Lorania has started fidgeting and debating going back to the roof. With Bethana fussing over Ameiko there really isn't much for her to do. With renewed vigor she answers Cale's summons and follows Beric down into the basement. "So... what're we doing this fer again?"

After agreeing that looking over the tunnel seems the most likely course of action, Malik will follow cale to the church for healing. While he is waiting, he pulls out the loaf of bread he got earlier and sniffs at it a bit. Saying a prayer over it, he will take a small bite of it, munching slightly and enjoying the flavor as they walk towards the glassworks.
As they get to the glassworks he slips the bread away, pulls his shield off his back and straps it to his arm. He then pulls his sling, loading a stone, and lets it hang limply as he takes up a position behind Cale. If room allows in the tunnel (not sure how big a tunnel it is) Freohr will walk next to Cale, with Malik directly beside Freohr.

The tunnel stays fairly narrow, only expanding to around 9-11 feet at its widest point, which leads to you mostly stay in single and sometimes double formation.
[ooc] I will go with the following marching order: Cale, Freohr, Malik, Lorania, and Beric. In double line I would move Freohr next to Cale with Lorania behind him next to Malik. This is based on player requests and personal logic. Let me know if this is a problem. [/ooc]
The tunnel winds its way in a general northeasterly direction, the path gives way to gentle curves concealing what is off in the distance but still going relatively straight. After a few minutes of careful movement through the dark tunnel two branches lead off to the left and right, while the main tunnel continues on its way. The way to the west (left branch) seems to have once been bricked over at the point that it diverges from the main tunnel.

"I say we investigate the right passage-way first. If the one was bricked over it is likely where they came in and we should investigate the other passages first." Cale waits for any differing opinions, and if he hears none, continues down the right branch.

Nodding in agreement, Malik motions for Cale to move forward.

Lorania shrugs. She takes this moment to draw her rapier, just in case, and follows the other two into the tunnel.

The eastern branch goes for about 400 feet before you run into a collapse. Malik surmises that it could lead to the river on the east side of town, if it continued as it does. There doesn't appear to be anything more down this tunnel.
Heading back down the main tunnel, it continues on its way for over 1,000 feet before coming to a dead end. The fact that there doesn't seem to be a collapse doesn't sit right, however. Cale notices a part of the wall and presses, revealing a secret door.
This door leads to a cave about 30 feet wide, the floor littered with signs of goblins. It takes no training in the wilderness to recognize the remains of goblin beds, scraps of meat, and other signs of goblins using this cave for shelter. The cave opening slopes down and leads to a narrow beach, all of which looks out into the Varisian Gulf. However, without checking around more, none of you are sure exactly where you are, just that this tunnel has led you out of Sandpoint, north of town.

Your group moves back down the tunnel to where the corridors branched off. Moving past the remains of the wall, you head down the corridors as it moves west. after about 50 feet it turns and moves north. After another 100 feet, you start to notice further branching off to the right. First one side passage, followed shortly by another after a few feet.

(Ok, not sure why you moved us back down the corridor without some kind of input from us.... And for the light, I don't know. I guess I can carry it, but I think Beric had it last.)
Following Cale he looks back towards the goblin encamptment a few times as it disappears into the distance behind them. Shaking his head at a few ideas he keeps following. "You guys don't think there was any way to make that door open only from the inside do you? I'd hate for more goblins to come in that way at our backs..."

The light is currently attached to a belt-loop at Beric's side, leaving his hands free to work his longbow.
He turns to Cale and responds, "I'd imagine not, but we should be able to take care of them if the matter arises. Let's continue on, this place is larger than I had imagined."
Here says this as they approach the first side passage, calling ahead to the others, "Let's explore this first one so that we don't have to double back."

As you approach the passage on the right, a horribly deformed humanoid, hairless and emaciated, lurches out of the shadows. Its unnaturally long arms end in three-fingered talons, and its legs bend like those of a dog. A writhing network of bulging veins form dark blue patterns across its pallid skin. But worst of all is its faceāits nose is little more than a pair of slits, and its eyes are bulging and red. The lower jaw splits in half at the chin into two wretched arms that end in tiny three-fingered hands to either side of an open gullet with a lolling tongue. It steps out from the darkness and slashes at Cale, its claws easily slashing at the unsuspecting man. Cale takes 2 damage. | Initiative Lorania Malik Creature Beric Cale |

Lorania runs forward to aid Cale, "Sonofa- Cale! It's a Sinspawn!" She sneers at the creature and stabs for it with her rapier. (18+2= 20 to hit, 7+2= 9 confirmation, 1+2= 3 damage)

The creature screeches with anger as Lorania's rapier pierces its skin, if you can call it that. It then strikes out at the source of its assault, managing to make one solid strike. Lorania manages to avoid its second claw and narrowly avoids the creature's jaws. Lorania takes 2 damage from the Sinspawn's claw. [ooc] Beric has decided that he needed the hand free to use his bow, Malik is carrying the torch that is providing the light. [/ooc] | Initiative: ->Malik Beric Cale Lorania Sinspawn |

Cale takes a swift swing with his bastard sword while grunting out in mid-swing: "A Sinspawn, fantastic, does that mean anything important like it-hrgh!-can't die?!"

Malik continues to delay, unable to close the distance to hit the creature, even were his hands free to do so.
