I've had most of the materials for a second round of Endless Night ready to go for a bit now, but didn't have a regular enough schedule to think about running it until now. This time around will have more than just undead, and more than one dungeon. Enemies will come in waves, with breaks at certain points, and each dungeon will end with a 'boss monster'. Other than that it'll work about the same. Post if you're interested, and don't forget to vote on an update schedule. Also, I think I figured out how to do tables, so I might use them to organize the regular XP awards. Name | XP | Action | *everyone* | 300 | 1 kill | Fharlanghn | 100 100 | Scouting Found Loot | Kord | 100 100 100 | Move to flank Killing blow One-shot | Pelor | 100 | Healing |

Your experience system worked alright at first, but I definitely noticed a disparity once we started gaining more levels. Because the amount of experience gained does not change, but the amount needed to level increases with each level gained, you get problems. This probably wouldn't be an issue if all enemies throughout the entire game were the same CR, or used proportionally less of our resources, but they don't.
To explain, and this is an exaggeration: say we start at 3rd level, and therefore it takes 10 enemies to level under the current circumstances. Say that those 10 enemies each use up 1/10th of our resources. Of course, when we level up, the enemies would get more powerful to match, increasing in CR to match our level. At the next level, if those enemies use up 1/10th of our resources, we would come up short.
I think a proper solution would be to use something more similar to the proper system of experience from d&d. Experience gained should be a factor of the challenge of the enemies as well as our level. At the very least, a factor of one or the other (either xp is determined by character level, or by enemy CR) or some other way to prevent us from succumbing to simple loss of resources.

I remember. Don't worry, I'm having XP scale with the challenges now.

This looks interesting, I assume this is 3.5 like your last game?

Can we play Pathfinder rather than 3.5?

If the majority wishes, I could do pathfinder instead of 3.5

I personally would prefer to stick to 3.5 (not sure what everyones sudden fascination with pathfinder is... -shrugs-), but I guess whatever the majority wants. If we go with pathfinder, not sure what I will play. Otherwise, I'll probably just go with the same character I had before, the Dwarven Knight.

Personally, I like the base classes in Pathfinder a lot better, although I still have a few character concepts I would like to try from 3.5.
What level are we going to start at?

From what I've heard, Pathfinder is designed to be balanced with the 3.5 supplemental material. I think you should be able to play your knight. I think I'll try paladin or monk on this one.

Starting level is 3. Those that survive all the way to the end are guaranteed to be at least level 17 by the time they finish, though.

More than likely, I will be messing around with a Halfling Master Thrower/Bloodstorm Blade.

Okay, so it looks like this one's going to be 3 people at the start, and updating 5 days a week. You can go ahead and start working on characters, and I'll try to get some info up by next week.
Also, I'm not 100% clear on if Mesavan voted for 3.5 or Pathfinder.

So, Pathfinder material only then? Can you give us a quick idea of stats and gold? Will we have the opportunity to purchase things between each dungeon?

-shrugs- alright I guess.... Let me know what you decide for a class Mesavan. If you're running a Pally in a Tank setup, no need for me to run a tank (And not sure I want to anyway, too much I don't know about how the 3.5 Supplemental material might or might not interact with the pathfinder stuff). I'll look around the pathfinder material later tonight and try to settle on a class. From the sounds of things (Mesavan=Pally/monk, Communism=Thrower), we could probably use a cleric to get through this.
Deej, is this still undead based I assume?
