(As an addendum to my previous post to finish out the action) Lorania takes a moment to hide herself more thoroughly. (6+7= 13 to hide)

Beric continues to walk behind Cale, making a note in his mind of anything that appears amiss as they continue exploring the Glassworks. Upon hearing or seeing any signs of their compatriots, he will suggest that they rejoin the others.

Jubaul rifles through his pouch after finding the candle in his backpack. After a few seconds he produces the small piece of specially treated wood that he was looking for (move action). With a quick flick against the rough texture of his cloak, the material on the end flares to life. Using the quick flame, Jubaul lights the candle (standard action). At this point, another door visible through the open door across the room opens, and out comes Cale, Beric, and Freohr. Cale, you leave the room and enter a small hallway, through an open door in front of you, you see Jubaul standing with a freshly lit candle.

Beric walks as quietly as he can behind Cale, his longsword at the ready in-case of an ambush. He will assist quickly in searching the rooms so that they can rejoin their party more quickly.

Cale and Beric walk through a small hallway that leads into an office which is attached to a reception room that seems like it would be used for special orders at the Glassworks. A small side room of the reception area contains numerous files, which leave little space for much else. The final door out of the reception area leads back to the hallway to where the others are. While Lorania is waiting in the darkness for Jubaul and Malik to shed light on the situation, a shadowy figure moves swiftly through the darkness. Lorania barely notices the motion out of the corner of her eye before she takes a hard jab that knocks the wind out of her. Lorania takes 6 damage. | | Upstairs | Downstairs |

Cale rejoins the others (checking the last room as he comes back) and then proceeds to ask what's going on, seeing as how Lorania is not in sight.
Assuming he is quickly caught up, he will hand a torch to one of the less skilled melee combatants to hold and shed light while he readies his bastard sword for more combat.

Update:
Lorania, you can now see the figure of a tall humanoid standing in the darkness (this will provide him with concealment until more light is offered).
Malik notices the faint sound of Lorania being struck, recognizing that something is wrong downstairs.
Initiative:
Shadowy Figure Malik Cale Lorania Goblins Beric Jubaul
It is now Malik's turn, Cale's action has not occured yet (sorry, I forgot to post initiative order earlier). However, judging by the action, I doubt it will change, so I am fairly certain we can assume he will be doing it immediately after Malik.

Raising his shield slightly he moves down the stairs, his club ready in his other hand. "Lorania? What happened? I heard a noise. Get behind me." With a short whistle he calls Freohr to him from his position up by Cale, hoping the dogs keen sense can help him ferret out what might be going on down here.

Lorania staggers and grips the wall, she hazards to slip sideways towards the stairs swinging her sword at her attacker as she goes, "Naeg... gwanno ereb nin, saura le orch..." is about all she can manage to growl horsely. (1+1=2 to hit) >.<" (Possible Fumble: 9 + 1 = 10 to avoid)

Stepping down towards the darkness, Malik gives a quick whistle, trying to signal his companion, but without avail. (Freohr does not know the Trick "Come" and as such the action to call him would be considered pushing the animal, I rolled for you and you came up slightly short. Also, based on your post the breakdown of your action was: move action push Freohr to come, 5-foot step down the stairs, standard action full-defense. I added that last part in because it made sense, but if you wish to change anything let me know)
Cale move in, quickly checking the last room he hasn't already seen and tries to get a handle on the situation.
Lorania makes a feeble swing, nearly overexerting herself to an extreme. But her stubbornness keeps her steady enough and she backs away. (FUMBLE: Catastrophic Failure, unconscious for 1d6 rounds [Will negates: 18+2 = 20 success])
You can hear a few stifled goblin cackles as they move about in the darkness, Lorania even thinks she sees a few shapes moving about at the edge of her vision.
The Round continues with Beric, Jubaul, and so on...

After discussing with Cadic's Devoted, Malik's actions have been refined. He moves down the stairs and past Lorania to try and defend her against the unseen assailant. As he does so, he manages to notice an attack before it hit him, narrowly dodging the assault from the man in the shadows. At this point it is readily apparent that you are facing a foe that chooses not to use a weapon while he fights. After Malik moves in, Lorania moves away, however seeing an opening, one of the goblins moves in and strikes at Malik from the darkness. Malik takes 3 damage from a dogslicer to the back.

Beric steps down near Lorania and the bolstering sound of his wood harp echos off of the walls as he inspires courage in his allies.

Jubaul hurries after the commotion, bringing his newly-lit candle with him to shed some light on the situation. Seeing Lorania once more on the ground, he goes down to tend to her, while holding the candle as high as he can.

Beric moves forward (it takes 50 feet of movement to get to the location shown below). Jubaul moves forward and makes sure that Lorania is alright, she is conscious, but was hit fairly hard... The figure in the darkness chuckles briefly, "I will deal with you yet, tellela." He then swings at Malik, however because of the lack of light, he misses. He then moves away, out of sight. [Malik, you can barely see the figure moving in front of you, and you can feel the air move past as his attack misses.] [ooc] Lighting: Humans can see pretty much only the area covered by the orange glow, those with low-light vision can see in the dim area beyond that. There is no bright light apart from the ambient light in the stairway, it is all dim light. [/ooc]
