Davroar raises an eyebrow at the others for scolding him, asking in return, "I do not call mindless obediance loyalty, nay, I say that you are nothing more than pawns to be thrown out once this is all said and done if you do not maintain some sort of say in these matters. A security risk, Kannod, you mock me. This place was built using as much my platinum as the Nightmare Lord's himself. Without my coin, the Dream Syndicate would not be half so powerful that it is. I give you business reports on the wealth that I tithe to this syndicate and you reply with your elbow. What do you offer that we could not purchase readily on the street? Mindless assassins are not difficult to come by, you know. Those who can turn one gold into a thousand, however..."

Kannod grins and says, "What do I offer? I'm someone who can notice when a high-ranking officer is hesitant at tests of loyalty, keeps careful track of what he thinks he is owed, feels like he deserves his free will, and, most importantly, threatens to discard the loyal servants, excuse me, pawns of the Nightmare Lord. Very sketchy. But I'm clearly a dime a dozen. What do I know? Sorry, Morpheus, apparently you made the wrong guy head of security."
Kannod sharply turns to Muertos and says, "And I hardly consider this a fight. I have to attack him and he has to stand a chance against me for it to be a fight. All he has done is expose his insubordinance and insult me. Petty is right."
Kannod returns to slightly-blood-drained sit-ups.

Morpheus remains still, with his usual almost grin sitting happily on his face. When Kannod is finished talking, the Nightmare Lord speaks up. "Enough, gentlemen. You are all here for a reason, do not doubt that. I would not have surrounded myself with creatures as powerful as yourselves if I thought anyone disloyal. I collect the blood for my own reasons, if Davroar wants to refuse his donation that is his choice. I would like to speak to him after the meeting though." Your lord's face and tone are masked perfectly, making it impossible as to what his intent for this extracurricular meeting will be about. "Now that I have everyone's consent, I have a gift for you all." The quasit floats around and collects all the vials. He is then handed a beautiful little ornate box. As he opens it, each of you can see several small charms inside. The impish creatures passes them out, one to each of you. The charms are all identical. A gorgeous sapphire in the shape of an eye. The top and bottom are silver of the highest quality and a star of silver is outlined somewhere within the sapphire. "These are my gift to all of you. They possess the ability to open or close doors and lids and more importantly can open any door in the top floor of the stronghold. You, my awakened, are the only ones who have this access. All others are restricted to necessary areas only. It also allows you to levitate for a short time once per day. Do not worry, they will not interfere with your other magical items. Guard them carefully." He then takes out a map of the city and lays it on the table after clearing away anything not being used. The map has labels of all the factions and in what quadrant they are in. "Here is where I would like your powerful minds to work against our enemies and not against each other. I need this city to fight itself. I need to take the spot light off of us so that our activities will go unnoticed long enough for my other plans to go through. Start coming up with ways to make this city and its factions fight themselves. I want to hear no fighting between yourselves or you will feel my wrath, understand. Now, let us create start war."
[ooc] Nick I will have the specifics to you on the charms I just passed out soon. I also want to know if I need to post info about the other factions or if you will do that.
About the doors, I have improved arcane locked every door on the top floor so that they will only open for certain charms and myself. Your charms will open any door except any other person's private chambers and my own. Servant's are given charms that only open certain doors and they only have them on loan. [ooc] [ooc]

Vice takes his charm and places it in a bag. "You wish us to start a war between them? Hmm. I am not the stealthiest individual, but I suppose a string of horrific murders on both sides of two factions already struggling against another would coax them into action against eachother. My presence is one that is unmistakable; however, and I am unsuited for the more subtle acts you demand. I am your knight and shall go as directed, but remember that I undeniably bear your presence with me wherever I go." Vice bows slightly, but remains standing in the room, waiting to hear if there are more specific instructions for him and if others have ideas to which he'd be better suited. He will go as the Nightmare Lord directs, and if another requests Vice's services for a good idea, he will go if the Nightmare Lord condones it.

