Shade and Widowmaker
Widowmaker spots Plattcher seconds before Shade drops down slowly before the lieutenant.
"Er, echum. Hello, boys. No, no, the missus liked the flowers yesterday. I, er, came to speak with Mr. Bloom." Plattcher was a fat human, and balding to boot. Ugly was a word that described the Lieutenant Scabbard in one go, but 'Ugly' wouldn't bother with that go. Plattcher's face was warty, and his clothes, though the equal of any Magistrate in the city, were certainly not well kept. There were gravy stains on the front of his tunic and armor, and he smelled to Shade of horrible wine.
But the man was a Lieutenant Scabbard, and you don't get to be one of those without some considerable skill with a weapon. The one thing clean on Plattcher was his sword, and he fingered it absently well he looked upon Shade and noticed above the grotesque figure of Widowmaker.
The difference between Plattcher and most Scabbards, however, was he knew the streets. He knew how things worked. And he knew that if there was something advantageous to him, it might be advantageous to others. His current choice of an other was Leo Bloom, who kept him well bribed with a nice bottle of Dray Chardonnay 212 every week.
"Got a big, echum, order to place... for someone else, mind you. It's a... yeah, it's a surprise." Plattcher grinned a tooth missing grin.

Widowmaker grins cruelly and slowly slinks to the edge of the roof effortlessly. Keeping himself out of sight as best as he can from the public... as one such as he is not a welcome thing in the streets. As a forethought he wipes the blood away from his mouth (Probably not a good idea to be seen by the "Law" with my maw drenched in the blood of a citizen) and settles low to the ground, perpetually seeming like the bug he is-- Ready to spring and move yet somehow unnervingly still when not in motion. He settles in a position where should the Scabbard attempt sudden and unprovoked violence, he'll be down the building faster than an eyeblink and able to fight (That's right, you do the talking Shade, if that Scabbard goes ballistic I'll devour his heart before he can scream.)
Widowmaker knew full well that Shade knew just how fast he was, and, from his position, watched and listened to the confrontation without giving himself away knowing Shade would call on him if he was needed (...and until then, stay on the roof you scary looking, monstrous bastard!) Widowmaker filled in for himself in his mind, his cynical view everpresent.

When Draco mentions what Hawk might do, he grins wickedly, his hand still resting on the ready crossbow. "Aww, and here I was thinking I would have a bit of target practice. Now get up you runt, don`t think for a second either of us has any actual pity for you. Suspicious of the runt, he stays a bit back, ready at a moments notice to stop whatever he might have planned.
[Spot 14 + 19 = 33]
plus an [Intimidate 6 + 10 = 16 + any modifiers for situation] to get him to stop complaining and move along.
OOC: It looks like we`re may be giving him a little scare, if Draco wants to let him go, Hawk won`t stop him, I initially thought we were to take him to Boss Bloom.

"So, an order to place, hmm? Any extravagant flowers? Because you must know how much Fluffy and I hate going so far to pick flowers." He nods, not caring if the man knows who Fluffy is or not, or if he simply thinks him mad. "But, Mr.Bloom won`t be so happy if you just bust in there, how about you wait here, and I go tell him that you are here with some business Lieutenant, Ya, how about I just go do that, and you`ll be safe here, alright?" With that, he turns, walking back to the shop to tell the boss that Lieutenant Plattcher is here with a special order.

It was fortunate that Emilia was well-accustomed to dealing with boredom. After the flower ceased to be amusing (about one second), she busied herself staring out the window and watching people go by. The rhythm of the city was always fascinating...
...until the Red Hammer had to break her concentration.
Inwardly, she was frowning at Brody's disrespect, and already contemplating ways to have him dealt with...though she knew perfectly well that they couldn't go silencing one of the Red Hammers' higher-ups for mere rudeness. Outwardly, she was smiling in a slightly vacant manner. "I'm sorry, sir, but the owner is a bit busy just now." She was a bit suspicious, but if the man really didn't know her face, there was no point in enlightening him. "If it's really urgent, I'm sure someone can escort you inside to wait."
They couldn't have a Red Hammer standing around for the benefit of those who didn't already see the Obvious, but the message might actually be important. Still, it wouldn't do to let Brody think he was important enough to see Mr. Bloom on command...

