Seeing the crowd disperse, Jubaul sighs in relief. Expending a bit of his magic to stop his own bleeding (Cure Minor), he walks heavily back to the cathedral to rejoin Zenovia.

Nodding his thanks to Cale for the manacles, he grabs the unconscious thing by the center of the manacles and starts dragging it along behind him, following Cale towards the barracks. "We can pick up Freohr later. He'll be fine guarding the church and the lady until i get back." Looking at Cale he gets a curious look on his face. "I don't mean to offend, but how did you get so good at combat. Those goblins seemed like little more than playthings to you."

[ooc] Reminder, there is a map of sandpoint available in the Player's Guide as well as online in my maps gallery. It would not be out of the way to pass by the Church on the way to the Garrison, you are currently around point 3, the church is point 1, and the Garrison is point 10.[/ooc]
Aldern smiles at Lorania "Well, I have a townhouse in Magnimar, and my family also has land out in the Hinterlands. Nothing special really, are you from Sandpoint?"

Cale seems slightly taken aback: "...I ...I don't know. Honestly, my memories have left me. I simply awoke one day, my memories of who I was gone. This sword and a few other belongings are all I still have. Clearly this sword and I have a history together, the name engraved on it I assume to be my own - Cale Sunstrider." Cale sighs a bit. "How I came to have these skills or such an exquisitely crafted blade I do not know. I do not even know whether or not these skills I have were honed for defending life or for taking it. Of late I am simply a traveler seeking to recover some hints or fragments as to who I once was and doing good where I can to atone for my past should it be full of unmentionable things. Perhaps you know me... or rather, know who I was?" Cale's head is hung during this entire conversation, clearly very distraught over his lost memories and very concerned with who he once was.
He brightens after a moment of reflection and without waiting for a reply from Malik continues: "Still, think not of these things friend, the source of this goblin attack is a far more pressing issue than the ghosts and echoes of my past. These people have had their festival ruined and I intend to see to it that they need never again fear such an incident." Cale smiles warmly and continues on towards the Garrison, though, with the church en route he will happily detour to pick up Freohr.

"No." Lorania replies shortly, "What do you do in Magnimar?"

The group of you heads back down Church street to the Sandpoint Chapel. When you arrive, everything looks much as it did when you left, relatively undisturbed. Opening the heavy door to the chapel reveals its occupants unharmed and safe.
Zenovia happily greets Jubaul's return, happy to see him safe, but she is quickly alarmed by the large wound he has sustained. With such a loud reaction, Father Zantus rushes over to see what is wrong. Happy that it is not life threatening, he casts a prayer of healing on Jubaul.
Freohr returns to Malik, happy to be back with a more familiar figure.
After these happy reunions, the group splits off, Cale and Malik heading to the Garrison, goblin in tow. While Jubaul, Zenovia, Lorania, and Aldern head to the Rusty Dragon.
In response to Lorania's inquiry, Aldern take a little bit before he responds, "Oh, nothing all that interesting, I have to handle my family's estate and all that, business and such. But I must know, where did you learn to handle a blade like that? The way you tricked that foul creature into practically killing itself on your sword was masterful!"
As you travel through the streets you see a few signs of the battle, but the further from the festival grounds you get, the less signs there are. The town guard seems to have handled most of the chaos by now and things are settling down.
Jubaul: Father Zantus heals 9 damage.
If anyone else requests healing, Father Zantus will offer what he can (which sums up to being able to fully heal Cale if he asks for it as well as Lorania)
Cale and Malik: As you approach the garrison you see a small group of guardsmen along with Sheriff Hemlock issuing forth directions.
[ooc] Let me know if this is not what you had intended to do in any way, I can alter the results if necessary and/or post changes to what happens [/ooc]

Lorania grumbles, "Hardly masterful. What were you doing over there anyway? You got a set of legs attached somewhere. Why weren't ya using 'em?" She looks at the other two, "How's the fair lady fairing?"

