Cale fights till he's dead, looking for water tracks from where the Quasit came out, should be easy to spot since it is completely soaked; it should be leaving an abundantly clear trail of water and blood. If that takes an active search I'll be damned (only reasoning I'd accept is the nearby pool area being soaked from its thrashings and the grappling splashing; and even then, that'd only account for maybe 5 or 10 feet nearby, it'd still trail water if it went farther than that) Otherwise, yeah, I fight til I'm dead. If I try to escape, it'll harry us to death and I can't carry Malik and defend us. Also, we've been fighting this thing since March and I just can't will myself to give a crap anymore since it just got, what... 3 rounds of its fast healing to counteract most of any of the damage we've done so far? I'm amazed Nick has stuck in it this long because he hasn't had anything to do for ages and I think it's a major shortcoming on the DM's front to let it go this long with him in that condition; you're practically asking him to quit. Obviously if we stay here it'll wear us down because we can't output enough damage to kill it and most of us are near dead, or at the very least, I know I am. We can try running from it, but that'd make no sense and again, carrying Malik would be unlikely and Cale would never abandon him anyway. We can try staying but we've lost our grapple on it and it's back to being invis and able to heal up its strength once more meaning we'll face several more rounds of getting clawed at just to bring it back to where it was... which, even pulling your punches as a DM, we're still not gonna be able to endure it for as long as it'll likely take... and that'd be what... another 4 pages and two months of combat? Long story short: Either: -it runs away while invis and we can't track it, a nemesis/foe for later (which I honestly am guessing the plot is supposed to be anyway?) Or: -it kills those of us who don't post saying they flee because we're obviously not gonna be able to kill it without pulling some major crits down at this point or some seriously lucky grapples/attacks again cuz that bite attack + claws will definitely take us down before we get it otherwise. As is, it should've been biting in grapples since it's natural weaponry, right? Cale will happily stand his ground at the door to buy anyone who wants to escape or try to escape with Malik in tow the time he can give them. He won't run away from a foe like this though. Either way, I'm tired of this combat that's dragged on this long and you basically just hit the 'reset' button on us for the Quasit's HP. End it, one way or another DM, you gotta end this. Now. C'mon, it's dragging on way too long and killing any interest I have left in the game... I don't think Lorania's stopped posting by accident and I'm guessing Nick isn't really concerned about a game where's been unconscious for at least two months. Ball's in your court sir. Quoted for truth. The only thing I have to add to that.... Malik continues lying on the floor, unconscious, having strange dreams of rolling dice, and actually doing something.

[ooc] You would be surprised how hard it is to notice a bit of water after a short time, particularly when the creature is tiny and isn't touching the ground. The water gives it a penalty on stealth, but doesn't completely cancel out the bonus from invisibility.
As I said before, if you don't spend an action looking around carefully, you take a penalty as you are not actively looking around. You are doing something else, and might happen to notice something. If you say you are looking around for something, carefully scanning the room... That's an action, you're spending time doing it... [/ooc]
Beric rushes back to the room, standing in the door and calling out to the others.
Cale, furious at the insult of becoming fearful through the trickery of the creature moves back into the room and looks around for signs of the vile creature.
Freohr's ears against his head as his lips curl back and he growls loudly at the empty air. Even to those not familiar with animals can tell that the wolf is confused, however, as his head waves back and forth, seeking out the now invisible creature.
Freohr seems to be able to sense a general direction of the creature, as he whips around suddenly. Shortly after this "warning", Beric manages to notice a small amount of motion approach him. He realizes too late that what he saw was the droplets of water from the creature move over him, some of the water even splashes on him in the process.

"She's gone out the door, let us hurry and perhaps we can lose her."
Beric gathers his bow and any belongings that have been carelessly tossed onto the ground. He then puts one of Malik's arms around his shoulder and drags him out of the room and back to town, should nothing stop them. He hopes to allow Cale and Lorania to keep their weapons drawn should anything ambush them as they return the way they came.

"Damnation! The fiend escaped, come on then, let us do the same, we're in no condition to keep fighting." Cale keeps his bastard sword out, covering their exit as Beric carries Malik, hopefully with Lorania leading the way. He keeps his weapon ready, not entirely trusting his eyes, and closes the door behind them when the entire party is safely out. Even still, he backs down the hall behind them with his sword out as though ready for an unseen assailant to attack them.

[ooc] Sorry for the delay, I was trying to wait for a response from ladycin. For the time-being, you can consider Lorania to be tagging along, but don't stress over her reactions. Ladycin, once you have a chance to respond you can add what you feel is necessary to explain how Lorania acted in the missed situations. [/ooc]
Quickly gathering his bow and sword, Beric moves over to Malik and does his best to lift him up. While he does this, Freohr stops growling at the empty doorway. He then moves to his master, nuzzling against his limp body while Beric gains leverage to carry him.
Lorania and Cale continue to be wary, keeping an eye for any further threat. Seeing Beric's difficulty with carrying Malik, Lorania helps, allowing you to move him between you.
Your group stays wary, moving slowly through the complex. Luckily the exit to the town is fairly close. Once outside you feel better but continue to remain cautious. Freohr follows obediently behind Beric & Lorania as they carry Malik and Cale keeps watch behind the group.
It takes a bit of time, but your weary group makes it back to town. Seeing your wounds and the unconscious Malik, the guards quickly usher you to the Cathedral where they insist that you rest and recover.
[ooc] Go ahead and post what sort of actions you take once you get back to town. [/ooc]

[ooc] Assuming we get some healing...[/ooc]
Malik slowly wakes up, very groggy, holding his head and looking around. "Anyone get the number on the Golem that ran me over?" As he slowly gains more and more consciousness, he looks around, smiling as Freohr bounds over to him. "Yes boy, I'm fine." Petting the faithful hound he looks at his surroundings. "Did you guys get that pesky thing?"