"It is simply... Vice. If you locate one you wish slain, my wings of darkness can deliver unto them the Grim Harvest. My lord, if you spread rumors that I have left your service and entered into that of another, I can wreak havoc and they shall take the blame. If you all aid in disguising me, the deception would be near-complete. Afterwards I could remain hidden here where none could locate me until you have need of me again." Vice pauses... "To fully complete the deception, you would have to be willing to lose followers. If I am to slay all I encounter indiscriminately, should our organization be spared entirely, the ruse would be discoverable."

[ooc] I can post the info. [/ooc]
The Nightmare Lord shares with you all the following info, which is the sum of the knowledge of the factions in the city. Keep in mind that this is the culmination of all the knowledge and gather checks that I had you make before. All of that knowledge was then passed onto the Nightmare Lord, to create the following Information base.
NorthWest Quadrant Sapphire Hierarch: Everyone in the Northwest Quadrant has been brought under the laws and regulations of an order of Priests, calling themselves the Sapphire Hierarch. They are a very lawfully aligned organization, following a very strict set of Laws that govern the entire northeast sector, enforced by a large number of people who have dedicated themselves to the Sapphire Hierarch. The order is controlled by a group of 4 people, called the Lord Hierarchs. Directly under them are 12 Sapphire Hierarchs, taking their title from the name of the organization. Under them are a large number (Somewhere in the number of 50) of Acolytes; Clerics, Favored Souls, Incarnates, and Soulborns who been intiated into the orders higher ranks, in recognition of ther ability to shape the divine power of Law through divine spellcasting or meldshaping. Under them are any number of Initiates; Monks, Lawful fighters, Lawful Wizards, and other such characters who have agreed to follow the Orders tenants, and to uphold their rules.
Lord Hierarchs: North: Ellphisad: LN Azurin Female. Reputation as Kind and Generous. Believes that all can be convinced of the right of the orders precepts given the right argument. Can be very Naive sometimes.
South: Gethsered: LN Human Male. Reputation as Heartless. Believes that the orders Ideals should be forced upon those who choose to believe otherwise by force.
East: Merolid: LN Azurin Male. Reputation as a strict follower of the Law. While not precisely heartless, as Gethsered, he follows the letter of the law to a T everytime. Does not believe in imposing their beliefs on others, but believes their Laws apply to all who would break them.
West: Limiloner: LN Human Male. Reputation as the most flexible of the leaders of the Order. While he always follows the Law, he often times interprets it in ways the others might not.
Hierarchs: Horas: LN Human Male. (South) Horas is the longest standing Hierarch, and as such is next in line for a position as a Lord Hierarch, should one become available. It is said he is anxious to hold his power, and some claim – though very very quietly – that he is plotting to get it sooner than he should.
Morlyn: LN Azurin Male. (East) Morlyn is just behind Horas in Seniority, some even arguing that for him as the next Lord Hierarch instead of Horas, as their raising were only a day apart. But the strict guidelines of the Order clearly hold Horas as the next in line.)
Forlan: LN Azurin Male. (West) Forlan is very Logical in all his thought. He thinks out how the law was meant to be written and acts based on how he believes the writers of the law intended it, rather than the actual wording of the Law. Some believe this to be a flaw, others an advantage, but regardless he has risen throught he ranks, and is only 3rd in line for a seat of power, should something happen to his superiors.
Marie: LN Human Female. (North) Marie is the first Human female to make the rank of Hierarch, not because of any inherent prejudice against women among the order, but simply because few women to this point have shown the potential. In recent years more and more women have begun showing the potential as initiates, and even Hierarchs, should they follow the right paths.
Amalia: LN Azurin Female. (South) Amalia is a very stonehearted woman. She has little pity in her heart, and is generally forseen as the one to send the most heart wrenching prisoners to for punishment, as she seems to even possibly derive some sort of pleasure from the punishing of the guilty.
Jilmar: LN Human Male. (East) Jilmar is a very upstanding member of the order. He follows orders well, gives order well, and is an excellent tactician. His superiors see him going far in the organization, and most foresee him as an outstanding future candidate for Lord Hierarch.
Hanna: LN Azurin Female. (West) Hanna is a quickly rising star in the order, well known for her ability to uphold the law, but still do right. She has, on numerous occasions, helped keep an innocent man from being punished by locating the evidence needed to clear him. Her methods are secretive though, as no one seems to know how she finds out the things she knows.
