It was a beautiful night on the Araba. The moon was bright and full, and the stars shone brilliantly. All those on the plains where awash in the dim glow of the stars. Everybody in the plains usually thank the Kami for such a beautiful night, especially the Kitsune, who revel in the beauty of plains and the sky. For a certain Kitsune midwife though, the night was troubling. Her mistress had already gone into labor naught but a few hours prior, and she did not have time to appreciate the beauty of the night. It had been too long for comfort for her, and when it finally happened, the Kitsune's heart sank. The mother had died in labor, although the newborn child had survived. Although she lamented her final task of the night, it was her duty to find Lord Konda and tell him that his daughter had been born and that the mother had died. A single cloud drifted across the sky as the Kitsune ran to inform Konda, preferring a leisurely jog to running. She still felt devestated the the mother had died, but she kept telling herself that it was her duty to inform her Daimyo. And so she ran on to the royal chamber, passing the on-duty Samurai and Royal Guards.
After a few minutes of explaining the urgecy of the news to the guards outside of the Royal Chamber, she was allowed into the lavishly decorated chamber. Through the single barred window, the brilliant light of the moon shone in. Although the light was dim, she could see perfectly fine as a Kitsune. Atop large dais at the end of the throne room was a throne. In front of his throne Lord Konda stood. His back was turned to the entrance. At his side were several men she had never seen before. A man dressed in blue garbs of a wizard, his long white Fu Manchu moustache billowing lightly from the breeze coming from the window. A Soratami in clothing more lavish than usual. At the other side of Konda was a man she knew well. It was General Takeno, leader of the armies of Eiganjo, second in command only to Konda himself. The general merely looked at the Kitsune, and she was dragged out of the room. As she was being forced out, she saw the air in front of Konda open, and upon the opening, Konda reached out his hands, as if trying to grab something from the other side.
It was a beautiful night. Too beautiful, it seemed, to be the start of a war the likes of which Kamigawa had never seen.

Regions of Kamigawa:
The Towabara: The windswept plains of the Towabara, known as the Araba, were once a beautiful site before the sins of Daimyo Konda. Now it is a hazy expanse of crater-pocked land. The only thing that is noticeable on the plain is the highly fortified castle of Eiganjo, which is the home of Konda and his ancestral line. The castle is under strict rule at this time, because of all the Kami attacks. Of all the castes of Eiganjo, the most highly respected are the Samurai. Eiganjo contains thousands of samurai. Lately though, the Eiganjan military has gotten soft because of mandatory drafts to get as many foot-soldiers as possible to defend the city of from Kami attacks. Recently, Lord Konda employed his greatest Mages to summon one of the five great guardian dragons. The mages managed to bring forth The Guardian Dragon of Eiganjo: Yosei, the Morning Star.
PC's from Eiganjo will choose from the Heritage feats of the Lion, Unicorn and Crane clans.
Minamo Academy: The waterfalls of Minamo are home to the greatest wizards and Wu Jen of all time. It is also a site of intense spiritual activity, for the waterfalls of Minamo are said to be the veil that separate the spirit realms and the material realm. Aside from the everyday threat of Kami attacks, it is relatively peaceful at the school, and studies are never over there. Lessons taught at the school are generally magic, but the school also trains students in the way of martial offense and defense. This is why it is said that Minamo's bodyguards rival the skill of more than a few of Konda's footsoldiers. They are also rumored to train Ninja, but all accounts of this has been denied. Recently, rumors of strange goings-on have been happening at the school, and there are even rumors that tight ring of students are practicing magic that could bring the school to an end. However, Headmaster Hisoka has taken an example from Daimyo Konda, and had his best mages summon the Guardian of Minamo Falls: Keiga, The Tide Star.
PC's from Minamo will choose the Heritage Feats of the Pheonix, Scorpion, and Crane clans.
Takenuma Swamp: The Takenuma Swamp is usually avoided by anybody who can help it. The smell of rotting bamboo is immediately obvious, as is the black mush that seems to cover all of the swamp's solid expanses. Takenuma is not known for it's purity of morals, either. The swamp is home to Nezumi, Assassins, Ninja, and even a few oni-worshipping ogres on the fringes of the dreaded bog. What living inhabitants it has, though, are tough and dirty, and normally do not work in a legitimate line of work, aside from the Nezumi bartenders that sells an almost caustic liquid to any patrons that still live through the stuff. In fact, most of the legitimate work done in Takenuma is done by the vast majority of Nezumi that live there. Mostly, the inhabitants of the swamp aren't necessarily evil, but actually are just people trying to survive. The true evil of the swamp resides in the conglomeration of assassins that tend to kill, cheat, and lie to get what they want. Even they, though, are plagued by constant threats of the Kami attacks, which is why the Jushi, employed by assassins, summoned forth the guardian dragon of the Takenuma: Kokusho, The Evening Star.