After a somewhat uncomfortable silence, the Master speaks, "Reginald, go and fetch Em." She probably deserves a break by now, I know how boring the Obvious can be for many people, her included.

Brutus quickly moved forward, eyes fixed on Ned. A A sickening cracking sound can form Brutus' arm as it started to transform. Large dagger-like claws grew from his fingers and like vines, black tendrils crept up to his elbow. His skin became an orangish brown and looked as if it thickened to leather.
Brutus' claws are at Ned's neck level in a flash and in a low growl he says, "I would say that next time you shouldn't turn your back, but I'm not sure if you'll get a next time." With a scowl he reveals a mouth full of sharp jagged teeth. [ooc] Intimidate: 14+16= 30 [ooc]
Then, with a quick turn Brutus takes his place again. His arm and mouth look normal, as if they never transformed. His eyes still look as if they are trying to burn a hole in Ned.

Mr. Black
The halfling seems about to say more, but is a bit flustered that you would leave so suddenly. All you hear as you walk away is, "Well, then I suppose we shall see you at the shoppe."
Amazingly enough, there was not a single 'R' in that sentence.
{{Five minutes to the shop at a walking pace, er, I mean, probably next big post.}}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hunter
Moving quickly, Hunter manages to dodge through the shadows and alleys that make up the quick way back to the hideout. Within a minutes time, he experiences a feeling of... safety, for lack of a better term. The surrounding streets near 'Careful Arrangements' are usually well protected, and while fights have been known to break out, it is not threatening for those who know that they have but to shout and dozens of Crimson Orchids will be at their backs in mere seconds.
Not that Hunter needs - or particularly wants - dozens of Crimson Orchids to help him with anything. But this feeling was akin to that of coming back to an old house. Sure, anybody could break into that house... but this old house, they'd find people who would simply break their bones.
A minute later, Hunter espies Lieutenant Plattcher talking to Shade.
"...I go tell him that you are here with some business Lieutenant. Ya, how about I just go do that, and you'll be safe here, alright?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shade, Widowmaker, and now Hunter too
"You mean, you mean Mr. Bloom is here?" Plattcher starts. It's obviously written on his face that he'd been expecting to wait a while to speak directly with Bloom. He tries to cover this however with words.
"Er, I mean, right. You go do that. I'll just head inside and look at some flowers, shall I?" Words aren't always Plattcher's friends.
Widowmaker spots Hunter coming through the alleys. Widowmaker also gets the feeling that there are more than four people in this particular alley. Someone else is jumping around the roofs to the west.
{{Spot check from Hunter to see Widowmaker if you want. Also, I decided for... mystery's sake, that while this is the main hideout, Crimson Orchids are seen popping out from the Underfoot and down from Above Notice all over the city, leading most people to believe that the gang has no main location. Only a series of hang outs. Which may or may not be true, depending on how many of you choose to live in the hideout. It can accommodate all of you, easily. It's a warehouse, for Jongo's sake!}}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Draco and Hawk
Hawk and Draco both see a flash of metal in Kr'kikik's hand when he slumps over, seemingly defeated. Hearing Hawk speak, however, the kobold is cowed, and the two of you see him flex his wrist, the glint of metal disappearing back up his sleeve.
"Hhhk. Hawk right. Kr'kikkik is runt. Kr'kikkik come to Orchids cause big family, is Orchids. No longer smallest. Not biggest, but not smallest. Hhhk. Please, please, let Kr'kikkik go! Kr'kikkik want stay with Crimson Orchids, but will run if Draco and Hawk say to run."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bloom and Brutus
Reginald responds, "At once, Master Bloom."
Turning to the assembled crowd, the Butler to the Bloom continues, "Ned, once you have changed your trousers, you and... Oddo? Yes, Oddo it is your turn at the register. You and Ned will work the front in place of Lady Emilia. Come along, smartly now."
In a measured step that everyone in the room is rather used to, Reginald walks away, towards the main shop section of 'Careful Arrangements'.
