

[Just gonna make a few guesses on a roll or two.] Knowledge Dungeoneering: 17+5 = 22 Int Check: 10+3 = 13 Wis Check: 12+4 = 16
To maybe have some insight on what he may be referring to with that great eye business?
Regardless of if Dio does or doesn't know anything he simply nods: "I am ready to depart when everyone else is. What I have need of I carry on my person, I will not request pay now; should I die, there are less valuables to fill some monsters larder."

You think it might be referring to a Beholder. Thats the most likely scenario. Other possibilities are Gith (Smaller cousins to beholders), Illithids (as they refer to the leader mind as the Great Mind or Central Mind, and it might be a translation error.), Or it might be something as simple as a powerful orc that worships Grumsh and has a large banner of the God's in place somewhere (Grumsh's banner being a large single eye over the background.)

"Ah, one last thought. How large is the cavern, generally speaking? I need to know whether I can bring my horse with us or if I will be carrying my gear myself."
Assuming nothing else comes up, I should be ready to go.

Cedrich shrugs to the wizard "No it will not be a problem. Merely niceties to have seeing the company I will be keeping." Looking to Kin "I never bring trouble, I only bring ways out of trouble." He slowly scans the room. "As for leaving I would recommend leaving in the morning so that we might be rested and have time for final preparations."

to Cedrich: "That's good to hear, always nice to be prepared," While his tone is nice enough, Kin's face shows little emotion associated with it. You get the feeling that he is being sincere, he just shows little emotion in general.

"As for your horses, the main cavern is large enough for horses easily, and is probably a good place to set up hobbling for your horses, so they are out of the rain and such. Actually when you get there you will meet a contingent of the Border Patrol that was set up there to keep an eye on the entrance for us. You can leave your horses with them if you would like and they will make sure they are cared for until your return. The deeper part of the cave system is generally too small for riding." Looking around at everyone he nods. "Well since it seems you all are decided," he seems to take two of you's agreement as all "I will leave you all to make your plans and arrangements for the trip." looking at Cedrich "Your supplies will be delivered to your room by the time you leave. Oh also rooms have been supplied for the lot of you at the expense of our employer here at the Inn." With that he stands, looking around one last time for questions, before heading out of the room.

After the man leaves, assuming none of the others bring something else up, Kin waits for a brief moment before getting up from the table and making his way out of the room. As he leaves he turns his head to the others and bids them a good night, "Best get some rest, I will be up and ready near dawn, and we can make our way to the cavern once we are all ready."
[ooc] Kin is very straightforward and militant in his speech, I would have included an 0600 hours or whatnot if I thought it was a term that would be used in this "time period". [/ooc]
Kin stops by the barkeep and retrieves the key to the room that was provided for him, and then proceeds to his room. There, he goes over his gear, disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling his guns to make sure everything is in order. Once he is sure everything is in order, he checks to make sure the door and window are secure, placing something that would make a noise should they be opened from the outside. He rests his rifle on its case next to his bed, and keeps his issued pistol at hand next to his pillow. With his environment all checked out, Kin sleeps.

Angrimm listens intently to the man as he speaks about the job they are being hired for. Due to his late arrival, he waits to see if he can get a better description of what lies before them from another one of the adventurers and then he walks back out to the main part of the tavern. Inquiring as to the availability of having a bath brought up to his room, he also asks where he might obtain further provisions for the road from the barkeep. His last request is for a mug of ale and then proceeds to find his room and relax without the weight of his armor for the first time in days.

The barkeep looks at you as you ask questions of him, finally answering. "Aye, a bath can be drawn up for ya. I'll have one of the servants put some hotwater on in the bathing room down at the end of the hall." He gestures off down the hall you just came from. " As for provisions.... Well depends on what ya want really, although I figure ya to be an adventuring type so ya may want ta hit tha 'Adventure Emporium.' That place claims to have anything anyone of the adventuring ilk may need." Thinking for a moment he continues. "Although if that place ain't ta your likin, you might try the Friendly Arms for weapons, Bulwarks for armor and shields, and The Green Acre for your assorted supplies and what not. Just my recommendations. There's all sorts of shops and what not around. Most'll be closin soo though."
When you request the Ale (either after coming back or whatever) The barkeep simply grabs a mug, fills it with ale off the tap and slides it to you, not saying a word.

Cedrich watches as the party leaves making mental notes on each member. Out of habit he draws one of his daggers and checks the edge, reflexively he pulls out a stone and begins sharpening the blade as he thinks.

Dio is ready to depart already, so he will simply wait for his companions to knock on the door in his room, casually eating, sleeping, meditating, etc., to pass the time.

(Right. So, unless anyone has anything specific to do before they go to bed (PM me if you do) time is going to move forward.)
The party sleeps, meditates, etc and awakes in the morning to the dawning of the sun. At daybreak a knock is made to each of your doors, and a servant is standing there with breakfast and a note. The note says that the rest of your party is ready and the group will leave once everyone is gathered in the same room as the night before.
Cedrich, a bag is delivered with your breakfast as well. It contains all of the things you asked for except for one of the flasks.

I take a moment to sort out the food into travel-able and non-travel-able, eating the non-travel-able and packing the rest.

The trays of food consist of 2 saugsage links, 2 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of toast, some Hash browns, and a hard tack biscuit. Everything but the biscuit is "non-travel-able."