PC's from Takenuma will choose the Heritage Feats of the Scorpion, Crab, or Dragon Clans.
Sokenzan Mountains: The Sokenzan Mountains are a place of great danger and extreme climate. The only thing more dangerous than the environment of the Sokenzan is the attacks that go on there. More Kami have attacked the mountains than any other place in the land of Kamigawa. The spirits that appear here are also far fiercer than the normal Kami. Thus, only the hardiest of living things can live there. Among those living in the Sokenzan Mountains are Bandits. Bandits are mostly humans that have moved over time from the plains below, looking for freedom from the savage laws of Eiganjo. Among Konda's definition of the Bandits, there are Barbarians, Savages, and lawbreakers. Any bandit that is caught by Konda's Mountain Border Patrol are usually executed on the spot. The Akki, a type of goblinoid that lives in the mountains and volcanoes, live peacefully by themselves in the mountains, worshipping ancestral spirits with shamanic rituals. The largest majority of living creatures in the mountains are the Ogres. Among those that worship the Oni, Ogres are the fiercest devotees. They sacrifice anything living to the Oni, and even have them possess their own bodies. The Yamabushi, a clan of hermits that practice magic that literally destroys spirits, also are said to live in recluse in these mountains. When the Yamabushi magic is used against anything, it utterly destroys it, making the Yamabushi some of the most feared mages around. Even with the Yamabushi's inteense powers, the harsh setting of these mountains has driven them to the brink. Recently, the Yamabushi used their great magic to summon the Guardian Dragon of the Sokenzan: Ryusei, the Falling Star.
PC's from the Sokenzan will choose the Heritage Feats of the Pheonix, Crab, or Unicorn Clans.
The Jukai Forest: The Jukai forest is a vast expanse of land that has never been truly explored, which means that there isn't much known about it. There are only a few clans of humans that live in the Jukai, and they mostly live within a few miles of the clearing of the forest. Deeper within the forest lives a group of highly dsciplines monks and shugenjas that worship nature in all it's splendor. These monks train for extensive hours, and are unmatched in unarmed combat. It was once said that they fended of a six year continuous attack of Kami, now known as the Battle of Silk. Another exclusive inhabitant of the Jukai are the Orochi, a group of four-armed snake warriors and shamans that are rarely ever seen outside or even close to the edge of the forest. With the recent Kami attacks that seems to plague the forest, and the recent end of the Battle of Silk, the Orochi decided to take extra precautions to protect themselves, having their greatest shamans summon forth the Guardian Dragon of the Jukai: Jugan, The Rising Star.
PC's from the Jugan Forest will choose the Heritage Feats of the Lion and Dragon Clans.

Here is a sneak peak at the races of Kamigawa. I will post more over time. Races of KamigawaAny of the standard races will be allowed, but also keep in mind that there are new races in Kamigawa, most of which are playable. Kitsune:Kitsune are the fox-folk that live throughout the Towabara. There are many tribes throughout the barren plains that live close to the forest, but a good few Kitsune live in Eiganjo. The Kitsune are renowned for their elegance and poise in whatever they do, and their superb fighting skills. Personality: Kitsune have varying attitude, and can be as unpredictable as humans in that respect. Most Kitsune seems to have strong feelings towards the elegance and reverence of the natural world. Kitsune also tend to be fierce protectors, and are known to make some of the best warriors in the Araba because of this. Appearance: A typical Kitsune will range from six feet to 6'5, and are lean and muscular due to their naturally fast metabolism. While Kitsune are typically named for unique characteristics that they have, one Kitsune trait is always the same: the white fur that covers their body, and their bushy fox tails. They also have a long, foxlike face, which would make it impossible to mistake a Kitsune for a member of any other race. Alignment: Most Kitsune tend to have good in their alignment. Kitsune don't seem to have any predisposition towards law or chaos, which is obvious between most of them. Names: Kitsune are almost always given a name that describes a unique physical characteristic of the Kitsune, while keeping a customary last name. An example would be a brother name Sharp-Ear and a sister named Pearl-Ear, or three siblings with names such as Swift-Tail, Bright-Tail, and Long-Tail. Kitsune Racial Traits:- +2 Dexterity, -2 Constitution. Kitsune are more lean and agile than other races, but are also more frail as a result.