Ned scampers away from Brutus, not caring at all about the people laughing at him and his... wet pants. A large looking half-orc (Oddo) peels away from the back of the crowd, and he follows after Reginald.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Emilia
"Sure thing, sweet cheeks. I'm more than glad to wait." Brody grins and flexes his muscles at Emilia. "Means I get to spend some time with you."
Before Emilia even has a chance to ponder the ramifications of this... wonderful chance to get to know Brody better... Reginald appears behind her, at doorway. The Butler is about to say something to Emilia, but Brody yells out, "Reggie!"
Reginald's eyebrow raises up in perplexity and the he responds, "Ah. Sir Brody. Good day to you. To what do we owe the pleasure?"
"Got a message for Leo."
"Really? Well, I am sorry to say that Master Bloom is rather busy at the moment." Reginald turns back to Emilia. "He would like your opinion on something when you have a moment. He is particularity vexed. It seems young Burpp and Gunzio were playing with the clippers and got themselves cut."
"So this is a bad time, Reggie?"
"Sir Brody, I do hope that I can properly stress to you that my name is Reginald, not Reggie. Is this message from the usual?"
"Yup. Wouldn't be in your place if it wasn't for a good reason."
"Then no, Sir Brody, this is an acceptable time. We never turn down a friendly letter from Master Johnathan."
"Shhhhh! Reggie, er, Reginald, please! Not in front of the girl. I goofed up bad when I said Johno's name aloud, and I'd be a dead man if the rest of the Hammie's knew about it."
"You do not know much, do you, Sir Brody? Though your loyalty to your organization is commendable, each missive that we receive is signed 'Johnathan', so the name is no secret to us, nor to the Broker, I am sure. However, that is the only information we have, and as of now, I do not believe that Master Bloom is interested in any more than that." Oddo steps into the room at the end of this, and sees the big hammer at Brody's belt. The half-orc scratches his face and goes to stand next to Emilia.
"Fine, fine. I just... I don't feel right, all right."
"The message, Sir Brody?"
"What? Oh, right. I guess you'll do. Here." Brody digs into a belt pouch and pulls out a rolled piece of parchment with a red ribbon tied around it. He hands it to Reginald. "You'll give it to him yourself, right Reggie?"
"Of course, Sir Brody."
"Thanks." A little more in control of himself, Brody waves good bye to Emilia. "See you around, sweet cheeks."
Brody exits the building. Ned arrives just as Oddo snickers.
"What? What's funny, Oddo?" Ned wonders.
"Red Hammer called Emilia 'sweet cheeks'." Oddo giggles. Ned looks nervously at Emilia, and stands away from the half-orc.
(Oh-h-h? What's this then? Friend...? Foe...? ...Dinner? Bwehehehe... Hunter and Shade can handle Scabby. I suddenly feel the urge to go after this 'new arrival'... an urge that starts somewhere in my stomach. Bwehehehahaha)
Widowmaker quickly goes from roof to roof westward, fully confident that should the Scabbard start any trouble that Shade will be alright, especially with Hunter around now. (Haha, and if they can't handle one little Scab, well, I'll be delighted to tell The Boss that two posers failed.) Widowmaker grinned a cruel smile, not sure whether he himself could actually handle a Scabbard in one on one combat. Oddly, it didn't diminish his gleeful malice in the slightest to think about himself under the same "watchful of failure" conditions he'd just jokingly assigned to Hunter and Shade. (Hell, I at least hope they watch me as much as I do them, it'd be so-o-o depressing if secretive bastards like them trusted a monster like me.) Noticing that the Scabbard has seen him he makes no attempts to hide (at least, from the Scabbard, not wanting to appear as though a threatening assassin of sorts and earn a pleasant reward of a sword in the neck) as he heads West, in pursuit of the unknown (possible) prey.
[OOC]Phule, you have my char sheet so I don't know what you want me to roll as far as spots or listens as well as hiding and moving silently (don't know how hard or difficult it is to cross roofs thusly). So, with Tremorsense 60ft., and my climb/land speed of 65ft. (per move action and with jump checks if needed) I quickly close in on where I thought I saw the figure.[/OOC]
