Lost again in her thoughts, Helbi walks slowly out of the hall, still clutching the patterned case to her chest.
Her mind clouded, Helbi does not even notice the small group that perks up at her approach.
Waiting patiently is Kalem along with many Homunculi, as she passes the smaller creatures begin to gather around her, but she does not seem to notice. Kalem speaks up "My lady Helbi? Did everything go as expected?" the Warforged seems concerned by his mistress's distraction.
Looking up, Helbi seems to notice her surroundings again at last. "Ahh, Kalem, things went well. It seems I am Exarch 15 of Lord Atarvalkkan, would you like to go see the smiths? they may treat us for my position." She smiles meekly, trying to be cheerful.
"Yes m'lady, it may be interesting to compare our works." the subtle nuances of the conversation seem to be lost on Kalem as he seems to be quickly reassured that everything is alright (either that or he is trying to remain cheerful to clear her of her fog).
Helbi turns one last time to look back upon the hall as the small group begins to head away. As she turns, Taela takes flight back into the hall, but quickly returns. Helbi falters for a moment but then quickly recovers and moves forward with new focus...

Striding forward confidently, he lifts a finely crafted longsword by its handle and brings it high into the air. Once in better light it can be seen that it is actually an Elven ThinBlade, much thinner than a standard longsword and more suited to quick jabs and slashes. Smiling he flicks it through the air a few times before sliding it smoothly into the sheath on his back. "Glad to have you back old friend." He mutters under his breath. Turning he moves over to Paar and One. With a nod and a snap of his heels he salutes smartly, dropping it quickly. "Brothers. Good to meet you both. If you have need of me just send word. I will be close, probably in my old quarters." If anything else is said he will respond, otherwise he snaps another quick salute "Until next we meet." Turns sharply on his heel and leaves the room, heading down to the main crafters area.

Sarock watches as most of the group begins to leave. He takes a moment to look over his great sword and after he is satisfied, he put it away and makes his way over to First and Paar. "Comrades, my blade is eager to further the cause of our lord. I await a chance to satisfy it." With that he slams his fist into his chest in salute and heads out into the citadel. He first head to the mess hall to have a meal fit for an exarch. After that he travels from smith to smith learning what his new rank will provide for him.

[Group] As you look around the 'Citadel,' you find that this town is anything but a stone-walled, solemn fortress. In fact, it bustles with life; everything from cheery-faced coopers to a hot tempered swordsman meet your path. As you pass many places, you catch a scent on the air that tells you what awaits inside, be it a turkey pie in the baker's oven or the smell of heated metal in a forge. It does not take long to find the smithies you seek, as anyone you ask will gladly tell you the name of whomever it is they patron with their needs. The forges do not seem to be grouped together, as some of you may have thought, but all share some commonalities. First of all, they are crowded. Not just a few adventurers, either. Each of these forges must have at least one, even two dozen smiths working at them. There is very obviously one in charge though. As you approach, a way is cleared for you through those waiting for goods they need, and you are shown to the Master in charge of the individual forge. They each explain the advantages of their own smithing style, and ask that you grace them with your patronage for all you might need. They also extend an offer to re-forge any appropriate equipment you might already have, to add their signature traits to it (no fee).
The smiths you are quickly pointed to are as follows (there are hundreds of smiths in the city, but these seems to be the highest-quality work):
Lockheed and Sons -Master Smith is a burly dwarven man named Lockheed -makes sturdy equipment that emits electrical sparks when moved quickly (charging bonus)
Klangannon -Master Smith is a human man who prefers to be called 'Smith' -makes lightweight, flexible equipment
Grizzly Forge -Master Smith is a female Efreet called Esmel -makes equipment in high-heat, allowing it resistance to such as well as increased utility against those who rely on cold
Woejack's -Master Smith is a medium-sized goblinoid of some sort, called Skree -makes equipment that curses the opponent, causing them more harm
Samantha and Yelvin's -Master Smith is a female with feathered wings named Samantha, her assistant (and obviously next best smith avaliable) is her brother Yelvin, who has slightly different-looking feathered wings -makes bright, shining equipment that assists in holding one's ground
[OOC] All of these smiths can alter metal items to fit their template abilities, non-metal items will have to be approved by me on a case-by-case basis. Please PM/IM me with any questions, and PM me a list of equipment you would like altered. I will let you know what bonuses they gain, as it will vary slightly depending on the exact circumstances. None of the bonuses are particularly large, so don't stress out over it if you don't want them messing with your stuff. If you would like to interact with any of the smiths RP-wise, please do so on-thread, as they are in public areas and other exarchs could easily join the conversation. Other than that, feel free to continue to do whatever else you would like in the game, I will just allow a bit of time for this to process before moving the story ahead.