- Medium: As Medium creatures, Kitsune have no special bonuses
or penalties due to their size.
- Kitsune base land speed is 40 feet. Kitsune are far quicker on their feet than most other races.
- Low-Light Vision: A Kitsune can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. She retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
- Scent: Kitsune have the Scent extraordinary ability. Their noses are as keen as their eyes and ears.
- +2 racial bonus on Spot and Listen and Search checks. Kitsune have keen eyes and ears.
- Kitsune have a high endurance for running, thanks to their location on the wide plains of the Araba. Kitsune do not become fatigued when they normally would, and when they would become exhausted, they become fatigued instead. This ability only works in conjunction with strenuous physical activity, and will not function if the exhaustion is an effect caused by a spell or any kind of ability.
- Weapon Familiarity: Kitsune may treat Katanas as Martial Weapons instead of Exotic Weapons. Among other things, this means that a Kitsune can wield a Katana one-handed if it can use martial weapons.
- Favored Class: Samurai
- +1 Level Adjustment
Soratami:Soratami are the descendants of the Kami of the Moon. As such, they themselves consider themselves nearly divine beings. They look down upon the human world and show pity to all other mortals, for they believe that they cannot survive without them, and many down below think the exact same thing. Personality: Soratami are smug by nature. They are usually self-centered, and even when they aren't, they always believe that they are as great as any other Soratami. Appearance: Soratami always have a somewhat feminine characteristic about them, even if they are considered male. In fact, Soratami don't have a fine line between gender. When a Soratami appears in the world down below, many people tend to think it is a female soratami. because of how every other race of Kamigawa has a gender barrier. Those that usually have the phyiscal characteristcs of men are usually elder Soratami, and even then, they exhibit somewhat feminine characteristics still. Soratami have pale white skin, their hair the exact same color as their skin. It is not uncommon to not be able to tell where the head ends and the hair begins. Soratami are always born with a birthmark on their brow. These birthmarks actually appear more as tattoos than actual birthmarks, their elegant designs accenting their features. They tend to dress in lavish clothing that are primarily blue in color, with accents of gold or some other rich color. Alignment: Sortami are usually lawful, as they believe themselves to be the thread holding together the fabric of Kamigawa. Despite this lawful element to their personality, some soratami use underhanded tactics, such as assassination and blackmail to get what they want. As far as Good/Evil alignment, a soratami could be either. Soratami Racial Traits:- +2 Strength, +2, Dexterity, +2 Charisma. Soratami have much greater physical strength and prowess humans or most other races. Soratami also are have a certain aura about them that makes them appealing to most, despite the Soratami's obvious dislike of other races.
- Medium Size
- Soratami have a base land speed of 30.
- Darkvision: Soratami can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
- Outsider (Native): Soratami are Outsiders native to the plane of Kamigawa.
- Cold Resistance 10
- Electricity Resistance 10
- Immunity to disease
- Telepathy: Soratami can speak mentally with other Soratami.
- Spell-Like Abilities:
HD | Spell-Like Abilties | 1-2 | Feather Fall, Augury | 3-4 | Whispering Wind, Levitate | 5-6 | Clairaudience/Clairvoyance | 7-8 | Wind Walk | 9-10 | Scrying, Mass Suggestion | 11-12 | Overland Flight | 13-14 | True Seeing | 15-16 | |
- Favored Class: Wu Jen
- Level Adjustment +4
Nezumi:As written in Oriental Adventures. [/img] Akki:The akki are a group of goblinoids that live in the Sokenzan Mountains. The akki don't just live in the mountains and volcanoes, they live in the mountains and volcanoes. The akki revel in the flames and lava of the volcanoes, and that is why the largest colonies of Akki live near the active volcanoes. Akki are normally peaceful when it comes to normal Akki life, and are generally well behaved when it comes to dealing with humans, whole tribes are extremely territorial, and have been known to decimate human camps because of where they decided to tread. Personality: Akki on the whole are shy, curious creatures with a generally happy attitude towards most living things that don't cross them. The citizens of Kamigawa have a saying,"An akki would be feral by now." It is a saying that emphasizes the fact that akki are easy to anger, and it would be wise not to anger them. Appearance: Akki don't look like conventional goblinoids. All akki are red in color and have red shells on their backs that seem to meld seamlessly with their back. These shell are usually of a random texture for each individual akki. They also seem to have large, round blue eyes, and a beak-like nose. Alignment: Akki are never lawful. Akki enjoy chaos, from playing jokes, to just plain wreaking havoc. They prefer neutrality, but sometimes lead towards being good. While they tend to be angry and territorial, Akki are not necessarily evil.