Draco saw the flash of metal, choosing to ignore it. If the little lizard thought he was going to hurt Draco in a way such as that, he'd be dead before he hit the ground."Get out of here. Don't ever think that you can just get away with something. Go." Draco let go of the Kobold's arm, and began to turn the other direction.
Shade with a knowing smile nods, "You seem to have got lucky, hasn`t he Fluffy? Catchin a break like Mr. Bloom being so close in the area, not off somewheres but near him, quite the luck, normally it`d take him far longer, wouldn`t it Fluffy?" Shade talks to his shadow, chuckling all the while as he enters the shop. Seeing Brody exit, he smiles in what he believes to be a friendly reassuring manner, and waves as he steps past him into the doorway. This time, as he enters, despite the light, his shadow seems to spread out inside a bit more than it should "Emilia, Sir Reginald, Ned, Oddo, me and Fluffy wonder how you are all today? Oh, and Lieutenant Plattcher wants to speak with Mr.Bloom about a special Flower Arrangement Sir Reginald." His shadow seems to crawl up his pants leg a bit, and he bends down and pats it. "Don`t worry Fluffy, its just business, nothing else, don`t worry, Sir Reginald, he is outside waiting, shall I tell him anything? Ooh Fluffy, don`t worry, with you with me, how could anything bad happen?" He stands back up after speaking lovingly to his shadow.
Coming up the alley, he quickly spots the Scabbard standing outside the shop, catching the tail end of the conversation as Shade moves into the shop to contact Boss, or more likely to contact Reginald. "Hmmm.... Scabbard eh? Looks to me like Lt. Platcher is here when he shouldn't be. Wonder why...Maybe I can scare it out of him.."
Nodding silently in greeting to Widowmaker before the insect goes bounding off through the rooftops, he silently approaches Platcher from behind, grinning wickedly to himself. When he has approached to directly behind the man he presses a claw slightly against his back, fingers together to a single point, and whispers into his ear "Platcher, Platcher, Platcher... better have a good reason for being here or I doubt Boss will be happy.. And when Boss ain't happy his Hunter ain't happy...How bouts you wait right here till Shade gets back, k? k.". With that he disappears again, moving straight off to the side at a 90 degree angle from that which he came in, sticking to the shadows and making sure he has an uninterrupted line between himself and Platcher, just incase the Scabbard decides to do something stupid. "Hmm.. Guess reporting the job done to boss can wait a few minutes.. I better keep an eye on this guy since Widowmaker went running off... Bloody insect probably went to hunt down more food.. Always concentrating on his stomach..
[ooc]27 Spot for Widowmaker. 39 Move Silently and 33 Hide on my approach to Platcher. 34 move Silently and 34 hide when I leave him. 18+9=27 Intimidate+ Whatever Conditional modifiers I may get for coming out of nowhere and disappearing instantly afterwards. [/ooc]
"Yes, it seems you have gotten lucky this time. But you better get out of my sight before Draco stops feeling so generous."
(I can't wait to get back to Above Notice, this place is just so... limiting.) It seems Hawk's patience for this place is starting to wear thin.
With that thought Hawk stands expectantly for the Kobold do exactly that. And will wait until there are no living Kobolds visible to turn and leave for home. Whether or not there is a dead Kobold instead will be determined by those around him.
Brody's advances are flattering in the same way that a rabid otyugh makes a fine house pet; it's fortunate that Emilia doesn't have to bother coming up with a way to defuse them. She keeps her expression politely devoid of intelligence, looking for all the world like she neither knows nor needs to know what anybody is talking about.
Once Brody is finally gone, she smiles. "Yes, he's nearly as good a comedian as he is a messenger," she says brightly, adjusting the dark-colored scarf around her neck as she sweeps from the room. There's certainly no use in keeping the Boss waiting.
It's just as well. It's a bit hard to receive messages when you're trying to run a flower shop, and she's already feeling out of the loop.
"Really tired of people thinking they can fool Boss," Draco muttered as he walked in the other direction. He began to speak to Hawk without turning back and looking at him. "He won't do it again, trust me. It'd probably be good to keep an eye on him, though." Draco slowed down and stopped. "So, what are you going to do with the rest of your day now?"