Arcades proceeds into the Woejack's forge and looks about, seeing the state the armor available is in [OOC]I've been informed that it is ruddy and stained with various ichors and the like[/OOC] seeks to speak with the Goblinoid in charge 'Skree', although his lack of haste is obvious and his patience seems unending. When Skree is available, Arcades speaks to him quietly and calmly although his voice still carries strongly across as though perfectly 'pitched' to reach Skree's ears in particular: "I see your abilities for reforging armor share a similar tendency towards my armor's function. Have you ever seen this particular make of equipment? It is is known as Judge Armor, it is my badge of office and as such it is of incredible value... also as such, you are unlikely to see its equal as Judges zealously guard their armor and it is only found, one can hope, on a Judge's person. This particular suit is my 'Thorn Plate', the intent behind it being obvious..." as Arcades points to the intricate spike formations adorning the armor and also gestures to the latent energy residing in it that seems only to await the right moment to spring forth [OOC]From Radiant, Spiked, and Retaliation[/OOC].
After giving Skree a few moments to gaze upon the armor, Arcades continues speaking, "...As such I've heard and from what I can see, confirm, that your unique talents are ideal for the purpose this armor serves. However, there is the matter of appearance, I am a Judge Master, now the Ninth Exarch of Atarvalkaan and as such, this stained appearance is... not suitable..." he words delicately, "for my needs. Now, I can assure you openly that your forge is the one that has peaked my interest, to such an extent that the others are merely an afterthought and their own talents that I've heard of are ah... not what I had in mind to the degree that I might simply forgo such reforging until such a time as your talents were 'available'. This brings me to the heart of the matter (insert title Skree is called by in the forge) Skree, I would value your services if you can value the necessity of appearance that I must maintain as a Judge-Master. Also this is, unless I am much mistaken, one of the single greatest opportunities for an armor smith imaginable: the chance to work with the infamous and supremely rare Judge Armor. So tell me Skree, do I have your interest? Oh, and need I mention,..." he removes the large great axe from his back carefully as to not damage the shop or to strike anything before setting it upright before him, holding it steady with disturbing ease despite it's immense size, "I would be interested to hear if you could improve on my 'Bravura' here, same standards of appearance still present."
At this, Judge Arcades simply waits patiently, the soft glow cast off by Bravura causing his armor to glimmer slightly and he seems intent to wait once more. It is, after all, the same tenacity and enduring patience that one sees in the law itself.
[OOC]Diplomacy 10+15 = 25 Sense Motive 11+19 = 30 (it can be assumed Skree feels as though he is being examined and 'measured' as the daunting presence of a Judge Master makes no efforts to hide such things and indeed others have no way of knowing for sure based on the hidden faces and masked voices of a Judge and likely assume a Judge is scrutinizing them at all times anyways)
He (Arcades) is looking for something more vivid and ornate, example: instead of ruddy brown stains as if from blood or potions, his armor is instead a metallic crimson all-throughout (although he'd object to losing the silver traceries and 'edgings' in the armor) resulting in a metallic silver/crimson coloration (fuck IU, it's still a good color scheme though). Also, what are the colors of Atarvalkaan? Arcades might be interested in wearing those if possible. Other than that, not sure what else to mention aside from Arcades implications that he might be able to aid the Goblinoid in multiple ways as well as his open offer of singular patronage provided that Skree can achieve the aims of Arcades as far as armor, to the extent of even willing to aid Skree in developing new techniques (as so far Arcades seems pleased in what Skree has to offer, from what I've been told by Dave) to apply in future reforging (not sure if it's possible, just an idea that one could help their chosen 'forge' and gain additional benefits, sorta like getting "Forge EXP" that they'd of course gain more of more quickly for favoring a singular forge, god I'm coming up with stuff for games that aren't even mine!!)[/OOC]

