that particular force mage, yes, it used wands. I could work it differently, especially since we're starting at a different level entirely. My plan would be to keep the general style and probably the class progression.

HP will be max at 1st, then 1/2 HD after that. Campaign info has been likewise updated.

I guess we could make it half +1. That does tend to be more standard.

My plan for this game (which I only really have because we talked irl, lol) is to play the "Survivor." So don't plan on me doing tons of damage or taking aggro, but I'll prolly be able to run past hordes to grab equipment and get back with it. multiclassed all to hell, if you're wondering.

Lol works for me. Definately the aggro monkey here though. Knight ftw. And a fair bit of damage. Dwarven WarAxe + power attack.

So we don't have anything that can heal or is actually made to fight undead... This'll be fun!
No, honestly, I think the game might be shortened by it, but we'll take plenty of enemies down with us.
I was looking over Pierce's stats, and apart from one feat which was taken at 9th level, it looked like I didn't have to worry much about the whole "needs disposables" thing...
Apart from starting with only 2k gold (which is less than normal starting gold for 3rd level if I remember correctly) do we have any other limitations on what we can start with?
Also, was there any response on my previous suggestion of being able to convert old or otherwise useless items into something? I wouldn't expect it to be one-for-one, but maybe being able to scrap an item to turn it into something else of half-price...
The thought I had was a fighter type being able to grab a weapon they don't want, scrap it and use the magical essence to power up their own weapon. Like grabbing a random +2 weapon to be able to add a +1 bonus to a current weapon or something similar. That of course would only work if the weapon wasn't magical or something. Maybe you would need multiple items to scrap.
I only offer the idea as an idea, I'm not saying it's a good idea or it "fits better" in the campaign than the current style. I'm just offering something that may not have been thought up and might help the characters work with more optimal equipment. I could just as easily see the whole, "you get what you get" being part of the purpose and we'll need to just deal with having next to nothing the whole game ;D

I'll go the melee damage route then. I will be playing a warblade or a swordsage potentially working my way towards Whirling Dervish if possible. I don't know how many levels we will be getting so that is a big maybe. I will focus on splattering as many zombie guts as possible.

Hey! i fight undead!!... Kinda!.... sorta.... not really... But hey, I can hack their arms off with the best of them! Besides, not many low level undead are going to get past my 22 AC.... hopefully.

Sweet, so it looks like we'll have 2 up front fighters (1 defense, 1 damage), a runner, and 2 blasters. Looks like a pretty good mix, I'm guessing we'll be allowed to discuss tactics before we are sent into the fray? Probably have the two fighters stand out front to keep the hordes from reaching the blasters who'll stay back and pick off the tougher enemies. It's a pretty simple game plan, nice and straight forward. Oh, and Dave'll do what he said he will

Yeah, Since it seems like its more than just a single room from what he has told us so far, I figure if we can find a room with a 5 ft doorway, i can take directly infront of the door, with the other fighter next to me so he can hit whatever comes into the doorway. I figure if we can do that we can hopefully keep from getting overwhelmed. I am kind of scared about the lack of a cleric, but we'll see how it goes I guess. Kind of looking forward to it. Been wanting to play a Knight for a while, I love some of their abilities. Things will have a hard time getting by me. Oh, and as a note, hopefully I'll be able to single out the tougher enemies for the blasters to take out. I loves the Knight's Challenge ability!

2k starting gold is less than normal, but only by 700. And it's not like you can't get plenty with 2k.
discussing tactics is fine. it can be assumed that you have done so just before you are teleported in. Also though, I will let you know that the entire dungeon is 10-ft wide labyrinthine corridors, except for your starting location. And the walls are all 6 inches of stone.