Akki Racial Traits:- +2 Strength, -2 Intelligence, -2 Charisma. Akki are strong, but not very bright, and many people that aren't from the Sokenzan view them as more vile and vicious creatures than they are.
- Akki are Humanoids.
- Small size: +1 bonus to Armor Class, +1 bonus on attack rolls, +4 bonus on Hide checks, -4 penalty on grapple checks, lifting and carrying limits ¾ those of Medium characters.
- Low Light Vision
- Fire Resistance 10
- +4 Natural Armor
- Rage: Akki can become horribly enraged when they feel threatened. Once per day, an Akki can Rage, as the Barbarian Ability.
- Favored Class: Barbarian
- +1 Level Adjustment
Orochi: Orochi are snake people, indigenous to the Jukai Forest. They rarely leave the woods, and usually attack in groups. Males are usually raised into warriors, while females are made almost exclusively into shamans. Personality: Normally, Orochi are very aloof, and tend to have a territorial ownership kind of view on life. This is what makes most Orochi very xenophobic and hateful to anything without four arms and scales. Appearance: Orochi look mainly like an armed and legged humanoid snake. They always green, and have pronounced fangs and noseless face. Rather, they have all the facial features you would expect of a snake. Their most prominent feature is their 4 arms, which is obviously more than the average human. Alignment: Usually Chaotic Neutral
Orochi Racial Traits:- +2 Strength, +4 Dexterity, -2 Intelligence, +2 Wisdom, -4 Charisma. Orochi are strong and swift, but aren't very intelligent due to the fact that all of them are brough up in the forest with little education. They have a heightened sense of things, but their attitude, appearance, and reputation tend to make them very uncharismatic.
- Monstrous Humanoid- Orochi are not affected by any spell that affects humanoids, such as Charm Person or Dominate Person
- Medium: As Medium creatures, Orochi have no special bonuses
or penalties due to their size.
- Orochi have a base land speed of 40 feet.
- Darkvision out to 60 feet
- Orochi have +2 natural armor, thanks to the hard scales that cover their body.
- Multiple Limbs: Orochi have four arms, and thus can take the Multiweapon Fighting feat (page 304 of the Monster Manual) instead of the Two-Weapon Fighting feat. Orochi can also take the Multiattack feat. (These are not bonus feats.) For each arm the Orochi has after two, it gains +2 racial bonus to its grapple checks. For a typical four-armed orochi, they get a +4 racial bonus to Grapple.
- Natural Attacks: Orochi can attack with a bite attack. The bite is
a secondary natural attack that deals 1d4 points of damage. A Orochi can attack with a weapon (or multiple weapons) at its normal attack bonus, and make a bite attack as a secondary attack. For example, an orochi ranger with the Multiweapon Fighting feat who is armed with three short swords could attack with all three swords at a –2 penalty (the normal penalty for fighting with multiple weapons while using light weapons in its off hands) and also make a bite attack at a –5 penalty.
- Poison (Ex): Bite, initial damage paralysis, no secondary damage DC 15 + Con modifier. If the save is failed, and the target is affected by the poison, they will be paralyzed for 3d4+Con rounds. For example, an Orochi with a 14 con would paralyze somebody for 3d4+2 rounds. An Orochi can only produce enough of this poison for 3 poisonous bites a day.
- Racial Hit Dice: A Orochi character begins with two
levels of monstrous humanoid, which provide 2d8 Hit Dice, a base attack bonus of +2, and base saving throw bonuses of Fort +0, Ref +3, and Will +3.
- Racial Skills: An Orochi's monstrous humanoid levels
give him skill points equal to 5 × (2 + Int modifier). His class skills are Balance, Climb, Hide, Jump, Listen, and Spot.
- Orochi get +4 to Hide, Move Silently, Climb, Balance, and Survival checks when in a forest environment. Orochi feel right at home in the forest, and are adept at moving through it.
- Racial Feats: an Orochi gains Improved Grapple as a racial bonus feat. Also, the Orochi's levels in Monstrous Humanoid give it a feat.
- Favored Classes: For Male, Ranger. For Female, Shaman or Druid.