Skree's voice almost hissess out of his(?) mouth as the cowled form speaks, "I ssee what you sspeak of, exalted one. Ofh courss I will do all to pleasse my cussstomer. Ifh you cannot bear sstains, my creatsionss are not for youu. But - I will do what I can to pleasth you." He looks over the axe. "Thiss 'Bravurra' isth a sthimple matter to do, no challenge."
[OOC] Atarvalkkan has no identifiable colors or style of equipment, per se. His followers have many different patterns amonst them. Although some factions within his group do have identifiable schemes, the Exarchs do not. And I've already got a handle on how I'm handling this, thank you James for the suggestion. And no, you can't teach him anything, lol.

[OOC]I meant more like gathering something like maybe Star Metal or some kind of rare creature hide as a means of aiding them, or maybe some long forgotten tome, I never meant as in my own crafting skills as I have none![/OOC]
Arcades mulls the information over momentarily, "In your experience, is it possible to use a dye and cover up the ruddy appearance or will it... 'bleed'... through all the same? I'm interested in a metallic crimson appearance all throughout while keeping the silver traceries, perhaps if your reforging process cannot avoid the stains, a follow-up dye and silver gilding job would serve the same ends?"

Twoerc follows his self appointed guide throughout the Citadel, and releases the poor man after the Half-erc has seen enough.
Wandering back to Samantha and Yelvin's, the new Exarch enters with a slight smirk.
"I am Twoerc, newly made Exarch of our Great Armored Dragon. I seek to have my gear altered to better fit my status. From what I've seen of the Citadel, this is the place I want."

Samantha greets Twoerc with a charming smile. "Of course, we have the best equipment here. Just show me or Yelvin what you would like altered, and we'll get right on it!" She seems very bright and personable.

Ratel disappears for an hour, then returns, looking grander but less radiant, and heads towards the smiths. He takes his time, pausing to look through most merchant's wares. If anyone asks him what he's looking for, he responds, "I have just begun a new life in service to our Lord. Great things will come. But first, I feel like I need a new belt."

Arcades stands, still holding the immense axe steady in one hand with ease, "Well then Skree, this seems to be the beginning of an extremely amicable friendship, when do you wish to begin; how long will it take; and what is your price?"

After waiting for what seems like hours, watching it as it is finished and checking his newly returned equipment, Twoerc grins.
"You and your brother are great. Make no mistake, I will wear this with pride. Even the Bracers, which I was skeptical about at first, are a marvel." Shined and polished, the re-tempered armor and remade Bastard Sword gleam with new menace and a promise of danger for Twoerc's enemies.
And on them, subtle and bold at the same time is the plain and simple mark of 'XIII'.
"I will be seeing more of you, I hope, Lady Sam."

Skree answers Arcades, "I begin at your behesst. I will need several days, and do so for you wisth no fee. I merely wissh your future patronage."
Ratel searches the markets, and finds a fine selection of equipment, fitting nearly anything he has previously encountered, and much more. Some of these pieces are of a quality rarely seen outside of expensive collections.
Samantha gives Twoerc a cheerful parting nod. "I hope so too!"

After wandering for a bit, he finally makes his way to Klangannon's a place he has frequented in the past (quite possibly the place I originally GOT my armor, since its so uniquely flexible and such -shrugs dunno-) for mostly minor things. Upon entering he immediately makes his way to the human known simply as Smith. "Greetings Smith. My name is Artorus Merzing. I'd like to speak with you about getting some work done to my equipment. I've spoken with some people, and seen some of your work, and I believe your style to best suit my needs as a newly appointed Exarch of our Lord. Please, tell me what you think you might be able to do with my equipment." At this he kind of spreads his arms, palms forward, just slightly and looks to the man so that he can have a good look at the fullplate (including the magical boots and gloves) covering him. After he has looked over the fullplate he hands over Marsil (his sword) for inspection, along with his shield and waits calmly.
