Lorania finds that she seems to be raising an eyebrow fairly often whenever Ald speaks to her and yet again, she attempts to hide a fairly rude look of consternation at the suggestion of such a vulgar practice.

Aldern seems a little surprised by the question, but quickly regains his composure, "Why, both of course! Hunting can of course be sporting, and why not have a grand feast celebrating a good hunt?"

"An interesting time to go hunting I suppose... but I will join you, if nothing else to help keep any who attend safe from whatever might be lurking in the wilderness. If goblins are bold enough to attack a town they'll definitely not hesitate to attack a lone group."

"It hardly seems a good time to draw potential defenders away from the settlement. Are you sure this is a wise idea?" Jubaul looks concerned at the notion.

[ooc] I have tried pointing this out subtly... In the end, the goblin attack did very little actual damage, casualties were minimal, and for the most part people are remembering it in a humorous light. At this point, the town guard is on alert, which it was caught quite off-guard at the festival. [/ooc]
Aldern looks a bit surprised again, but he seems rather good at regaining his composures. "Well, even mighty defenders such as yourselves need a break, I'm sure the town guard can handle any nuisance that might happen while we are gone..." he trails off a bit and looks at the group of you a bit expectantly.
You all get the feeling that Aldern seems a bit disappointed at the moment. Jubaul, you think this is because he was not expecting such concerns over his idea.
[ooc] As a reminder, Aldern is making this offer as part of a thank you for saving him... [/ooc]

"I will accompany you, if only to see that no animals are harmed more than is necessary." With a nod, Malik sits back in his chair, letting one hand rest on Freohr's head.

[ooc] Sorry about the delay... [/ooc]
Aldern's face brightens, and he smiles as he claps his hands together. "Ah! Wonderful. Now, its not a far ride, but we can't have a proper hunt without proper mounts. Goblin Squash should be able to solve this dilemma"
He stands up and starts out the door. Anyone who follows, goes next door to the stables where Aldern purchases 4 Horses. In short order Aldern and his three manservants have everything in order and ready to go.

Cale mounts the horse that looks the strongest to him and waits to follow the lead of Aldern to wherever the hunting is to begin.

All of the horses seem to be in good health, the stables seem to be taking good care of all the equines. Of the four horses, one is noticeably larger than the others, a heavier stock of horse that Cale chooses for its apparent strength. The remaining three are all rather similar, with one significant exception. One is particularly more calm than the others.
Everyone is ale to recognize that the larger horse is a heavy horse while the other three are light horses.
Malik: You are able to identify each of the horses quite easily, recognizing the one light horse as having been trained for war.
OOC: since I'm not a big horse buff, people can describe their horses as they want, the first one to respond can choose to get the light warhorse if they so desire.
Aldern leads the group west over Tanner’s Bridge and along the southern banks of the Turandarok River. It’s a two mile ride to the Tickwood Ford, just north of the upthrust limestone escarpment known as the Devil’s Platter. Despite its ominous name, Aldern assures you that the Tickwood is actually a relatively safe woodland. The ride to Tickwood takes about a half hour. Aldern proves to be a charming conversationalist, well-read and with a seemingly endless cache of stories about the high life in Magnimar. He’s more interested in stories from you, though. Who are you? Where are you from? How long have you been fighting goblins? Do you have any harrowing tales of your adventures?

Taking a palomino, Jubaul follows Aldern out of town, joining him in conversation. He's more than willing to tell all there is to know about himself when the man asks, and asking similar questions in return. He explains that he is from the nomadic people in this part of the world, the native Varisians. Jubaul isn't a fighter, but is willing to step up when the need arises - he's always one for new experiences. That's what he does with his life, in fact; he wanders the land looking for new things to see and do, and trying to help people along the way. At some point when the others are talking, and he isn't, Jubaul pulls a small wooden flute from his pocket and begins to play, inexpertly.

Lorania steps forward and gives a cursory inspection of the bright-eyed, medium slate grulla mare with a pastern on her left fore. Mounting up she wiggles a bit then waits for Malik to take the calm horse so that she may situate herself at the back of the group. Throughout the ride she keeps her trap shut as much as possible, whole heartedly regretting her decision to stand and fight when the goblins attacked. Apparently she didn't realize she would be getting so much attention for poking a few small greenies with a pointy bit of metal.

Cale is remarkably reserved, listening but not adding anything to the conversation, he has a very gloomy and troubled expression about the subject.