Dieter: LN Azurin Male. (North) Dieter is, in every representation of the word, ordinary. How he achieved the rank of Sapphire Hierarch, is anyone guess. He does have the talent, but he has no drive. He follows the law, and upholds it, but with no passion for the task. Most don’t believe he will make It much further in the order.
Ludwig: LN Human Male. (South) Ludwig is a very aggressive man, sharing tendencies with his direct superior, Gethsered, to be over zealous and even downright brutal at times in his upholding of the law.
Irene: LN Human Female. (East) Irene was raised 2 months before Tolman, but was actually one of the youngest members ever to attain the rank. She became a Hierarch on her 18th birthday, and some of the others resent her for it. As it stands, she isn’t even 20 years yet, but, as the Order is entirely based on seniority of its members, she is still above Tolman and Ulrich.
Tolman: LN Human Male. (West) Tolman was raised a scant 6 Months before Ulrich, and only 2 months after Irene. They are the three newest, however Tolman is, oddly, one of the older of the Hierarchs, not having attained the rank as early as most others who wear the title. His abilities seem to overshadow his fellow newer initiates, and seem more in line with those several rungs up the pecking order.
Ulrich: LN Human Male. (North) Ulrich is the newest of the Hierarchs, Freshly raised but a year ago.
Other Notables:
Garim Ovbek: NG Human Male. Best weapon and Armor Smith in the entire city, or so the rumors claim. Those who want truly great weapons come to him, from any part of the city, although those of evil persuasions must take care to keep their identities (And their alignments) hidden.
Maria Jelcar: LG Human Female. Little is known about her, except that she is some form of Mage hunter. She works for the Sapphire Hierarch, although she has been known to hire out to others. Very little beyond that is known.
Minsc Halbaerk: LG Human Male. Minsc is a well known bounty hunter in the Northwest district. He oftens ranges to other districts to bring back those who have broken the laws of the northwest and have been deemed dangerous enough to need to be brought in for trial. It is said he has never failed to bring back a mark once he has accepted the contract.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SouthEast Quadrant The Hands of God:
The Hands of God are the main organization that controls the south east quadrant, although controls is a very loose term. The citizens defer to the members of the Hands, and they have jurisdiction whereever their members are found. They are more like magistrates. The smaller organizations all have their own laws, but when something needs mediated, or someone needs to be tried for crimes, the Hands of God are contacted to bring forth Judge, Jury, and, if needed, executioner. In essence, they control the quadrant, although not in name. They are governed by a panel of members, the 5 Fingers of the Hand. It is not common for a meeting of the Fingers to be called, but when it is, it is not called lightly, and the consequences are generally fairly bad.
Mialee Hernod: NG Human Female. Mialee has a reputation as the most kind hearted of people. She will heal any wound, regardless of whether the patient is able to pay anything at all. Indeed she rarely charges money for her services, instead relying only on the charity of her patients.
Peyron Bishtar: NG Human Male. Peyron is a Samurai descended from a long line of Samurai. He fights with honor at all times, and never strikes an enemy unawares. During battle he can always be found at the forefront, whielding his Daiso and laying waste to any that oppose the well being of others.
Lopar Yevon: NG Human Female. Lopar is a tactical genius. She is truly one of the great generals of an age. In less time than it takes most people to grasp the basics of a situation, she has already analyzed the situation, ran the possible scenarios through her head, and come up with the best course of action. Her confidence and courage are an inspiring sight for her allies.
Gelrod Shilar: NG Human Male. Gelrod is a bit of a secretive man. He rarely talks, and when he does it is in a quiet, restrained voice. His mental powers have rarely been matched, and his mastery of them is well known.
Byrin Septin: NG Human Male. Byrin is an odd man. He is flashy and cocky, almost to the point of recklessness. He claims to be able to infiltrate anywhere, and learn any needed information. When he does not wish to be seen, he rarely is, usually popping up in the least expected places at the least expected times. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``
SouthWest Quadrant The Fist of Darkness:
Influence: So far the Fist of Darkness have not spread their influence outside of the southwest sector, mostly because of the chaos that already exists and holds their attention in their quadrant.