Beric stumbles into the Cathedral, straining under the heavy burden of Malik's weight. He sets the druid down in the entry-way and goes to seek a priest if one does not quickly present itself. He will tell them the short-version of their enemies below and request of them any divine aid that they might be able to lend.
Once Malik has been tended to, he will rest himself.

"Golems've numbers?" Lorania follows Freohr to Malik's bedside, "Thin' went 'nvis'ble and we ran with our lives... an' yours."
(After arriving at the cathedral, Lorania spent the time coyly suggesting that the priests should come visit a temple of Calistria some time. They don't seem to be taking her seriously. She shrugs. It's their loss.)

When you emerge from the Glassworks, the day is beginning to get late. Weary from your explorations of the strange structure beneath you make your way to the Sandpoint Cathedral. Once there, Father Zantus immediately ushers you inside so that he may care for your friend.
"I'm sorry, but I do not have much magic left," laying Malik down he casts a short spell, which immediately awakens the man. "May Desna watch over you as you rest."
A wave of energy flows over you, it's calming ebb makes you feel at least a little better.
Malik heals 11 lethal damage total (and his nonlethal damage is completely gone), everyone else heals 6 damage.
Even with the healing, you are weary and need rest after this eventful day. Feel free to perform actions before you rest, shops and such are still open for a little longer.
[ooc] Once everyone is content with what you have done in town for the day and has rested we will continue. Once you have rested, you can level up.
I don't know if I forgot to mention it, but I will go ahead and say it again even if I didn't. I feel that leveling up is a big enough thing that you can't just do it immediately. Effectively, in my games you don't gain experience until you have a chance to rest and reflect on what you have learned. As such, you gain experience and therefore level once you have a chance to rest for 8 hours.
We can continue the game once everyone has confirmed that they are ready to move on both in and out of character. This of course includes leveling up your characters. [/ooc]

Cale leaves with the others but quickly flags down a few guards before joining them in the cathedral. "The glassworks are to be placed under guard, there's an entire complex beneath it that contained numerous abominations and even a fiend. No one is to enter it. The fiend escaped and is still at large so make sure the guard are aware that we face very real danger to Sandpoint. There's something going on here on a much larger scale than just goblins." With that done, Cale joins the others in resting and recuperating, making sure the townspeople (notably the guards) know where to find him.

"Well, at least we all got out alive." Laying back, he closes his eyes, breathing deeply. "That really took alot out of me..." As his breathing evens out, he slowly mumbles his way into sleep, the exertion of the previous day taking its tool, dragging him down into blissful sleep.

Your group somehow manages to relax after the horrors you witnessed in the strange caverns beneath the glassworks. The experiences play back through your mind as you rest, and the knowledge gained seems to empower you. You wake up refreshed and ready to go.
Lorania, Beric, and Cale come down in the morning at the Rusty Dragon and Ameiko seems extremely happy to see you. She quickly prepares each of you breakfast, and is quite watchful to make sure you enjoy it. Later, Malik arrives to meet with the others and he too receives similar treatment from Ameiko. She even brings out some meat-bones for Freohr, although she confirms that it is alright with Malik before setting it down.
Ameiko refuses any attempts at payment, insisting that it is the least she can do for helping her. When you get up to leave, she notices Cale's stiff movements from the wounds that have remained unattended. She chants a few words in an almost lyrical fashion and rests her hands gently on Cale's back. Almost immediately, the pain begins to subside.
After a bit of preparation, going about town and attending to a few things, your group is ready again to explore the catacombs.
[ooc] Due to the data loss, I would like to rush a bit back to where we were. If I missed something important, either post what you do or just contact me with what you want to happen. I believe everyone will need to level up their characters again, so if you need any help from me, let me know as always. Any actions that you would like to take before moving on are alright (within reason). If you need something from another player, PM them. Let's try not to hold things up too much now... [/ooc]

[Quick Recap of my previously deleted post:
I wanted to attempt to identify all of the items we found as well as acquire the aid of cleric to heal any remaining wounds we might have. Additionally, I wanted to purchase (I believe Silver, but it may have been Cold Iron) arrows and daggers. My character new the weakness of the Quasit and wanted to be prepared this time.

After breakfast, Malik will confer with the rest of the group, and then prepare to move onward, back into the glassworks, to see what else there is they might have missed, and to hopefully take out the cursed thing that defeated them last night.

[OOC] I will work on updating my character in a bit, but for now, this is just to keep us moving... [/OOC]
Cale takes the lead once again and heads back towards the altar room with the bubbling pool that birthed sinspawns. He is fully ready for combat, expecting the quasit to have grown an army at this point. If the room turns out to be empty, Cale proposes they finish exploring this floor and then delve deeper into this underground dungeon.