- Level Adjustment +2

The Myojin:Each of the planes have deities that are revered or feared for the things they do. Kamigawa is no different. Among the regular Kami of the world, there are five Greater Kami known as Myojin. While the normal Kami are an embodiment of one thing, the Myojin rule over tens of hundreds of things. This is what makes them Greater Kami. These Greater Kami are worshiped above most other Kami, as deities of other realms, essentially. Myojin of Cleansing Fire:The Myojin of Cleansing Fire is the Incarnate of all that is holy and good in the realm of Kamigawa. It is said that the original system of law for all of Eiganjo was dictated through a previous emperor by the Myojin of Cleansing Fire. Entire Crusades upon other lands by Eiganjo have been dedicated to the Myojin. All those who worship this Myojin are usuall the epitome of goodness and law, and seek balance over all else. Domains Offered: Good, Law, Fire, Sun, Strength, Protection, Glory, Inquisition, Purification, Celestial, Healing Myojin of Seeing Wind:The Myojin of Seeing Winds is the embodiment of all knowledge and the power that that knowledge can bring. The Myojin of Seeing Wind is normally given benediction to by scholars and wizards. On a particular note, the Soratami tend to revere this Myojin more than others. Travelers also say a short prayer to Seeing Wind, in hopes that their journey will be better with the wind at their back. Domanins Offered: Air, Knowledge, Travel, Magic, Mind, Oracle, Mysticism, Weather, Celerity Myojin of Night's Reach
The Myojin of Night's Reach is the incarnated power of the Night, and all of it's aspects. Many people do not even bother to pray to her because of what is thoughts about her. Many think that she may very well be an oni, but this is not true. While she does commit seemingly evil acts, she is the epicenter of the agenda of the night, and while her methods seem evil, if not cruel, she only does what she claims is necessary to keep order. Domains Offered: Trickery, Cold, Domination, Dream, Darkness, Greed
Myojin of Infinite Rage:The Myojin of Infinite Rage is the embodiment of all chaos and anger in Kamigawa. As such, this Myojin is less revered than Night's Reach. While he too is not considered evil, his vast power comes from chaos, destruction and war. One of the only times that he is called upon in prayer is before war. The Myojin of Infinite Rage is highly fickle, and does not have more than a few favored people on Kamigawa. Domains Offered: Chaos, Destruction, Fire, Strength, War, Pain, Wrath, Endurance
Myojin of Life's Web:The Myojin of Life's Web is the Kami of Life. Her power flows from and to nature, which likely makes her the most powerful Myojin. She is revered by just about everybody that lives near the Forests of Kamigawa, or even just farmers that want their crops to grow. Despite this, Life's Web is actually one of the least worshipped Myojin. Domains Offered: Animal, Plant, Earth, Water, Weather, Fey, Bestial

Standard Starting Gold as listed on page 135 of the PHB, so 200,000 GP. 2. Gold. 3. I will allow them, I suppose. 4. The Ancestral/Regional feat is free. All you need to know is where you come from and what feat you want to take accordingly. 5. I'm not sure that I would allow this without some modifications, I'm afraid.

So yeah.. I dont know what I want to play...my original idea of an Orochi Fighter who uses Iajutsu focus with four weapons at once just would be too complicated to get working right... that and I just dont feel like playing it... So now its time to try to come up with something that I want to play.Whats everyone else playing? So I can get a feel for what we might need.

I'm seriously considering playing Fuujin. Now before you start moaning and groaning, I'm taking a step away from the usual Fuujin that everyone has seen. Fuujin without his mighty legacy, without the insane inter-dimensional traveling experience, without the crazy amount of random gear that's completely out of place, and without the power of his own organization. In short, I think I wanna delve into his second life, before he regained his power as Fuujin the Wanderer. And this is the best campaign and setting for it. (Before, I had something completely different in mind, but I think this will work better... Although I won't get to make my normal silly jokes using Fuujin...)
As for Swiftblade changes, I have a few suggestions to balance it out some. First off, we can drop blurred alacrity, evasive celerity, and diligent rapidity. Anything that adds more spell effects to one single spell can be too powerful. Also, make Innervated Speed usable only 1/day (sacrificing a 6th level spell for 1 round of time stop is a little too powerful if doable at will). To make up for these loses, I would like to add Evasion (while under the effects of one's own haste) at 5th level.

Prestige Classes:Unlike the deities of other realms, the Myojin are far more involved with the physical world and it's people. Myojin have been known to come to the devout who are near the end, or those that are in serious trouble. Those that are visited are their favored individuals, and those individuals that follow to path of Acolyte are rewarded with the powers of the Myojin. Acolyte of Cleansing Fire:Acolyte of Seeing Winds:Acolyte of Night's Reach:Acolyte of Infinite Rage:Acolyte of Life's Web:These prestige classes will be posted soon. Please be patient.

EDIT: Hm... can't remember if Samurai have to be Lawful...