Meeting place: Mortaal the Insane has had a 100 foot high tower built as his residence, but is rarely actually in residence. Any meetings that might happen are presumed to take place there.
Mortaal The Insane: CE Human Male. Mortaal is, to put it nicely, out of his right mind…or rather, out of his right minds might be more appropriate. He worships the demon prince Demogorgon, and as such sows anarchy at his every move. He is the leader of the Fist of Darkness, in so far as the other members of the order follow his lead out of fear and the thought that he is a direct conduit to their dark Lord. The entire organization is nothing more than an anarchic group following the teachings of Demogorgon. They commonly burn, kill, rape, and destroy at a whim. Further information about the members of this organization is not forthcoming, as it is nearly impossible to keep track of currently surviving members, their names, or any thing else in such a highly disorganized group. The Sons of Anarchy look like law abiding citizens in comparison.
The Sons of Anarchy:
The Sons of Anarchy are a disarrayed group at best. They have no real leadership, as best could be determined. They act more like a loosely allied group of individuals than as a single coherent group, held together by the distant ties among the groups more prominent members. Their meetings can take place anywhere, and can range anywhere from 2 people getting together to talk about a good place to steal something from, to a large group of people forming a mob to riot against someone they have determined to hate. A few of the more prominent figures (And by prominent, read: ‘powerful’) among the organization follows.
Influence: The Sons of Anarchy have so far contained their influence to the Southwest Quadrant, trying to put down the Fist of Darkness and solidify their control (or lack there of) of the quadrant.
Meeting place: There is no single meeting place for this group, although the brothers Trather frequent a tavern called The Realm of Chaos near the center of the quadrant.
Cedrich Trather: CE Human Male. The older of a pair of brothers, Cedrich is a thoroughly evil man, chaotic to the core, and quite mad. He is well known for throwing random balls of eldritch energy into structures at random, simply to hear the screams of the people inside as the eldritch fire sears their flesh from their bones. His only controlling factor is his brother, William, whom he listens to as faithfully as a well trained dog.
William Trather: CN Human Male. William is the younger of the brothers Trather, but by far the more intelligent one, not to mention Sane. He is conniving and manipulative. He has quite the reputation for wheeling and dealing in everything and anything that brings him pleasure. While not Evil, in so far as his brother is, he has no moral compunction to keep him from hurting or killing those who are in the way of his pleasures. He is the only safety block on his brother Cedrich’s madness, and often uses that as an influencing force against those who know of his brother.
Milicent Raelock: CN Human Female. Milicent, a cousin to the Trather brothers, is almost as conniving as her cousin William, and twice as manipulative. She twists the minds of those she meets to do as she says, thereby getting whatever pleasure she wants at the time. She also is known as one of the most beautiful women in the city, although many perpetrate that she started this rumor herself. She has a tendency to kill those whom she finds spreading word of that particular rumor.
Yondalla Raelock: CN Human Female. Yondalla, a cousin to Milicent, is an expert tracker and bounty hunter. Bounty being the operative word. She does nothing without recompense of some sort, preferably in cash, although she has been known to take IOU’s from powerful sources. She is very good at her job, although she tends to be better at the dead part of “dead or alive” than anything else.
Johan Trather: CN Human Male. Johan, a young cousin to the Trather brothers, is a deadly shot with his bow, a giant of a thing that is taller than an average person is. Many a person has tried to pull his bow back on a dare, only to find they are unable to even draw it back, much less fire it accurately. He also is a giant, standing 6’10” tall, and weighing a hefty 280lbs. However he is spryer than many people half his size, always surprising people with his swiftness. Many supposedly tough people have quailed when presented with the sight of an arrow, fletchings drawn to cheek, nocked on his bowstring and pointed in their direction.