[ooc] You aren't one for compliments... [/ooc] Lorania"Well, until you came, the goblins had cornered me..." Aldern seems a bit taken aback, he quiets down until you reach the Rusty Dragon. Upon arrival, his dark mood seems to lift and he smiles brightly again, "Well, I'm sure you and your friends have much to see to, saving the day and all. Please come see me later so I can properly thank you all for what you did." He goes inside to his room. | | Father Zantus | Sheriff Hemlock |
JubaulZenovia seems saddened by all the destruction that she sees around the town, this holiday ruined and the ceremony interupted. Before you leave, Father Zantus takes you aside quickly "You have been a great help with the preparations for the chapel, its too bad that it was interrupted. We'll have to finish the ceremony tomorrow." He smiles at Zenovia and then goes back inside the chapel. Cale and MalikWhen you approach Sheriff Hemlock, he notices you and quickly orders the last of the guards off. Turning to you he keeps a stern face, "What can I help you with gentlemen?" After a few moments, he notices the small creature you are dragging behind you. "Ah, looks like we had more than just my men helping with the situation. Good, good, no telling what we can find out, but we can try." He motions you to come inside the garrison. [ooc] Again, giving you all a chance to react some... [/ooc]

Jubaul and Zenovia go off to the side to discuss what happened. The conversation is low enough that it is not overheard, but so far as visibility goes, they hug and she returns the starknife to the now uninjured man. Jubaul seems less interested in the goings on of the other warriors or the townsfolk than he is in their conversation.

Cale does accept the healing, restoring to full and thanking Father Zantus for his aid. He then meets Sheriff with a salute: "Bit of an unexpected way to spend a festival, we took down thirteen of them from my count, including the dog-creature one used as a mount. Seemed to be more important than the others. I expect that the town is secure enough we'll have a chance to discuss the source, and hopefully a means to prevent a second, of this attack?" Cale motions toward the manacled goblin: "Malik here captured this one, I lent the manacles," Cale whispers, "which I'd like back," before continuing: "Hopefully we can get the information we need from this one. Regardless of that, my blade will serve in the defense of your town if you'll have me, Malik can attest to my abilities should you need a guarantee, I can also attest to his skills, though where he takes them is his choice and not mine." Cale speaks while walking if they begin to move towards the Garrison.

Dragging the scruffy little thing along behind him, not caring much for its well being at all, as long as it is alive, he bows slightly when they approach the sherriff. Waiting until Cale finishes he speaks up. "Yes I can attest to his skills, I would gladly have him at my side in any battle. As for this thing," at this he shakes the goblin a bit "It is for information gathering, as I'm sure you've figured. Might you have someone who speaks its language?" Looking directly to the sherriff he smiles.
"And my skills, what may they be, are at your disposal as well for taking care of this... 'problem.'" Looking at Cale he shakes his head. "And I believe you overestimate my fighting prowess good sir. I am not a fighter, but a healer and shaman. Spiritual Guide for my peoples. Now Freohr here." Patting his wolf on the head with his freehand he grins. "Now he's a fighter."

Lorania sneers at Ald's back and enters after him looking around, "Any possibility of a pint over here?"

Cale and Malik: Sheriff Hemlock nods at the two of you, "Yes, well I'm glad to have whatever assistance I can. It sounds like you handled quite a few of them for us." At Malik's mention of being a spiritual guide, his expression changes momentarily, but you aren't sure. Once inside the garrison, he leads you to a small room where you can put the unconscious goblin. "Most goblins I've had the pleasure of meeting have spoken well enough to get a bit of information from. Not that I've ever really wanted to, I won't be wasting any resources on anything in particular for this thing, so we might have to wait for him to wake up. Depending on how good of a beating you gave him..."
[ooc]Let me know if you are going to be doing anything in particular in terms of interrogation, I can give you a general overview of what you find out, or answer specific questions if you have any. This is of course assuming that you stick around for the interrogation...[/ooc]
Lorania: The bar seems to be empty, the inn is pretty well locked up if you look around, it seems that the staff were apparently enjoying the festival as well, up until disaster struck.
Jubaul: Zenovia is thankful for your support... [ooc] is there anything in particular you want to discuss? [/ooc]

Zenovia and Jubaul discuss the best course of action to take from here. He wants to make sure she and the other villagers are safe, suggesting that perhaps the mayor would have some say into what should be done for defense. Father Zantus seems a likely candidate to help out, as well.

Cale doesn't want to aid in the interrogation leaving the task to the Sheriff who will no doubt have better knowledge the surrounding area and etc. and be able to ask better questions, but he will wait and listen for any new information or ideas as to what he can help out with afterwords. This of course, assuming the Sheriff doesn't request his assistance in the matter. Cale also pauses for a moment and pulls out a empty vial found on one of the goblins, and hands it to the Sheriff. "Any idea what this might be? I found it on one of their bodies, seems empty but there are a few drops of something. Might be important... I don't honestly know."