Thadius Harper: CN Human Male. Thadius is a bit of an anomaly. He is not related to anyone in the order, however he has carved a place for himself in the order by simple fear alone. Not many people will match strengths with someone in fullplate who wields the might of arcane magic. That alone has garnered him enough respect to be allowed a voice. He is often a quiet person, but once he has made up his mind about something, he is mule stubborn and nigh impossible to convince of another course of action.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NorthEast Quadrant Dream Syndicate: You Guys. lol
Night Masks:
The Night masks are a secretive organization that thrive on the ideals of thievery, trickery, and deception. This is very much evidenced by their leader, Aamira, who has had so many rumors spread about with descriptions of herself that it is impossible to know truth from fantasy. They are very highly organized though, and even the lowest members know better than to talk of the secrets of the group. Many die mysterious deaths when they are captured, further examination revealing no reason for their death. One thing is for certain though. They are very much a credible threat to any who underestimate them.
Influence: The night masks influence spreads across the entire northeast quadrant, not limited by boundries of the two other main groups power, at least not as of yet. Because they have no central lair to strike at, or a core devout followers, they are a hard organization to pin down. Some even claim to have noticed their influence in other quadrants of the city.
Meeting place: Unknown. It is assumed to be the home of Aamira, but as no one seems to be able to locate her, the meeting place for any that do take place, is as yet unknown.
Aamira: Very little is know about Aamira, as no one seems to know any solid details. She is the leader of the Night Masks, and any order that comes from no high, is said to have been passed from her. However, everyone questioned has a different description of her. Some tell her to be a fire-haired woman of unparalleled beauty, others say she is naught but a mere child and used as a figure head. Others still say she is a fierce warrior that kill all who talk about her. And even others say she is a wizard of unmatched power, a genius in the arcane arts. The only common thread among all stories is that there are no common threads, besides the fact that all tongues say she is, indeed, a she.
Yondalla Mereana: NE Human Female. Yondalla is one of the more prominent members of the order, apparently only Aamira is above her. She is a very talented Arcanist, seemingly fearless and able to strike fear into the hearts of men at every turn. Few stay near her for long, for fear that her deadly powers will be turned against them, and few cross her more than once, if for no other reason than they are usually dead.
Thelmeara: NE Human Female. Thelmeara is very openly a follower of the Demon Prince Mephistopheles, and as such upholds his teachings as the true teachings. She wields the deadly power of Hellfire, as granted to her by her Lord, and is very quick to use it, fire her preferred weapon of choice. Why she works for the group is unknown, but once again, only Aamira appears to be above her.
Gialdi Freld: CN Human Male. Gialdi is a mystery in the extreme. He is well known for disappearing from sight, while others swear he never left. Many people swear that odd things only happen while he is around. People climb up on roofs and jump off, friends attack each other for no reason, and other equally odd things. Never is he implicated, but too many mouths claim to have noticed him for it to be coincidence.
Helga Freld: CN Human Female. Helga is Gialdi’s wife, and is equally mysterious as him. They are often seen together, and seen to disappear together. Although less frequently than her husband, she has odd happenings attributed to her as well.
Dalton: CN Human Male. Dalton is said to be the head of the organizations thieving empire. If it needs stolen, it is said he organizes it. If its really important, he does it himself. He always seems to slip away at the last possible second, his identity confirmed, but no one has ever been able to catch him.
Harbingers of Death: (Judges)
The Harbingers of Death are a very organized group, led by a man by the name of Hurian Gondal, they talk about uniting everyone under his rule, and will destroy anything that gets in their way. Cruel is a word that very commonly is used to describe them, and is appropriate. While they have their own form of Laws, very often they are twisted and corrupted to fit the needs of the group, although never broken. They rule through fear and intimidation more than anything else, although raw power is quite the deciding factor against those that contemplate attacking them. The organizations leading ranks are a group of people designated by the title of Judge, with Hurian being the Judge Magister. Most insist on being called by their full title.
Influence: The entire Northeast corner of the city, half a mile on each side, has been walled in. No one is allowed within 20 feet of the walls, except at the gates, and all buildings up to 20 feet from the walls have been cleared away. All who live within those walls are subject to their commands. The area is known commonly as ‘The Fortress’. They constantly try to impose their laws on the surrounding area, seeking to extend their influence, but so far the walls have been the extent that they have been able to claim.
Meeting Place: the main complex is a sprawling Palace several hundred feet long that sits in the very northeast corner. Its central point is the Tower of Death, most commonly refered to as just ‘The Tower’, the top floor of which is where the Judge Magister holds his quarters and his office.
Judge Magister Hurian Gondal: LE Human Male. Hurian is the leader of the organization, and is ruthlessly effective in his use of fear and intimidation to get what he wants. The death penalty is the penalty for the breaking of most every crime…and IS the penalty for any crime that manages to need his personal attention, if for no reason than he gets angry at the wasting of his time. Many have attempted to assassinate the man, only to fail in the attempt. Some believe he is immortal and cannot be killed, inspiring even more people to fear of the man.
Judge Molart Ruthel: LE Human Male. Molart is Hurian’s right hand man and is just as ruthless. He is Hurian’s closest confidant and adviser. Fortunately, his temper is in much better check than Hurian’s, and fewer deaths are at his hand for this reason. Even if only slightly fewer.
Judge Tilmar Reldan: LE Human Male. If Molart is the right hand, then Tilmar is the left, and is very often the enforcer sent out to carry out Hurian’s commands. As such he is one of the most well known of the Judges, and the most feared, even above Hurian. If one is to come before Hurian, one’s fate is sealed and one can take solace in that…..If one sees Judge Reldan coming…those lucky ones wish for the swift stroke of Hurian’s blade, as the slow painful ‘questionings’ that inevitably result in a confession, followed by the tortuous death of hanging, are general thought of as a much worse way to die. He is known, behind his back, as The Questioner.
Judge Rita Mefy: LE Human Female. Rita is the organizations tactical advisor. Having served for many years in the main combat infantry of the organization, before making her way to a captain in the Infantry, before finally attaining the rank of Judge, she has seen more combat than the rest of the Judges, and therefore is most well trained to supervise the placing of ground troops, should an attack take place.
Judge Brent Irwin: LE Human Male. Brent is a fairly mild mannered fellow most of the time. Calm, level headed, and fairly intelligent, he is most often the mediator in heated situations. The only time anyone has every managed to not receive the death penalty in Hurian’s presence was when Judge Irwin was there, mediating the Judge Magisters fury…although those people may not have appreciated the ‘help’ as those that manage to survive Hurian’s presence are generally given to the Questioner.
Judges Carner, Behrman, Reinhard, Eckhard, and Claus are the the managers of the five divisions of the Units of the Infantry.
Judge Randi Carner: LE Human Male. Randi is in command of the Guard compliment on the main complex, a sprawling building several hundred feet long that sits in the very northeast corner. Its central point is the Tower of Death, most commonly refered to as just ‘The Tower’, the top floor of which is where the Judge Magister holds his quarters and his office.
Judge Chester Behrman: LE Human Male. Chester is in command of the Guards assigned to the walls surrounding the main compound, instructed to keep any out who do not come through the gates and properly register.
Judge Alberich Reinhard: LE Human Male. Alberich is in command of the Infantry that are sent to quash any resistance in their own area, and also sent to reinforce any of the other contingents that might need help. They are essentially the reserve forces, put where needed.
Judge Friedrich Eckhard: LE Human Male. Friedrich is in command of the Special forces, those specialists sent to other areas of the quadrant, or even other quadrants, for special missions.
Judge Stehmar Claus: LE Human Male. Stehmar is in command of the forces tasked with exerting influence over the areas immediately surrounding the Fortress. Many of the higher ups therefore blame him for the organizations inability to quash the Dream Syndicate, and other resistance.

[ooc]Also, Time to work on the map seems to escape me, due to its complexity. Therefore I probably won't be posting one. My apologies, but it shouldn't hamper things too much. I know where everything is, and will do my best to convey it to the best detail.[/ooc]
In the very center of the city is a massive, solid black, tower. The tower is 60 feet in diameter and reaches from the ground, up into the sky as far as the eye can see. There is a Courtyard that surrounds the tower out to make 120 foot diameter circle in the center of the city, around the tower. This square is generally called Traders Circle, for it is here that the traders who make their way into the city set up shop on the days they are in town.
The city is divided into 4 quadrants by 4 roads that come into town. North, south, East, and West, and they all meet at the center of the city, in Traders Circle. The roads are straight as an arrow, from the walls of the city to Traders Circle. The roads are 40 feet wide.
